My box from BBTS arrived today so I'm finally complete with the Remastered series.

Do the Remastered figures have miscolored joints like Red Trini from the color swap pack? They're pinless too, but most of the pinless rangers so far have seemed to get the colors right, at least to my eyes. But Trini is just bad. It may help determine whether I try to hunt them down later or not.

It kinda sucks now too, I think Hasbro is just starting to figure out how to make these well, and now they're doing a hiatus. Le sigh.

I know Red Ranger's knees are miscolored, I can tell this just by seeing reviews.  I have Yellow, Blue, and Black, and they are all OK.

I honestly don't think "figuring it out" is the issue.  I think everything is figured out just fine, they just have to keep people rebuying.  This goes for all Hasbro lines, not just LC.  They know what they're doing.

Oh yeah - they totally are doing this on purpose at this point.

Snizzard is down to $9.99 on Amazon, as well as Finster. At that price, I couldn't not buy Snizzard. That's almost what the original cost 30 years ago!

Even though it's a monster I have no recollection of.

Brian Kranston. It was an ok episode. Wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad. The Japanese versiom was crazy, but most of those are.

Finally got the rest of the remastered Rangers.

It's really frustrating that they still effed up on Green, what's with the blatantly wrong belt? I did a swap with my Evil Green and put the lines on the belt so he can match. So annoying.

Also got Rita too! She turned out really great, love the face plates! She's pinless but I'm surprised they didn't give her the double jointed arms. Either way she blows the old one out of the water!

You never have to ask this question with Hasbro.  The answer is ALWAYS, "So they can sell you a fixed version later" (and then that "fixed" version will have its own built-in flaw).

Still, technically this is "accurate" because he appeared with this style holster for a blink-and-you-missed-it period of time in the American footage.  But yes, I'd have preferred the full sheath for the dagger from the Japanese footaget as many probably also do, and as Hasbro probably knows.  "Come back for the next Green Ranger", right, Hasbro?

I forgot to mention, when I end up using this Scarlet head on the Bo Katan body, I'm thinking of painting Bo Katans hair blonde and throwing it on the Lost Galaxy Pink figure, and making it Karone. The face isn't terribly different, but the hair looks similar. I used a Luke head for SPD Omega Ranger Sam, and messed with that hair color a bunch to get it similar. I think it could work until we get an official Karone, if we ever do. And if not, I'll at least have her. I don't think a hair swap would be possible on the other Karone heads cause I think her hair is sculpted on with those, which is weird. And even if it's not, it may take alot more modification that I'm willing to do to get it to fit. Not to mention she went alot lighter on the makeup when she was a ranger then when she was Astronema (lol) so that requires face altering too. Oddly enough, one of the Kat heads could work too. But this is the pic I think is where she's similar to Bo Katan.

If anyone has ideas for a Bulk and Skull head, I'm all ears.  I've been kicking around custom ideas.  I thought MCU Ned body for Bulk, I could cobble together something for a Skull body if I really sat down and thought about it, but darned if I know what would make for good heads.

Won't Ned be too short?

Buffy Fool for Love Spike head has the open mouth and maybe similar-enough face shape for Skull. Maybe Kingpin for Bulk? MCU Loki for Skull?

It was very hard not to type Skrull all those times. 🙂

Their faces are so unique I can't think of really anything that could even be passable. And the Kingpin body seems like it would be too skinny. No offense to Bulk, but his name says it all. Yknow, I literally just realized their names are plays on their features. Bulk is huge and Skull is stupid. I can't believe I never connected the dots on that. I thought they were just 90s names for Punk type characters.

Both of the Astronema heads have separate hair pieces, but the first one looks nothing like her.

They nailed the second version though.

I met Steve Cardenas (Red Ranger Rocky) yesterday and added yet another signature to this picture I drew way back in 1995.  Steve was awesome.  He gave me a lot of praise for may pic and took a picture of it to put on his instagram.  Originally I was only going to pay for the signature and skip the photo.  After I left I changed my mind and decided to do the photo too.  I went back and when I reached for my wallet for the photo, he told me to put my money away and did the photo for free because he liked my pic so much.  Great guy!

That only leaves Amy Jo Johnson.  JDF and AJJ were both in my area before COVID, but I had forgotten about this picture at the time and JDF has since passed.  It will forever be incomplete.  I do have a Cameo from JDF that my brother got for me for my bday the year before, so I do have SOME personalized piece of JDF memorabilia.  

I met Austin St. John and Walter Jones as well and got some comics signed by them.  I'd love to meet Catherine Sutherland, but I have no idea what she could sign. (Kat hasn't even appeared regularly in the comics yet).  I think after AJJ I might be done autograph chasing.

Looks like BBTS is blowing out their Super 7 stuff at the moment so let me just say that I recommend their Goldar.  He's much more imposing and well painted than Hasbro's and he scales well with any of the monster of the week figures that Hasbro has done.  I don't think you can go wrong with him.  Granted I have yet to pop his wings in and I hear that is an issue for some collectors.  He's 50% off now.
