🙂 I was actually curious how people are feeling about Black, Green and Red Remastered now that they're out. How do the colors match between body parts? Likenesses in hand? I still want the smiling Jason head they only SDCC-released.
The first Tommy head is too small. I would've liked a revisit of that look and just make it a smidge bigger. And the figure needed up/down wrists. It came with side to side. Otherwise it is still a great figure.

My guess is that this is a "30th anniversary" release and White Ranger didn't appear until season 2. My guess he's one of, if not THE first out of the gate when/if this line returns.

I can only speak for Black because that's the only one of the three I have so far. The whites are ever so slightly whiter, not much to make a big deal over. The Zack likeness is as off in-hand as it looks online.

I can't put my finger on it, I guess, it's a very stern look which I don't associate as much with Zack.
Pulse charged me for the Omega 4 pack. Probably will ship it next week since it was for a November 1st release. Just a heads up.
I bought a couple GI Joe Classified Snake Eyes Origins Scarlett figures for $11, cause I want to use the heads for customs. I have a thing for red heads and this head looked perfect for what i wanted to do. So 1 I'm gonna put on Bo Katans body and paint it a different color, maybe purple or black, or a mix of both, and make her a mandalorian. But the second head I was thinking of throwing on my red ranger Trini body and painting that one straight Purple. Problem is, I would like a unique helmet for her, to make her a unique Purple MMPR Ranger. Although Bulk was purple too for a minute. So maybe a different color? The body for Trini wasn't bad. It's just the joints being an extremely noticeable shade darker then the rest of the body was awful, and her head is being donated to the Omega Yellow Trini body. That was the whole point behind owning the set. I was just curious if you guys had ideas for colors and maybe even a helmet that would look similar or fit in well. Purple was the first color that came to mind, but I'm not married to it. I'd like to try and do a color PR doesn't use often, if at all. I'll figure out the weapon after I figure out the rest of the figure. But ideas on that would be wizard too.
Maybe orange and make the helmet a tiger tiger? I would love an orange MMPR Ranger.
Maybe I should buy an extra set and do this... HMMM....
I was thinking about orange too, but Skull was Orange for a minute, alongside Bulk when he was purple lol. I'm also not opposed to making it an In Space character as well, but that would require more paint and detailing that I'm not sure I wanna do. But it would help solve my helmet problem to make it an In Space character at least.
I got the Omega Ranger set today. Never even got an email that it shipped. I wasn't expecting it.
Honestly, I am extremely surprised, in a good way. It's a good set. I had a couple of loose joints that I had to tighten, but otherwise I haven't had any issue with any of them. Paints good, nothing broke, everything is there. I really like it. The suits look good, which I always thought they did on the pages too. I have alt heads for the 3 ogs, and as suggested earlier, I will be getting Namorita to customize into Kya when it's released, as long as it's not excessively large. The body's on the girl rangers are on the small side and ML heads sometimes tend to scale large, especially with how big the female bodies are compared to the rangers. Otherwise, maybe this will be where I use that extra Scarlet head and just make her someone else, if that Namorita head doesn't pan out.
Only real gripes I have are, the girls have a hard time holding their weapons with 1 hand, the handles are really thin and smooth, so they slide easy. And the drop down hips. I'm still not sold on them. They look awkward when you pose them in any meaningful way that actually uses the feature, and it kinda makes the legs wobbly and loose sometimes. Case in point, most of the joints I had to tighten were the drop down hips, cause they were floppy. And they're hard to tighten without fusing them and possibly breaking the figure. They didn't look as weird on the Ninjetti Rangers cause of all the shit going on with their suits, being baggy and all. But they were still loose on a couple of them, I had to tighten those too. And with the sleeker suit design they looks weird in certain poses as I said. Maybe if they were engineered different, like Beast from ML. These ones are weird, and kind of annoying.
My Master Morpher arrived today and it's a thing of beauty. Bittersweet.
I finally got a "preorder processing soon" email from BBTS for the Remastered Green Ranger, I expect the rest will follow suit quickly. I've been mulling over this since they went up, whether or not to cancel, now it looks like it's time for me to crap or get off the pot. I'm just going to get them.....personally I think the pros and cons for original and reissues cancel each other out, I see major and minor draw backs for each set. I'm just going to get them in hand before I decide. Good thing I've saved a lot this past month!
