Finished watching Cosmic Fury the other day and thought overall it was a pretty great season. I've liked the whole Dino Fury crew from the start, and this last season was the best of the 3 seasons. I'm definitely a fan of the tighter story told within 10 episodes and having one larger singular storyline running.
As to where I want to see them go next, that's a tough one. They've talked about the reboot moving to a more young adult demographic, which a few years ago I was all for, but now I'm not so sure. I think what Cosmic Fury has highlighted for me is that I am happy for PR to be a 'kids themed' show, as long as we get well written characters and the storylines don't treat the viewers as simpletons.
My bigger thing is now that JDF is gone, I'm not sure I can see anyone else playing Tommy. I'm sure they can find someone. But it will feel extremely weird. But basically every character has been replaced with a new actor at some point. Literally every super hero has had someone else play them over the years, so it's not like it's a new thing.
Replacing actors is not a concern for me, even though I love JDF as much as the next fan.
"I can't see anyone else playing Tommy".
"I can't see anyone else playing Black Panther".
"I can't see anyone else playing Spock".
"I can't see anyone else playing ________".
If it's part of a franchise, they're written to be evergreen characters. If Tommy or Trini were still an active part of the continuity and the story still called for them to be there, I'd say recast (like I did with Black Panther). But things being as they are (at this point in time, at least), with their characters being done appearing regularly for 30 years, that's a bit different. But if PR continued on course and ignored the nostalgia factor and kept the original MMPR team retired, there would have been no need to address the real life passings of those two actors. Tommy and Trini could just be living happily retired for all we knew. Maybe that would have been better....?
Just some random thougths.
I got Turbo TJ today. Wow what a let down. He is 3 different shades of red, so that's cool. His chest is different then his arms and legs, which are also different from his knees. His drop down hips are so loose they jiggle. I tried tightening them, and it semi worked, but I'm worried about fusing them if I try again. But I may just glue them and say screw the drop down part. They only painted one side of his gun, (really? 1 side? Why bother?). And it isn't even the side that shows when it's holstered. The TJ has is worse then the other one, and it is different. It's smaller, somehow fatter, worse paint, and a different skin shade. Luckily I'm replacing that head with an extra Tommy head I have. But, the head I was going to use looks ridiculously small on this body. So, I'm going to use the one that came with the Foot Soldier Tommy instead, since it's bigger. I'll just paint the headband red. I had to drill it out a bit to fit, cause it sat too high. The hole was the right size, just not deep enough. I know he didn't wear his hair like that in Turbo, but ehh. I use my Foot Ninja as a Foot Ninja anyway. Also, that makes me realize this new torso is bigger in the chest. It's beefier. I didn't notice it as much on comic Yellow Jason but I do here. Another reason it makes the other head look small. The neck is also thinner then the old figures. So, bugger chest, thinner neck. The proportions are wonky. Maybe why the Sabertooth Tiger helmet looks too small for this body. And for being pinless, he sure is gummy. He's using the SPD hands, at least, I guess? So it's got up/down hinges instead of side to side. But uhh, they made other hands with those up/downs, and aren't using them. Maybe it's cause of the trigger finger for the gun. At least I didn't have to repaint anything, the paint is fine. And he came with all his weapons, both swords, and a gun, and extra hands (even if he can't really hold them well). So wtf happened with Maya?
I ordered Kendrix cause I got impatient and wanted to finish the team. We'll see how she turns out, since it's from Amazon warehouse instead of Amazon proper. It was like $21 instead of $26 or whatever. Should be here tomorrow or Friday. Be glad to have Lost Galaxy altogether. One of the best seasons imo.

This is unfortunate. This figure showed up two days ago and I thought I'd wait until my bday next week to open it. I got it strictly for the "all Tommys" figure display that everyone's doing, otherwise Turbo is the least favorite by far of the 7 total series I've watched and have no plans on getting any more figures (should they be made). Maybe I'll return this guy and just be content with Zeo being my only Red Tommy representation.
I'm sorry. It's not completely awful. But it's definitely got all those problems I listed. It was such a disappointment.
Kendrix came today. She's about what I expected. Although, she's odd. So Maya has pinless arms, one solid piece for the forarm, with the white painted on for the gloves. Kendrix has pinless arms, with 2 separate pieces for her forearm, seperared at the glove cut. So the gloves can swivel, not just the wrists. Kendrix also has pinless legs. Maya does not. And Kendrix is using the new torso with the separate neck piece. Maya is using the old one. It's all so confusing. At least the figure looks good. The Pink on her torso is a little darker then the limbs and such, but it's not as bad as the older pink rangers, mainly because it's all painted on, and it's cast in white. Her knees look a smidge darker as well, but really hard to notice. However, that does make me realize, all the figures where the plastic for the joints is darker then the plastic for the limbs, are all pinless figures, at least to my eyes. They get pinless colors right with the other lines, wtf? Also glad she came with a Quadar Saber AND her bow. Fuckin Hasbro, what did you do for Maya? It honestly feels like they just threw her together at the last minute with all the parts they had leftover from other figures. Half pinless, old torso, missing weapons... Oh, and I had to tighten pretty much all Kendrix joints. The knees were fine, but the ankle, elbows, and drop down hips were all loose af. I even had to glue her torso together. It pulled apart when I tried moving her abs and chest. The glasses are removable, so that's cool, if a little unnecessary. I wish it would've come with Karones head too, or instead. I don't hate Kendrix, but Karone felt like a more fleshed out character, probably because of her history and screen time compared to Kendrix. Yea it sucks what happened behind the scenes to make the change necessary. But I still like Karone more. Hopefully they rerelease her later with the other head.
I am really glad to have the Lost Galaxy team complete though. One of the better seasons by far.
I just finished Cosmic Fury. Overall I enjoyed it, the storyline, the characters, the costumes. I liked this team a lot and am glad we got 3ish seasons with them, it was a fitting end to their run with some good moments. I liked Zedd's roll in everything and the plot over the last 10 episodes was fun. I enjoyed the Zayto and Fern sub plots.
Criticism: There were too many sub plots woven into a very small amount of episodes and I think a lot could have been cut out, namely
I don't know for sure what the future holds for this franchise but for now, this was a good ending. If you know anything at all about this team, then definitely give it a watch.
I honestly haven't watched anything after Super Mega Force, aside from once and always. I really should do that, just haven't had the motivation. Maybe it's because of how let down I was with Super Mega Force. Dino Charge was good, and I was happy with it. Mega Force was fine. It wasn't awesome. But it was ok. But Super MF was a bit of a letdown, as was the big team up at the end. Even the extended version was meh. But I really liked once and always, so maybe I'll give the other seasons a shot when I get in the mood to watch PR.
If I decide to get the Omega Team from Hasbro Pulse, anyone know what may be a good civi head for Kiya? I don't mind painting. I'm thinking some sort of elven figure maybe, but it's gotta be cheap enough and look good with the Power Rangers figures. Otherwise I may just use a head I have laying around and say fuck it since Kiya isn't the blue ranger anymore anyway and make her my own character. Especially since I doubt we'll see the cat anytime soon.
Got my Remastered Pink Ranger from Pulse today and besides the civilian head she's perfect! The pink color finally matches and looks good!
I don't know why they can't seem to get Amy Jo Johnson's likeness right? The first figure was their best attempt, other than the fuzzy paint apps, but they've just been downgrading since.
Also on the back of the package Kimberly is the only one that mentions a specific episode, Green No More. None of the others I have say anything like that. I'm still waiting on Red and Green so I don't know if they list a specific episode yet.
@trunks3540 I was thinking of using the upcoming Namorita head for Kiya.
Well damn. That looks... almost spot on for a likeness. I may just buy it for that and throw the body in my fodder box. Just need some paint. Even has the elf ears. Thank you for this. That is really cool.

I'm keeping the first release of all the civilian heads. No they're not perfect, but in general I think they just overall better. Sure smiling Kimberly isn't for everyone, but IMO this one looks lifeless.
It looks like Hasbro is making sure the collector sites (BBTS, EE) are the last to get these in. I'm in no rush, I guess. The heat is still on from the wife for me to track October toy spending. If BBTS doesn't get them in for another two weeks I'll be happy.
Got Remastered Red and Green over the weekend. Those two were the first fliphead figures I got as a kid. Now they're the last two Lightning Collection figures (maybe even Power Ranger figures in general). Bittersweet.
@sephiroth61787 Pink fliphead was my first Ranger, that's why I appreciate the unmasked heads so much.
Some they've done amazing with, while others I'm shocked how they made it through the approval process.
Because they didn't care as much back then, and still don't do a degree. I'm hoping this hiatus is so they can fix alot of the issues they have. Like the off color plastic and bad likenesses. I'm still playing catchup with some of the ones I missed so I have a few to get still to tide me over and hopefully it comes back better. I need them to do Time Force and Ninja Storm. I would like Wes to be redone with fixed paint and a new head. And I really don't wanna buy the bike for Lucas, but I will if I see it go down enough. I like the bikes I just don't have the space for them.
I don't know anything about the sculpting process, but it seems like there's a new sculptor or sculpting style going around that's very cartoonish. LSR Blue, fer instance, and the newer Rita.
I've also noticed it over at G.I. Joe, where Grunt seems kind of exaggerated and the renders for Duke, Scarlett and Airborne look a bit simplified.
Maybe it's my imagination. Still, I wish they'd give sculptor credits. They and the painters need more credit for their work.
