@darkxorn The only thing that I dislike about the Remastered figures is how they desiged the necks which LOOKS like it should give the articulation you see on the GI Joe Classified line and instead has far less articulation than they even did before. WTF was even going on with that design decision.

Hasbro has no idea how to do a double ball peg.  There is no up or down movement in the Remastered heads to speak of, just left and right.  Please, Hasbro, stick to the disk hinge until you figure this out.

They started using the new necks on some of the females I have. They are not very good. But the girls have long hair most of the time so up and down is hard anyway. And with the helmet on, it's the helmet that limits the movement more then the actual neck. But they still didn't do it right.

For the Omega Rangers, I think they only made a small amount for the actual show, and to sell during or after or whatever, and they will put them up for preorder soon for a next year release, and they'll make more for that. They've done that for the last couple years. Stuff goes up, sells out, then goes back up for preorder for a 6+ months later release date. Alot of those even stayed long enough to go on sale when Hasbro Pulse does their once a year sale. I managed to get a couple things from the cons I thought I would never be able to, and cheaper then the original price. Except Star Wars, depending on what it actually is. Most Star Wars is gone. And then presold out when it goes back up. I'm gonna guess the Galen Marek set will be as well. But the Omega Rangers will probably be available again. And maybe even on sale at some point.

Just got my Remastered Black Ranger! I was gonna use the original unmasked head, but the new one does look a lot better in person.

It's OK, I just wish he was smiling.  The Zack Man was typically smiling and in good spirits.

In other news, I had to order that Omega Ranger set.  They just look really good.  Maybe my head canon can have them be Jason, Trini, Zack, and Kim......or Rocky, Adam, Aisha, and Kat.  Undecided.  (The comic has yet to officially introduce Kat).

I have both my Omega Rangers on the way, as well as my Turbo Red wave. Aside from the alien rangers and a few variants, I have at least one of each Ranger released. With this break coming up I will be sad not to get any for a bit, but I hope they come back with improved QC so we can eventually get every single ranger.

If not, I am very happy with what we got, and while I will always wish for more, this has been one of my favourite 1/12 toy lines I have collected. And one of the few I went deep in with Hasbro. I buy some Star Wars and Marvel, and DnD when it comes up, but Power Rangers was my bread and butter. Nothing cooler then brightly coloured martial art amazingly suited / helmeted characters / teams to fight fun and weird bad guys.

Kat was in a few comics. But mostly side stories. Like her and Tommy's wedding. She was also in the Pink mini series iirc, but only for a tiny amount of time like the rest of the replacements.

And the 4th ranger in that set is Kiya. She's the blue. I don't wanna really post too many spoilers, but she ends up getting replaced by Yale. He's a giant cat alien. They cheaped out on the set and put Kiya in there cause it was easier to just reuse the girl mold then making an entirely new figure that will be used maybe twice. 1 for this box and a possible single release later. It would be pretty funny if they did release Yale later though. With these being con exclusives I'm not sure they would rerelease them single card though. Drakkon Evo 3 wasn't rereleased. But technically Dragon shield Jason was, with the new Remastered figure. I can't imagine them making these molds for just purely this set though, not with the PR budget.

I found Maya at Gamestop so I used my $5 off on her. The figure isn't bad. The head is a little off but it's close, especially from the sides. But the lack of Quasar Saber and inclusion of that stupid bazooka are still annoying. I gave her Leo's Quasar Saber for now since I have him holding his stupid bazooka thing, just cause I wanted a little variety and I don't have any rangers with bazookas lol. I also wish she would've gotten a left hand for holding things. It's a minor thing, but it's still a thing. And it's odd how they used the pinless arms, which are new, but used the old female torso with the disc neck hinge, and pinned legs. The pinless female legs and new torso were tooled before she came out. I'm not complaining because I like the older torso better, but I just find it odd she's a mish mash of both old and new instead of what they did with Shelby and Kira.

When I ship my PoL I'll have Turbo TJ. And I'll be putting an extra Tommy head I have on that. Pretty much waiting on Wolverine from the 97 line before I ship it.

This has definitely been one of my favourite lines to collect as well.

I have remastered Green, Pink and Black in the post now. So just waiting on Red to show up and that'll be it for me right now. Definitely have my fingers cross that the line does come back with improved QC and a renewed focus and energy.

Just a heads up that the Three Zero Green and White Rangers are back in stock on BBTS and EE.  Both of these disappeared in the blink of an eye after JDF's passing last year and got the predictable high price tag on the after market.  I had a feeling these would get reissued.

I've had the Green Ranger for a few years and for $100, I can't recommend him enough.  It's an awesome figure.  I preordered White this time around.

I'm just going to throw this up here instead of posting in the TV/movie thread.  Without getting into spoilers, I'm 6 episodes deep into Cosmic Fury and I'm loving it.  It's bitter sweet because I know I only have 3 more episodes and then that's it.  Both the show and the toys are headed toward an uncertain future.

I really want figures for this cast.  I know there are 3 Dino Fury figures, but I kinda like the Cosmic Fury suits better.  But will Hasbro EVER complete either team?

As far as the show goes, the prevailing rumor seems to be that PR is in for a complete and total reboot.  As much as I love the original team, I really don't need that to happen.  It seems all of my favorite geek franchises always want to cash in on nostalgia and redo what came before instead of going forward.  I'm over it.  Dino Fury and Cosmic Fury are going forward and doing so in an entertaining way.  I want that momentum to stay.

It will be interesting to see where things go from here.

I haven't finished the series yet either, but while I'm not interested in the new costumes, I wouldn't mind adding the new weapons to my Dino Fury team.  They're pretty neat and dino-specific.

As to rebooting the series, I'm not excited for it. Sure I have a soft spot for MMPR and the groundwork they laid for all who followed, but it's nowhere close to the best seasons. I'm not even sure they're good seasons. I think the idea that people are going to be more interested in a new MMPR show than they are in just normal, ongoing PR is overly optimistic.

How good or not good the first seasons were is almost a moot point.  I mean, they'd use the same characters, but the quality of the stories they would make this time around is all up in the air.  Still, I agree, I'm not overly excited.  The attempted reboot they did a few years ago with the movie did nothing for me.  Plus they'd be throwing out 30 years of established continuity so the 40 year olds can see Tommy and Jason and Co back in action again.  It's a practice that seems to be dominating geek properties these days:  Rehash all the old stuff and let the nostalgia sell it.  It's easier than new ideas.  Like I say, I personally don't need that to happen in Power Rangers.
The last couple of seasons with Dino Fury and Cosmic Fury have brought us some entertaining PR stories with a cast that works well.  Just keep going with that formula.

Plus... they already rebooted those characters with the movie and we can still find the merchandise on the shelves today.

Are they that stupid to do it again? (Probably, but that's beside the point.)

There are only 10 episodes of the last season? Ugh, Netflix. It is barely worth starting production on so few episodes.

My bigger thing is now that JDF is gone, I'm not sure I can see anyone else playing Tommy. I'm sure they can find someone. But it will feel extremely weird. But basically every character has been replaced with a new actor at some point. Literally every super hero has had someone else play them over the years, so it's not like it's a new thing.

Once and always was also pretty good. I wouldn't mind if they just used that as a jumping off point to start again with the old actors that wanna come back.

Also, Power Ranger continuity is suspect at best, so them breaking *that* wouldn't be too much of an issue. More then half the teams lose their powers when their time is up and then get them back without any explanation for team up shows or anniversary episodes. There are only a few times I remember them even mentioning how teams get their powers back. It just kinda happens. The only real continuity was MMPR through Lost Galaxy. That was basically a continuation the whole way. And then you can kind of put Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder in there, loosely, because of their connection to each other and the fact they show Tommy flashbacks. But most of the team up episodes are just like, "hey we need help. Oh you miraculously got your powers back after 6 years? Cool. It's morphin time." And don't mention the characters again before or after those episodes. Some of them even loosely mention other dimensions for other teams, but that's usually off the cuff.

Now the comics, go into more detail about the other dimensions and universes and such. And that explains it much better. The shows don't, basically at all lol.
