Playmates still does cut ankles, visible shoulder pins, and vertical hips.
Whatever they make will be pure dogshit.
Yeah, I'm really not looking forward to it. At all.
Not to mention the heads will probably be too big, the feet too small, they probably won't hold their weapons well, if at all, and you may not want to anyway cause they probably won't be painted, look like crap, and only have 1 or 2. Oh yea, and it'll be 5 inches. Not 6. Not 4. 5. Why? Because why not? New line, new scale.
@sephiroth61787 seems Hasbro is selling off assets from Power Tangers a piece at a time. They are selling off suits and props, they have sliced up the toy license every which way so that everyone except Hasbro is making toys. It's really unfortunate.

As a PR fan, I'm happy to know the company that holds the IP rights cares so much about their property 🙄
Damn. Was hoping this would be a golden age. Instead it kinda was just, meh. I thought they were still doing a new series though.

I have a feeling the IP just doesn't have the steam it once had, and the version that seems to have any nostalgia juice behind it is MMPR. Maybe they should have started some PR x Transformers crossovers to see if that brought anybody in. Maybe from the get go they should have stripped everything down and started a cohesive universe from scratch. Maybe they should have just kept it small time instead of hoping it would become this big thing. I don't know. I think just the very nature of power rangers makes it a tricky property to handle state side and it's probably more hassle than its worth for a company their size.
Did the Netflix series ever come out? Is everything produced for the franchise already released?
If the latest season did drop, WOW did Hasbro drop the ball.

It is bewildering that they never did a PR X Transformers crossover. You would think it would be an easy sell. Moreso than the Ecto-1 or Turtle Van or Knight Rider.
For a franchise that has 30 YEARS of history with potential to sell new product every year (new Rangers, new Zords, etc), this should have appealed to Hasbro. However, it appears that Brian Goldner was the only person in Hasbro's upper management with a vision. Everyone else apparently viewed Power Rangers as the "punishment brand". Where you were sent when you weren't performing up to snuff.
If that's how they approached the brand after Goldner's death, what hope did it ever have outside of him? A lot of potential squandered because it sounds like they were ashamed of it.
This and Marvel are my favorite properties. I'm aware of the suits and props being sold through Heritage Auctions. That is truly crushing. On the other hand, I hope to get a prop from one of my favorite seasons. That would be neat.
At least there's Sentai....

Yes. Cosmic Fury is the last season and has been released. There is nothing else coming as of this moment. They're apparently trying to shop around a cheap, modernized version (with a new cast) of 10 MMPR episodes. Ugh.
Nice. How badly do Bulk and Skull scale with the Lightning Collection? Fudgeable?
Yeah, I'm not even going to try with S7 Bulk and Skull. I appreciate that they did them, but they'd never fit with my LC stuff. Hasbro never getting to them before the line died will have to be chalked up as a loss.
Was just putting some figures back on my shelves after some furniture moving, and re-displaying all my Lightning Collection dudes made me really miss the line.
They're really poseable, come with a bunch of hand options, some signature weapons, and unhelmeted heads just because. I must've been lucky with the quality control, because I never had any problems with defects, just a wish that someone cared enough to make sure paint apps were consistent across teams. I also wish I lived in a world where more people cared about the teams that weren't Mighty Morphin'. There are so many teams and villains I want from its 30-year history, but once the MMPR teat dried up, so did the customers.
I was also remembering my excitement about the Zord Ascension Project. The promise of a consistent line of assembleable but still articulated Megazords was heady, even if I knew that doing one season's worth of zords per year would put me in my 80s by the time they got them all done.
