It'll give me time to catch up. Haven't been able to get the ones I need to finish the teams I really want, let alone the stragglers. But I hope it's not gone for good. This is basically my all in line too, if I can, and PR is one of my fave properties. The designs are just really cool. And I still need a Kat Ranger from SPD and the rest of the Turbo suits.

But the QC has been trash. So if this break will help fix that then I'm for it.

The look pretty incredible.  Is this your photography work?

I really hope the QC holds for the remaining 4 Rangers.  If so I think these will be a lot of fun.

Why does Tommy have a blade blaster? He never used one. Even the Japanese Green Ranger never used one. And his holster for the dagger is wrong. It annoys me.

And yes I've seen the pics where he had the wrong holster in that outfit, but I'm like 90% sure those were promotional images. In the actual show, I never saw him using the wrong holster. Mainly because most of the Green Ranger footage should be Japanese, and they didn't fuck it up like that.

I'll maybe try to get them if they go on sale. But at that price, and with the bad QC I've read about, I'm fine with my old ones.

Minotaur on the other hand looks awesome. He is a must buy.

Although he didn't OWN a blade blaster,  he is seen using one to attack the Power Rangers when he was evil. You never see where he gets it from and iirc if you look closely at the footage during that scene none of the rangers are depicted as missing one. So is that a continuity error or his own? Who knows. But in that sense, it's accurate 

I don't care about Power Rangers, but that Minotaur is going on my list.

As for the blade blaster, Green Ranger got it from the Zyuranger props department.

So it was literally in 1 shot throughout the entire series. Makes sense why I didn't remember it. Still a waste of space in the box. I would've rather they gave him the right belt.

I'm not into roll playing props generally, but I DID just preorder the Dragon Dagger reissue today, only because I have a definite plan for its display.

I also picked up the MMPR 30th Anniversary Special comic book today with an incredible Green Ranger variant cover.

We're closing in on one year, and anything involving Tommy or JDF still gets to me.

If I could only get one more normal wave of regulars and deluxes I'd want...

That would be my short list too if I absolutely had to choose. Cause then it would finish off some teams. Plus Kat Ranger is probably my top want of figures they haven't done yet at all. Divatox is probably top 5 in there.

I’m a little surprised to hear the line is being “paused” or whatever word Hasbro is using to avoid saying cancelled. As an internal property, I just assumed it would keep going, but apparently the sales aren’t there. It wouldn’t shock me if the MMPR Rangers sell fine, but everything else lags. It makes me wonder what the property looks like when it returns. Maybe they want to focus on a younger audience with the reboot or it could simply be an “absence makes the heart grow fonder” scenario and new figures come with the expected reboot plus some missing characters from MMPR to keep the olds interested.

Yeah, it just doesn't make much sense.  PR is Hasbro's brand.  People will tell you, "Well you need a TV show or a movie to sell figures, and there's no new PR season coming out after Cosmic Fury".  That just doesn't hold up.  Not when you have GI Joe, another Hasbro brand, going strong with no back up TV or movie.  They definitely aren't running out of characters because there's tons of untapped teams and seasons to make figures for.  If it's because of sales then just tell us it's because of sales.  But then what is going to be different one year from now?

The most prevalent rumors I've read is the Hasbro is doing a big reboot of the PR franchise, making it less dependent on the Sentai footage and imagery. I don't blame them really. Most long running IP's in the west usually have some long form continuity, and that's got to be a tricky task when you are using per-existing footage then trying to get a story to fit it.  Starting from scratch essentially and being able to make a property with so many different characters be able to make sense. You as a toy company can make it make sense this Space Ranger and this Time Ranger can interact rather easily. Cycle threw all those characters frequently gets more people interested in those others characters I would think. More interest more sales.

I saw all that to say I wouldn't be surprised if LC is on hold so that the IP of Power Rangers as a whole gets rebooted and rebranded a bit, so the "New" Power Rangers gets full market coverage from the shows, to toys, to comics, etc.

Saw Minotaur at Gamestop today, didn't grab him cuz I have him pre-ordered at EE though.

I'm getting impatient waiting for the rest of the remastered figures.
