That's a really cool drawing and story, YoJoe! Once you get Amy signed in pink, it will at least look complete if she signs in the center. Plus, white ink is hard. 🙂

Did it feel good to be so much taller than a childhood hero?

I did overhear Walter Jones talking about how they originally had to two sets of actors, the "tall cast and the short cast", and they were the short cast.  I am 6'1".

That's really cool man. I only met JDF but he was amazing. Wondeful human being. It's weird that I miss him and I didn't even really know him. I almost met AJJ but I couldn't make it to the con she was at. I'm regretting it still, but such is life.

I'm not gonna try to cannibalize my better Astronema head considering how much better it looks. Plus I'll have the extra Bo Katan head anyway, I'm not buying the figure specifically for the head. If I don't like it after I mod it and pop it on, then I'll see about buying another Astronema loose and maybe paint the hair or mess with changing it. I think they actually look quite similar honestly though, same facial structure. At least that's how it looks to me.

I got Minotaur today. Another really good monster figure. The first couple were stinkers but they've done a really good job with the rest. Minotaur is no exception. Like, I don't think I have really anything bad to say about him. His hands fall off easy? That's about all I can come up with. He looks good, his joints are tight, he holds his weapons well, the paint, with what little there is, is pretty spot on. Not only that, he's so non PR specific looking that he can pass for just a monster figure for any line really. You could put him in a display with generic Dracula and werewolf figures and he looks just fine. Really pleased with him.

I received some items from RangersForge on Etsy today, very happy with the results.  I have to go back and order the new Karone head now.

I would love to go in on that White Dragon two pack from Valaverse, but I'm in big time money saving mode right now and I would only want JDF's character.  I have to decide if I want to drop $60 for the two pack.

I like those Kiya heads, but the Karone head doesn't look right. Also not wanting to drop $30 on the painted version right now, cause I can't paint faces for shit. But it does look nice. And it's $15 shipping? Umm, no thanks.

Yeah, looks like he's based out of the UK.  There are some odds and ends that he sells that would be nice and the price on the items themselves is very reasonable.  The shipping is the deal breaker, though.

Definitely. I would've probably jumped on the unpainted heads if they were like $5 shipping. I get its expensive to ship overseas, so I can't really blame him. But I can't spare *that* much. I think I may put Scarlet from the Snake Eyes Origins movie on the blue Omega body, after doing a little painting. I doubt I will make it Kiya though. I'll just make it a headcanon/alternate universe replacement. Cause I really like the suit and the design, and I love the Scarlet head. I'm gonna use it for a ton of things when I get enough to buy more. And her only being like $13 or something is fantastic. I'm gonna throw her in Mandalorian armor, and I wanted to use her for a power ranger since I saw her, so this may just fix 2 problems at once.

The Scarlet body is misproportioned all to hell. But the head is perfect for what I want to use it for.

The rest of my Remastered figures showed up today from BBTS.  With the team complete (for the second time), here's my thoughts:

PROS:
When they are all together as a team, in their helmets, with their weapons, this is an impressive looking set, and that's the most important thing.

For the most part, all the colors on all the figures match.  Pink benefits the most in this category as she came out MUCH better than her first and second releases.  The only culprit is some slight variation on Red's knees which isn't that noticeable.

The helmets are all accurate and look great.

The human heads are pretty good.  Tommy and Kim look better in person than I had been seeing online.  I think I still prefer the original human heads, but these are good too.

I was worried about the blemish that is on the left of every Dragon Shield I've seen, in person it's a non issue.  There is a slight swirelle of gold there but the noticeability depends on the angle you're looking at it.  Everything is smooth to the touch.  Shield turned out fine.  (It immediately went to its proper owner when I took it out).

CONS:
Some loosey-goosey action in the upper torso joint on some.  Pink and Yellow are both fine for me.  Blue, Black, and Green have it to varying degrees but nothing too major.  Red is the main culprit.  I may try squirting some Kiki down in there.

Nonexistent upward movement on the heads.  Baffling.  So you're a designer looking to upgrade the disk hinge.  OK.  This is what you come up with.  You test it out.  You find that the thing you are trying to improve upon can do a natural human function that this new design cannot do.  It's not as good as it used to be.  Remember, you are trying to IMPROVE something.  Do you A:  Go back to the drawing board with a different design.  B: Say, "forget it" and use the old, better design.  C:  Say, "forget it" and use the new, inferior design.

No Jason head is pretty inexcusable but I have an extra from the first release so it's not personally a huge issue, but this should have been offered.  ASJ is cleared of his legal trouble and Hasbro should pack a Jason head in for free when (if) this line returns and Remastered White Ranger is first out of the gate.

Green's Dragon Dagger holster....I don't know if I can call it an issue because the way it looks on the Remastered is accurate to the American footage.  I just would have preferred the full sheath from the Japanese footage.

Overall, I have to say I am happy with this set.  It really pops.

My Omega Ranger males were both loose in the chest joint as well. They're easy enough to pull off without breaking with a little elbow grease. You will feel like you're gonna break it, but it should be fine. I popped mine both off and dabbed some super glue in there and let it dry, then put them back together and it seems to have worked. Not super loose anymore.

I'm not sold on the new necks either. They have their pros and cons, just like the figures themselves. Since they're a seperare piece they can mold them in the color they need to be, usually white. So the paint won't rub off, cause there isn't any. And the ball doesn't seem like it will break, like some people had on a couple of the old girl bodies. But, as you said, the rom is just terrible now. They can't really look up or down. And the neck itself swivels so it looks awkward if it's not on straight. So I've been gluing mine into the chest in the proper angle so it doesn't move, looking forward, and just use the ball in the head for the swivel. I think, what they were going for, is the neck moving up and down, and that would give the head the up and down motion that the old discs did. But, as I said earlier, anywhere other then neutral and these new necks look awful. And it's still not as much up or down as the disc gives.

Unfortunately, Star Wars has adopted these necks as well, almost entirely. I haven't seen a new mold with the old necks. And Marvel Legends is also starting to adopt them. The new XMen 97 Bishop has the new neck. The Gi Joe figures I've seen and own also have it. Looks like this is Hasbros direction, and they're going all in. I hope they find a way to fix the issues with them, but odds are this is just the new norm, and they won't try to improve it. Just like shitty single knees with a useless swivel and giant ass helmets that wobble all over the place for SW figures. Paint that doesn't stay on any of the weapons for any line. And baffling accessory choices that make us question our sanity for PR.

On a good note, Lucas and his bike were only $19 on Amazon earlier. Couldn't pass it up at that price. So I bought him. Seems to be back up to full price now, but earlier it felt like a steal. Hope they eventually finish the Time Force team, and maybe redu Wes with more accurate paint. I really want Jen. Her, Kat Manx, and Tori are on my short list of girls I need yesterday.

What's your experience with the new body mold and the legs?  Not the drop down portion, but just the forward kicking motion.

On my Remastered Blue, Black, and Yellow, everything is fine.  But on my Red and Green there's some sticking.  Both of their left legs move fine more or less.  It takes some pushing, but you do get the satisfying "click" of the ratchet working.  But on both of their right legs, I don't get that "click".  They will both move but it feels like there's some resistance, like something is stuck.  I tried squirting 10 W30 into Red's leg but there's been no real change.

Both my Omega left legs don't wanna go back all the way sometimes. Like for heroic posing. I have to force it a little and then they stay, but it just feels like there's some resistance there too. The Ninjetti rangers have the same problem but theirs is on the right side. On all 4. And when I try to do any kind of slight split, both sides on all of them wanna go back to neutral. Big splits are fine, but just a hair out and they drift back slowly to center. I got Lucas in the mail from Amazon and he has the same issues.

And with that, I'll mention some things on him. Heads great, paints great, bikes cooler then I thought it would be, and he was all there and not a swap or broken or missing anything even though it looked like the box was retaped. Issues are his legs, as stated above. His left is a little resistant to going back. The split to neutral thing also. And his drop downs were awful. A terrible floppy mess. He couldn't hold a pose for shit. So I used some glue to tighten that up and he seems fine now. Swords look like Wes' swords, but they're gummier. Different plastic it seems. I'll have to seal the helmet and weapon paint before I mess with him too much. The bike is really cool though. The front wheel moves when you move the handle bars. And it has a kickstand that works. Paints all nice on it. Just kinda surprised I like the bike so much. I did have to glue the shield on the bike down, it wouldn't stay. But that's no big deal. It's crazy how Hasbro is starting to do things right with the figures and monsters and now they're taking a break, or hiatus, or whatever.

He does have another problem with his left leg I noticed though. It's not properly aligned on the thigh cut. Happens rarely, did as well on my 2 pack Pyro from XMen. So his leg is just slightly off from lining up properly. I may try to fix it. But I'm wondering if others are like that too and its a goof in the mold, or if it's a 1 off. Basically, it means the hole in his leg was drilled or molded off center or off of where it was supposed to be slightly. It doesn't look bad in poses, especially when he's on his bike. But now that I know it's like that, it'll bug me every time I look at him lol.
