I was hoping to get the Raptor Cage on sale at least, but every store around me seems to have even just skipped clearance, because what was plentiful is now absent. 🙁
I purchased the Dimetrodon at Target today. $15 (almost $17 after taxes) felt like a lot for this little guy. But I opened it, and I really like it. It's not perfect (needs side to side movement in the neck and ankle articulation for the front legs). I won't pay that for just any small dino, and certainly not for the humans, but I'm a sucker for the Dimetrodon.
Ended up snagging Owen today. He's on sale for a little under $13 on the Target app, and I had a gift card, so I figured why not. My Amazon pre-order was showing him shipping in October for some reason. With Claire on the way according to Entertainment Earth pre-orders, I figured why not. Haven't taken him out yet, but he looks quite nice. I lucked out with paint apps. I feel like he'll really be complete when Blue and the rest of the Raptor Squad gets released. To me, he's not one that's super interesting on his own, but undoubtedly an important one, and once the JW display gets built out a little more, he'll start to pop.
Looks like we have our first look at Hammond Collection Therizinosaurus! I think it looks fantastic- much more screen accurate than the first release (which I still like), even if the lighting isn't the best on the photo. I'm sure the colors will look much better when there isn't a harsh bright light above it. Not sure if each of its claws are posable- looks like maaaaybe there's a hidden joint there?- but that would be awesome CollectJurassic has hinted that the Giga is next, and they hinted at the Theri before, so I'd say it's likely. Hope Spino isn't too far after that.
New photos with better lighting and more angles. Looks like the claws are indeed articulated!
Interesting, not sure if I like those colors better or not...
I'll admit, I do quite like the white stripe and the more feathery tail of the original, even if they're not entirely screen accurate. I think it just pops a bit more and helps break up the otherwise rather dark colors. Also, I may be wrong, but wasn't the red a bit more straight and narrow along the Theri's back, versus the more spread out color on the figure's legs and such?
It's a small nit; I still love the Theri in general, so I'll still totally pick up the Hammond Collection, and perhaps try and offload my original.
Interesting role-playing item--the Barbasol cannister from Jurassic Park. Gotta be a real nerd of the film to shell out $400 for this! 😵

Saw that Mattel has renewed the license to make Jurassic Park/World toys - this after the news of a new film in 2025, but with an all-new cast supposedly.
Got Hammond Blue while the boards were down.
Grateful her head isn't as bad as the JPIII ones, though the glass eyes don't work very well at this size.
Furious I never saw the Irritator (you could say I'm "irritated"), and because of that I didn't even attempt to get it online, and now it's over $100 on eBay. It's the only Hammond I'm missing. *sigh*
@tenime ugh I'm feeling the same "irritation" on that one lol
I saw Irritator once at Best Buy of all places, and passed like a fool thinking he'll be en masse at Target. Then the same w/Anklyosuarous. Saw one once thinking there would be tons on the shelves and never saw it again. Still kicking myself for that!
Got Hammond Blue too, and I mostly like her. I agree- the eye doesn't quite work as well on the smaller scale as it does for the Rex. But she's mostly an improvement over the other Raptor sculpt, though the jaw on mine does tend to get a little crooked if I open it past a certain amount. I'm looking forward to Delta, and the rest of the Raptor Squad, whenever they get around to making them. I hope we get some Hammond Collection Atrociraptors soon; hopefully with them being in Chaos Theory, it'll drum up some more interest.
Luckily, I picked up the Irritator back when it came out, just because I love the Spino and Bary, and it was close enough to those. Still haven't gotten the Concavenator or Geosternbergia, but those still seem to be easy enough to find. I'm tempted by the Geo, just because I like the flying dinos, but I still have my old Amber Collection Pteranodon, which fits well enough into the collection, I think.
I wish I'd gotten more Gallimimuseseseseses, as they're now $70+ on eBay, and I ain't army buildin' that lol, but I got five, so it's a small flock. Would've loved a second Trike, but one was begrudgingly purchased as it was, due to no fricking jaw articulation (the size is fine with me, and I wouldn't have noticed if people hadn't pointed it out - it's significantly bigger than the humans, and big enough to fight the Rexes - fine by me).
I absolutely have Amber Pteranodon in the display, as well as the mainline Spino (holding space for a hopeful Hammond), Therizinosaurus (excited for that one, though I agree with above sentiments that the mainline color scheme is nicer than Hammond), Queztalcoatlus, Iguanodon, because the last three were childhood favorites (though I still swear I knew the Therizin as being Deinonychus-sized or at least Parasaurolophus-sized lol), and the super poseable Indoraptor, because it's perfect for Hammond as is, IMO.
I need to find some "hanging plant stands" where it's just a big wire with a hook on top, slide those behind the bookcases, and hang the flyers from them.
Collect Jurassic was just showing off Delta and Claire on their Instagram page. They look alright- Delta looks pretty similar to Blue, so I'm sure if you had any issues with Blue, they may carry over to Delta. Claire looks.... alright. It's her Fallen Kingdom outfit, which is arugably her most interesting. Her face isn't great, but it's hard to get the likeness on the smaller figures. And hey, we're all in it mostly for the dinos anyway, right? I'll snag her once she's on sale.
Edit- looks like the Pyroraptor got shown off too, just on a different page. Jurassic.Collector showed off some photos of it. I think it looks really nice- I quite like the colors on it. Wish it wasn't so shiny and plastic-y looking, but maybe a little matte spray could help
I didn't even know about the Giganotosaurus, so I missed its & the Therazin's preorders. Claire & Delta are still pre-orderable on Target.
Also just learned about the Habitat Defender Triceratops that of course, has an articulated jaw. I'm wondering if the head-size & paint color are comparable to the Hammond, so maybe a swap would be possible...
