Amazon proper has the HC Brachio for half-off with a 20% coupon on top.  1-day Prime shipping too.  I got one.  Treat yo self!  Plus Target has some great deals also.  Got the Mamenchisaurus for $45.  Lord I have no idea where 2-more large sauropods are going to go but at those prices I need them.  Looks like my store has the HC Carnotaurus so I'll probably end up grabbing that when I go to pick up the Mamenchisaurus from in-store pick-up.

You really can't dismantle the Legacy Brachio can you?  Tail, legs and neck once assembled?  Might try to sell it.  However, if I can't I'll donate it to some kids or Goodwill.

I tried disassembling my Legacy Brachio when I moved last year, but no go. And now I'm also in the boat of "need to sell to help pay for Hammond Brachio" (which I nabbed at Target back in November for a little over half price - definitely would've liked to have done even more of a discount - oh, well).

Snagged the Carnotaurus for the recent Target 30% off as well. Still not a fan of the smaller-than-T-Rex arms, but otherwise I really really like it. I've been noticing that with this line (Hammond). Dinos I have no intention on getting looking really nice in other people's pictures, and turning out even better in hand.

Also, Delta before Blue!? Legitimately shocking lol.

So you're saying they're too small or too big?  Comparing them as being smaller than T-Rex implies they're aesthetically too small, but anatomically the criticism would be the opposite since the only carnotaurus specimen found to date had no elbows and had even smaller arms than Jurassic World depicted them.

I find the Hammond Carno more aesthetically pleasing with the elbows but yeah, they are too big compared to the screen dino.  I agree, these things always impress me more in-hand.  The ones I have not initially been super enthused about end up being my favorites once I have them.  Carno is a great one.  Same with Baryonyx.  I really ended up liking that one more than I ever thought I would.

Really digging the Hammond Brachio.  I was thinking it was just the Legacy body with new tail, legs, neck and head.  Was not expecting an entirely new sculpt.  Lots of great skin detailing.  Makes the Legacy one look too soft in comparison.  If I had the room I'd keep both, maybe have the new Hammond one up on her hind legs next the Legacy but, yeah, room is getting to be a premium these days.

My issue with the Hammond Carno is the neck articulation.  Best range of motion is when the neck is pushed higher up (in a more erect position).  However, I think this dino stands up straighter by default, right?  So when it's standing up, the head/neck should be more down.  So the articulation works best when it's not in a default stance.  If that makes any sense.  Still, a nice figure.  Loving (most of) the Hammond stuff.

I would be sort of tempted by the Hammond Brach if not for the fact I own the first one.  And don't even have room to open all the other large dinos I have.  Maybe once it's marked down, I'll be more tempted.

The sauropods definitely dominate my display.  Still we've gotten them all so I guess that's good, barring any future Hammond Collection version.  Don't have to worry about cramming any more into the setup.  Dreadnaughtus was a pain to fit in!  I don't know if I "need" upgraded versions of the others though.  The Brachio IMO was kind of mandatory being the first full-reveal dino we see in the series and at $36 I couldn't resist.  Maybe if I can get them cheap like the Brachio I'd bite.  Sauropods just need to be big not super-articulated IMO and the Legacy versions definitely do that well.

Because most non-dinosaur people have never heard of the Carnotaurus, the T-Rex is known for having laughably small arms compared to the rest of its body.

To me, I've always thought it was part of its charm. Small, but not "too small."

Alternatively, I've never liked the look of the Carnotaurus, because of how much smaller to the rest of its body, its arms are. They are aesthetically to me, "too small." It is not a criticism of the Jurassic design or Mattel's sculpting, but of evolution itself for making such a dumb-looking creature. 🤣

What I'm saying is Mattel's sculpting made me not hate how it looks (as much, lol). (Of course, I also preferred their "anatomically too big" feet, as an aesthetic preference. But all of the "scientifically accurate" buzzkills clearly changed that going forward.)

I envision snakes when I see those tiny arms.  Snakes used to have legs but they evolved to no longer have them, so it's likely that the two-legged theropods would have eventually lost them as well had that asteroid not wiped them out.

Or were they evolving them into fully functioning front legs, instead?

Found HC Owen at Target today. Would've picked him up, but he was $18.99 before tax, since it was a smaller Target in Manhattan. He ain't a super must have for me, so I can wait. He looked pretty good though. They're really stepping up their game with the HC.

Saw Hammond Owen today, but he's an easy pass.  Don't care for any of the World movie characters enough to buy them.

I did buy the Hammond Dimetrodon.   I wasn't aware of this, but it's one of the smaller, Raptor-sized, dinosaurs.  Thought it would be bigger.   Also, no ankles for the front legs, but the back legs have ankles.  Odd decision as I would assume the front legs are what people are going to see first and should have more dynamic articulation.  Another one of the head-scratching decisions for the line.   Also, the neck is a swivel hinge which means you can't really pose the neck looking to each side except for tilting.  As is, the neck only turns and looks down, since the spines on the back of the neck restrict hinging upward.  Which stinks when combined with the lack of foreleg ankles, since they don't allow the dino to rear up ward to face any oncoming attackers.  Neck should have been a ball socket and front legs should have had ankles.  As is, it's ok but not really worth the $16 I paid compared to other product from the line.

@ashtalon Did you get street-dated for it? I saw someone online say they couldn't get Owen because he was register locked until the 7th or 8th, I think, and isn't Dimetrodon in the same wave?

Either way, it's one of the ones I'm more excited for, and wouldn't mind paying a small bit extra.

Did the in-store option for HC Owen this morning.  My store is never going to have items on the shelf day of release so you always have to do the in-store pickup if you able to.  I did cruise the aisle because I can't find the Barry ATV set online and many are finding them on shelves already.  No dice but like I said, not really shocking for my area.  Kind of weird that Blue won't be out for several months, should have been paired with Owen.

I love Owen.  Thought he came with his rifle from the movie too but I guess not.  The night vision camera head gear should have honestly been included with Blue and then give Owen his rifle.  I hope the rest of the HC raptor squad get head gear on their own.  Been wanting a proper JW Owen since the Mattel line started, or at least a basic blue shirt Owen in vest.  Don't know why we only got a weird battle-damaged blue shirt/vest Owen and a tan shirt/vest Owen in the Fallen Kingdom line.  Now for an end battle Claire.  I also wish I could find a 1:18 Triumph motorcycle too.

I did see the Barry set yesterday at my local Target, but not in the same aisle as all the JW stuff. There were a couple sets on an endcap over in the girl's/kid's section, oddly enough.
