@nightwolf Amber was the previous 1:12 scaled figures. Hammond is 3/34 or 1:18 scaled. Here's a pic from the TFW2005 boards showing the difference (amber in the back, Hammond 2nd from front):

Should mentioned that that is the older Hammond sculpt, as there's a new Raptor sculpts they released starting with Blue.

If you're looking for 1:12 raptors, you'd want the Amber collection, or the new Nanmu raptors are probably a better buy.

@karl_space

Thank you Karl, ill most likely use this Ghost as a baby Raptor since Hammond is smaller. Cant believe i didnt get into this line earlier, im hooked. they are fantastic!

Sidenote: is the red one in that pic a Hammond as well?

@nightwolf Happy to help. I've been hoping they re-release the JP raptor on the new Hammond sculpt as it's miles better than the first one (smaller feet, better head, etc).

The red one is the vintage raptor sculpt, but maybe a rerelease? The standard release back in '93 was brown with black stripes.

You picked a good time to jump onboard, @nightwolf! The latest releases have all been pretty stellar; Hammond Collection has definitely found its sweet spot. I definitely agree with you, Ghost is fantastic. I'd still say the best Raptor release yet- Veloci or Atroci. I keep finding myself either staring at or playing with it absent mindedly. I know they keep changing and tweaking the sculpts a bit with every release, but they're definitely pretty darn close to perfecting it, I'd say. Even if they stop there and release the rest of the Raptors with the same make as Ghost, I'll be happy.

Only thing I'm unsure of is if I'd want them to go back and re-do the JP1 and JP3 Raptors in the new style. None of them are bad, per se, at least in my opinion, but even just by looking at them, the JP1 Raptors especially, you can tell they're a bit of a downgrade. Which I don't necessarily mind- especially for the older JP1 Raptors, a different, older-looking style feels fitting. I just don't want them to stand out for the wrong reasons.

I keep checking Target's page for the Allosaurus to see if it's gone on sale yet. The base price ain't bad, but I'm trying to behave a bit. But the toy collecting goblin keeps calling to me, Willem Dafoe style.

Collect Jurassic posted a photo of a possible HC Troodon that popped up over a Nuremberg Toy Fair. Looks pretty sweet if true! I might actually break my "only movie/show dinos" rule if true. I really liked how creepy they were in the Telltale game.

The new trailer for Rebirth is out, and I think it looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to see which dinos we get from it in Hammond Collection. The couple little glimpses we get of the new big bad dino look really cool, and like it could make for one heck of a figure.

Has anyone figured out what that dino is?  I saw the trailer; looks cool.  Interesting that they said the dinos too dangerous for the park were kept there--can you tell where they are?  Is it just the other island they were on in Lost World?  I'm guessing not and it's a new place.

That scene with the spinos circling the boat looked bad-ass.  😳

I haven't been digging too deep for details but...

Spoiler
potential movie details
The big bad dino is some kind of hybrid.  It's been said the Rancor and Xenomorph influenced its design.  I believe there are other hybrids as well.  And this all takes place on a different island.  Where they were apparently dumping these things.  I could be wrong though, as like I said, I haven't been following too closely.  I did suggest that since they're making up new animals for these films, they may as well introduce chimeras, manticores and dragons as well.

Dinosaurs are cool enough, we don't need any more multi component dinos.  Really getting sick of Jurassic Park: Extreme!
