Finally got in the Theri and Giga (only a week later than Target's estimate). The tails on both had somehow burst out of their restraints and were rattling around their boxes- don't know what they got up to on their road trip! Both look absolutely fantastic- no real gripes so far (other than maybe the room they all take up, but that's a small nit). So cool to have the big 3 from Dominion in HC already! The Hammond Collection is like THE line I wish I had as a kid- I'm loving them all so far!

Looks like this year's SDCC exclusive is Jimmy Buffet with his margaritas and Dimorphodons. Can honestly say it's one I never thought we'd ever get, and while I do love me a good margarita, I think this one is skippable for me. Especially since the Dimorphodons look to be totally unarticulated and kinda barely a step above those little plastic dinosaur figurines I had as a kid. I'll wait for the HC Dimos. Cute idea, though, and one that makes a perfect exclusive, since it's not taking up a spot from any more requested character. Though, if they're doing Jimmy, that makes me hope even more for a Zia one day. Barely much more screentime than ol' Jimmy, but her death was iconic, and used in like every promo for the movie.

EDIT: whoops, not Zia, Zara. Guess I'd never thought about it before that there are 2 female characters in back-to-back Jurassic movies with obscure, similar sounding "Z" names.

I could skip it, though I'm at least going to try for it, lol. I'm wondering though if it'll stick around like some of their past exclusives that end up being included in future sales.

However, I'm afraid those would be the Hammond Collection dimorphodons. Prove me wrong, Mattel.

I mean, properly scaled compies would have to not only be solid, but "army man" style with molded bases (or maybe one base, with a gaggle of them sculpted to it), lol.

Do I believe articulation could be added to properly scaled dimos? 100%

Do I believe any major company would? Not a chance. 

Look at how often companies like Hasbro will deny 1/12 scale smaller figures like Rocket Raccoon or Spider-Ham or Howard the Duck common articulation points, despite the fact their 1/18 scale figures have those same articulation points at a smaller size that would be required for the 1/12 guys (meaning, 1/18 Luke Skywalker's wrist joint would be smaller than 1/12 Howard the Duck's ankle - not that a 1/18 Howard would have articulation a 1/12 Howard wouldn't lol).

Picked up the Hammond Pyroraptor today at Target.  I didn't even remember this one being solicited yet.  I know it's on the packaging for the Giga and Theri, but I was surprised to see it on the peg.  No streetdate.  087-26-5805.

I know my PO says Claire & Delta are due sometime next week (so probably the 21st, since they do new release toys on Sundays, and that's the date MotU Splinter was getting blocked for).

EDIT: Trying to find a link for the Pyro, I see the Thera & Giga are back in stock online, for those who still need them. I've still only seen the Thera in store, and only one store so far.

Definitely excited for the Pyro. Held off on getting the basic one for ages, but I came close a couple times. Glad I waited. I'm not terribly stressed about finding it in store- the bigger Hammond Collection figures are always quite plentiful. I only just recently stopped seeing Rexy, but the Carno is still quite plentiful, and Theri and Giga aren't hard to find either. The smaller dinos tend to stick around for a bit; not as long as the bigger ones, but I usually get at least one or two good chances to snag them before they stop showing up. They almost always go on sale right after I buy them, but at least in the case of the Pyro, it's one I don't mind paying full price for. Delta too, I suppose, but Claire is probably gonna have to wait for a sale.

Grabbed a pyroraptor myself today.  Great little figure.  These are always a joy to open to fiddle with.  Decent cost, not super impossible to find.  I love this little line.  I imagine Claire and Delta will be available for in-store pick-up Sunday morning.  Been able to nab most of these at midnight of the street date online.  

I also saw a multipack of the mini JP dinosaurs at Target.  But this new mini pack, labeled Chaos Theory, also has some human characters.  Almost Action Fleet size humans.  Thought that was interesting.

Claire & Delta just shipped! Hopefully it's quicker than the estimated 29th, guys...

Hoping to nab Claire, Delta and the new ML Warbird Sunday morning.  

Despite being on the same order, and shipping at the same time, Claire & Delta shipped separately (yeah, yeah, "different warehouses"), so only Delta showed up yesterday. Claire's not due until next Monday, for some dumb reason. 😒 Tried a few Targets since Friday, but no one had any Pyroraptors. ☹️ 

Two down, two to go! Let's hope we don't have to wait too long!

Delta looks pretty good. The green is a nice shade and will probably really stand out well on the shelf. Haven't gotten many green dinos yet, at least in HC, so I'm excited to get her. Not sure how I want them to handle the rest of the Raptor Squad. I definitely want to finish the lineup, but I don't know if I want them more scattered, and to release other dinos in the meantime, or hold off on new things to finish the squad. Definitely hoping for some Atrociraptors soon too, but I doubt Mattel just wants to release alternating Velociraptors and Atrociraptors in the small line for the next year or two.

I do wish that the HC JW Raptors came with the little head cam things. Don't even know if I'd use them on all of them, but it would be nice to have the choice to add a little more flair. I know Owen came with one, and maybe they could throw another in with Echo, Charlie, or Beta, since she's so small.

God, I don't want to spend $15 on a scale Beta unless she comes with another figure lol...

I agree. With her being as small as she is, I'd either want her packed with either some Compys or eggs or something. I can see them maybe packing her with some locusts, which I definitely do not want or need (bugs give me the heebie-jeebies). At least with the Baby Rex we got the muzzle and bandage, but Beta didn't really do all that much. I could also see her being released in a set, ala the JP3 female raptor. Either with Owen and Blue, or maybe Maisie (probably the only way I'd buy a HC Maisie, tbh).

I absolutely want Maisie, but definitely do not like having to buy figures I already have to get ones I don't (still have a spare JPIII Grant because I wanted two females), so I hope if they do either figure that they come together lol.
