I think it's more like they don't have the rights to produce a 6" figure in the states, because hasbro has the license for that.
Yep, but Hasbro also has the license for Marvel and Star Wars, but Mafex freely makes figures from those and sells them in the states. What happened with the Indy license is what interests me.
Just got Elsa. Really like her.
And with a little editing: the return of evil elsa:
I really like mine too.
It just REALLY bums me out cuz I want Willie.

Different licenses and different contracts. Not all of them are the same, even IF The Mouse now owns them all.
Would someone please be kind enough to take a comparison photo of Elsa next to Marian? I'm curious how their body parts and proportions line up (or don't).
I wonder if the same skinny peg that was in Marian's waist is used to give Elsa her torso articulation too. Could you put Elsa's torso on Marian's legs, or is it more of a ball joint going from Elsa's waist into her torso?
So. I build a gigantic playset for the Adventure Series. I love toyphotography and the moment I heard about the Adventure Series, I got the idea of a big, modular temple playset with plenty different rooms spread over several floors, all in the form of one big (toy)box to play in and to take photos with. The perfect opportunity to finally give xps foam a shot. I started back in may, sat down and designed a box that would contain over ten rooms and hall- and crawlways, some of them modular, all of them linked to each other and following a logical progression pattern. Building the thing took me a month and painting it, which I really suck at, took another month. I still need to do some things here and there – especially on the outside (I might turn it into an Ark-box), but the interior is pretty much finished.
The temple has a rope-bridge (removable), interchangable spike and blade traps, secret doors, riddles, pedestrals and all outer walls and the roof are removable (held together with magnets). And because the thing wasn’t big enough already, I also build a big temple entrance.
I’m pretty proud of the design, but… the temple is empty now and turned out way to big for what we got with the adventure series. Back when I started, it didn’t even cross my mind that hasbro would omit any and all army builders and just stop with huge holes in the line. I really thought I could have Indy fighting german soldiers or thuggees in there. I also had Ideas for a couple more cool playsets, but considering the state of the line, there is no point.
Still, this was a fun build.
Got the Figuarts Indy for Christmas and wow, he's great. The vivid paint might not be weathered enough for Indy, but it looks aesthetically great and those head sculpts are fantastic. Very pleased and he's well worth the $60 to $70.
Elsa looks like Doody.
I got SHF Indy today and he is a gorgeous figure. The smiling head sold me that I needed to get it. Really puts a cap on the Indy display that I'm pretty content with (I'd definitely take more figs, but if this is it, it's more than I'd ever hoped for... I've just wanted ONE good Indy figure so beyond that is crazy to me!).
It's been an interesting and fast collection built over the year. Some of these figures have been prioritised buys (initially just wanted to secure Indy and Toht), impulse bought (came across the second wave and bought most of them on the spot), planned for (final wave was a stakeout to see what websites would get it in stock here first - thankfully, I "chose wisely"!), waited out for (the Marcus/Belloq two pack was painstaking to wait until Amazon had a price drop! Same with a second Toht) and ultimately splurged for (SHF Indy... although I kinda got a really good deal with him via Amazon). I didn't get the temple escape Indy, I'd have liked the pedestal but there's just no financially sensible option at the moment... I'm hoping it pops up somewhere online I can access it. Also haven't got Cairo Indy but I am watching it on Amazon. If it drops low enough (it's not even anywhere near normal figure prices yet) then I'll explore it.
But, living in Australia, I've been fortunate that all the other exclusives were easy to get here via Zing or JB Hi Fi. JB is clearing them out now as well - they obviously jumped on way too many Map Room Indy figs.
Hell of a line, happy to have it. Another "grail" for me (pun intended!). If they do more, fantastic! If not, it's been a fun line, more than I expected, and while I'd have loved a few more of the missing characters everyone else wants, I'm not too upset with the character selection and number of Indys we got.
Oh, and if you're wondering where Renaldo is... he's driving the Fortnite boat in my GI Joe display:
I hope Hasbro realizes the popularity of this line.
It's one of the threads with the highest engagement here.
Hell yeah, amazing collection.

Never before did I have that much trouble telling if a line was doing fine or not.
@damon I kept looking at the purchase numbers that Amazon lists and most were typically listed at double the Black Series numbers.
I'm just hoping they make at least one more wave.
