Came across Cairo Indy at GameStop today, and I had a $5 rewards coupon that was gonna expire, so I bought it. Still not understanding what the extra charge is for.

Yeah, it's a bit weird. Gotta say though, he quickly became my favorite Indy figure so far. It's a cool look and he has more range of motion in the elbows then the others.

Another multipack concept:

Okay, these aren't essential at all, but I'm a huge fan of the Young Indiana Jones show and I'd love to get a Flanery-Indy and there is no Flanery-Indy without Remy, so I threw him in there as well. If they would make the LC-Sallah figure, Remy would mostly be re-use of that body. Same with Flanery Indy who whould just need a new vest overlay piece. Still, these two alone propably don't have enough pull to justify a set. A Harrison Ford-Indy from the episode "Mystery of the Blues" could mitigate that problem. This would be a fun con-exclusive. I'd just love to have these.

Another great mock up, @Damon, but you lost me here. No connection to Young Indy.

Ah yeah same -- I saw young Indy and was like that does not look like River Phoenix and that's the wrong costume lol

But all these mock ups are great. I'd love to see your take on an Indy and Marion two pack where they are stuck in the well of souls chamber if you ever get around to it. I'm inclined to believe thats most likely an exclusive we may get one day from Hasbro, and who knows, if they see a good mock up maybe they'll make the offering as good as it.

Also was able to grab two Map Room Indys from Target this AM. They should be available on the site too for in store pick ups and delivery.

Damon, can you do one for Vogel & Sallah?

You asked and you shall reviece. 🙂

Thanks!

I would buy this in a heart beat. Crusade was the first Indy movie I got to see in theaters. I even remember buying the book of it at the elementary school book fair. I don’t know if Hasbro could make anything I would want to buy more than this across any of their lines.

My Crusade Indy and Henry Jones Sr arrived as well. Both came out great and the adjustable fedora turned out pretty good in my opinion. I really hope they find a way to squeeze out a few more waves and/or exclusives.

It really wouldn't take all that much to make the line feel at least somewhat complete (and fun). About 16 figures, give or take, and half of them are re-use heavy.

Here is another 2-pack concept, this time for Dial of Destiny

It's hard to argue for figures from a movie that bombed, but I feel like there are only two more figures from DoD that would be deemed essential anyway: Klaber and Teddy. Klaber could really work as a goon for other lines as well and while he would allow lots of re-use, reducing the cost, Teddy would require a completely new body. Except, if they can shrink the molds. Then they could use Klabers Legs, lower arms and hands. Also, It's kinda stupid to have Dial of Destiny figures without having the, you know, titular dial. So I threw that in for good measure as well. The alternate Teddy Sombrero-Head is a neat idea, but could be scrapped to keep the budged down of course.

Map Room Indy arrived today, a day ahead of schedule. He's nice! Nothing groundbreaking- still plenty of reuse, but it's executed nicely. Even get a bit of weathering on his robes. The Staff of Ra looks nice and clean as well. He looks nice beside Sallah and the Ark. It's nice to have variants that clearly "go together", if that makes sense. Anywho, I'm happy to have him, and look forward to the Last Crusade figures coming soon.

@damon I'm absolutely loving all of the mockups!

I would buy any and every single Willie figure if they make any.

Any mock ups for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?

Any mock ups for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?

Of course 😉

For this one I went against the multipack concept and simply designed a whole wave, the last one. Each Movie should have gotten it's own wave - Dial of Destiny included - and KotCS is no exception. And it's not a complicated as I initially thought. Hangar 51-Indy, Professor Indy and Dovchenko are mostly re-use and and Mac could re-use a lot from a possible LC-Sallah, leaving Irina and Mutt as the only entire new sculpts. That's doable. I choose the Crystal Skeleton as the "Build an Artifact". I think the same was done with the smaller line back in 2008 and fans might want to army build this one boosting sales. An Indy, Ox an Marion 3-pack (Indy being re-use from DoD) could include the throne. Dovchenko would serve as the army builder on the human side and I don't think there is more from that movie that needs to be done.

As promised, here is the concept for the 3-pack with Indy (Jacket-version), Marion, Ox and the throne to conclude the Crystal Skull wave and this would be way easier to do than I thought. Indy would basically just be a re-pack of previous figures (and the head from the Hangar-Indy). I think including him is kinda necessary, for I'm not sure if Marion and Ox alone would have enough pull to sell. Marion would be mostly re-use if they made the Nepal Set and Oxley would also make (re-)use of previous Indy bodies. I mean, I'm not entirely sure, but Ox seems to wear a shirt similar to Indy's and I'd guess, the pants are pretty similar as well.

So only new pieces here would be the steering wheel, a new head and a new torso piece for Marion, a new head, new lower legs and feet and a poncho for Ox and the throne. That makes 90 bucks, please.

And because it was requested, here is another mulipack idea for Last Crusade, focusing on the beginning of the movie. Once again, Fedora would mostly be re-use, Roscoe would be half-reuse, leaving Young Indy as the only entirely new sculpt.

I'm almost through.

This is a pretty straight forward one. Indy would be an almost complete re-use of Cairo Indy, only with a new non-disheveled shirt overlay piece. The Swordfighter and the Henchman would both mostly re-use Sallah's body with only new lower arms, feet (and legs, if they want to got the extra mile) and a cloth piece. The henchman would also serve as an army builder

Another set, this time for Raiders, focusing on the Bantu Wind-Scenes. Not exactly figures I'd call essential, but I'd still love to have a Simon Katanga figure and I thought this would also be the perfect opportunity to get marion in her (second) dress out of the door to finish the lineup for the finale with the ark. And look, I even found a way to re-use Possessed Indy, keeping the cost down (for Hasbro)

And here is a fun little idea for a con exclusive or something; just a re-packed Hangar 51-Indy, a fridge and some prairie dogs for laughs.

Love the latest mock ups. I’m a simple man, these are guaranteed buys even with extra Indy figures.

I would 100% unironically buy a Nuke the Fridge playset. How infamously iconic.

You're killing these, Damon! Really hope Hasbro sees these somehow.

The Nuke the Fridge set would be a perfect SDCC/HasCon set.
