For what they are they look good, but I don't understand why they're doing another retro styled line. I was kind of hoping they were going to announce some stuff for the new movie, but it's probably safe to assume that won't be happening.
I appreciate these 3.75" Ghostbusters just because it's from such an iconic 80's film, and they made them exactly how they should have and would have been made in the 80's had Hasbro been able to on these very iconic 80's 3.75" O-Ring bodies. It also allows to more easily do vehicles and playsets.
So, I appreciate them. But I don't know if I need them. I might.......but I don't know lol.
I still really want Plasma Series Real Ghostbusters. With all these Nostalgic updates of retro toys, how can they not give us Plasma Series Real Ghostbusters?
I also want them to Haslab the shit out of a Kenner Real Ghostbusters Fire Station for the actual Kenner and Kenner Retro figures.

I just bought a vintage fire house last month and I can't wait to see how the GI Ghostbusters look with it.
I'm torn on these. I like them, the O ring thing feels kinda right for GBs, and if they actually fit inside the Ecto 1 I'm in. But I also would have loved to see Vintage Collection style figures, with more realistic detail and articulation. I've wanted 4" GBs for years, and this, while cool, doesn't fully do it for me. The proton packs specially look pretty flat and underdetailed. And of course there is a clear lack of articulation. I'm really wondering if they can even hold their wands with two hands (lol).
But at the very least they showed figures. Not the Plasma Series RGBs we want, but something.
These will look great next to my clearanced out Mego Ghostbusters set.
I assume its the same "Plasma Series" Ecto retooled? Really going cheap all around here.
Ghostbusting with no ghosts to bust...
Incomplete GB line-ups galore on my shelves...
Does Todd McFarlane like Ghostbusters? He did the GB Stranger Things figures...
ToyShiz has a video of that display with a few MLs and the Hasbro rep says the Ecto is basically a remold of the Afterlife car with a few mods to make it og GB movie accurate. Which means you can fit 2 figures in the front seat, but not the back. She did mention the Proton packs will fit on the gurney in the back.

I'd buy that product; but I cannot stand this bullshit 'retro' mindset that only 18th scale seems to be infested with. Nostalgia is the first signpost on the road to being ready to die, imho.
I'm guessing everyone saw the news that Mondo is producing 6" figures of The Real Ghostbusters? They'll be sold as two-packs and doing ghosts for this line is considered a priority. We should see them at SDCC, but I'm definitely curious. RGB was my first toyline I really got into as a kid so a set of toon accurate Ghostbusters sounds mighty tempting. And Mondo does good stuff. They probably won't articulate super well, but should at least look the part.
@misfit RHB was my first toy line too. I'm super excited for these. I expect Mondo to deliver on these, with a good balance between articulation and visual accuracy. It sounds like Alex, the sculptor, has done a lot more work on his designs since posting them on Instagram. I just hope they aren't super expensive because I will be getting them at almost any price.
You don't know how long I have been waiting for a modern Real Ghostbusters line.
It always killed me that while there was movie stuff everywhere (understandably so, it came 1st), the RGB stuff was minimal. Nice to get confirmation on the scale, too.
My hope is that with the Real Ghostbusters being more articulated like standard figures the price will reflect that...
More like NECA, but I guess we'll see, as the pricing will determine whether or not I can get these.
I'm expecting the articulation to be close to what we see out of the 1/4 scale stuff. Maybe they'll toss in double-elbows, maybe not. I'm bracing for a two-pack price of around $120 and if it comes in under that then fantastic. The recent Daria set which is two 8" figures came in at $125, but they don't feature much articulation.
I really hope when they say 2 pack they mean a Buster and a ghost. These figures should be priced around $50, if they're more expensive it's gonna be a real headache, at least for me. But I'm pretty exited for these. I do wonder why hasbro never simply took their movie body, added a few new pieces and released these themselves.
Very excited to see a real RGB line get going. I hope they do ghosts from the show and not just "companion" ghosts, but I'm not confident. Either way, I'm in.
Really hyped up for these.. I hope they don't reuse the same body for all the characters like the Diamond Select figures did.
