Ghostbusters Lines

Trailer for Frozen Empire dropped. Looks pretty fun! Won't post any spoilers here just yet, but definitely a few figure possibilities in the trailer.

@joshsquash729 Maybe I'm getting old but the trailer kind of did nothing for me. Then again, I was sort of underwhelmed by the last one (or, more specifically, the last half hour of it).

Yes Hasbro, get those sculpts ready! Lots of good possibilities in there, and hopefully maybe a jumpstart to the line in general big enough to get some GB2 figures. 

 I’m kinda intrigued by the possibilities here. I can’t wait to see more ghosts! I’m getting kind of a Game of Thrones vibe from the whole Frozen Empire thing. I hope we can get more movies and maybe even new animated shows in the future. Looks like I am going to have to jump in on that Haslab at the last minute too for my PKE and Trap!

I'll probably see the new GB film, but I'm content with the original 2 films as the stuff I'd buy figures from.  Didn't see anything from Afterlife that I needed a figure of and didn't see those figures flying off the shelves either.  I'm sure they'll make figures for this film, but I don't need Paul Rudd in a red parka with a proton pack or anything like that.  Movie looks intriguing enough to get me to watch it, doubtful on the merchandising though.  In terms of "new fans" the "cosplay" toys they're focussing may be where Ghostbusters merch thrives instead of actual figures; as much as I want The Real Ghostbusters figures from the cartoon.

They'd sell like crud, but I'd like to see figures of some of the characters from the new film in civilian duds. A Bill Murray and Dan Ackroyd could live anywhere in my collection. Paul Rudd gives me a de-suited Scott Lang. Thrown in the added benefit of customs these open up... I know the Indy line gets criticised as a "guys in suits" line but these kind of things interest me more than seeing the same Ghostbuster suit sculpt trotted out for everyone. 😛

 I’m just wanting ghost figures and Fright Features Figures. I honestly preferred the redos of the Kenner Real Ghostbusters Figures and the Movie Figures that were geared for kids over the Plasma Series. I really wish they would have done the Venkman ghost, Terror Dogs and Gozer as part of the kids line too. I would not be resistant to a Mission Fleet type line for Ghost Busters if that got us an Ecto-1 and a Firehouse or a Giant Stay Puft and Rooftop Gozer Temple set.

Barring yet another attempt at the first film where someone finally nails the likenesses, which won't be happening as long has Hasbro's got the master license, all I want out of a GB line is an honest go at Real Ghostbusters.  And not just the guys themselves.  Probably take Extreme once that wound down too.

Man almost 3 weeks in and this is still getting triple digit daily gains in backers. That is great news considering so many other projects usually fall below triple digit daily gains pretty quickly.
