Great idea with keeping ecto-1 car in profile. I’ve been wanting to paint the old SWAT van to be a UPS truck on one side and SWAT on the other. I should hsve thought of that myself
If you're going to display the car by its side profile just put the Ecto 1A stickers on one side and the Ecto 1 stickers on the other, then you can turn it back and forth as desired. If I do it at all I'll likely just do GB1 motif and if I feel like lots of lights just put the Ecto 1A roof on top. Accuracy be damned.
This sticker issue creates the opportunity for folks to create and sell their own reusable stickers similar to colorforms or whatever those vinyl stickers from the 80s and 90s that use to stick on glass were.

Man if it wasn't for that early bird figure this would be a fairly boring funding period. Just over a week in and it is still pulling in triple digit daily gains. That is great.
However that stupid early bird is hanging over the project right now and it is still well below the daily number it needs to get to 12,000 backers in the first 14 days. Still time of course, but it is still going to be close.
@canprime It'll be interesting to see what the numbers do on the 1st when everyone gets paid. It's a big drop and I think it's smart of them to make sure they can cross the first of the month for the early bird and the final day so they can maximize backers.
Even though everyone gets billed in Dec, I bet many are still thinking of it as something coming out of their October/November budget.
Yeah it’s still impressive daily numbers at this stage in the campaign but it’s not looking good for Tully. I’ll personally be canceling if he’s not unlocked. If iffy on the campaign anyway but knowing something was removed will have me pull out on principle. These early bird offers are risky liken that. 12k seems like it will happen by the end of the campaign but needing that in two weeks is strange and could backfire like the Engine of Vengeance.
It amazes me how still after all of these years how many people don’t understand the funding and charging processes. Hasbro really needs to do better driving that home each campaign.
I hate decals/stickers, but I'm glad to hear that these are at least adjustable a few times. And I'm sure someone will do repro decals as has been done for many other lines.
We've seen Haslabs move thousands of units on the final day of a deadline. My hopenis that is Louis doesn't get unlocked, they just make him a tierbat 14k or something. There really is no reason to make a full figure an early bird that requires full funding. Early bird items should.be for anyone who backs early and should be a non-essential like a patch or Keychain, etc.
Got out a slimed Peter from Hasbro and his legs bend to a nice 90 degrees. Still not sure how easy it will be to get them in the seat, but compared to Matty Dan Akroyd, that figure would have a hard time in this car. Matty figures can’t sig up to 90, but lean back. (though that appears how Hasbro figs are seated - so maybe your old matty figs wiLl fit too)
Library Ghost is a great choice as that “nice old lady” version has not been done by Matty ( they made the howling monster transformation) as did Dismond Select
I was tempted to pledge on day one but have held off cause I had questions- and still fo that will likely never be addressed.
like - the decals. Would be great to see video of how they go on and off.
Bodies - I guess I will have to get mind out and see how the legs bend. It would be nice to see video of how you get the figures in the seats. Do you need to remove the roof to drop them in?
otherwise my only decision is do I get the deluxe or add the basic as a second. Guess I could pledge now for a deluxe and add a second later

Still chugging along, but these lower triple digits gains are not going to do it for us to get Louis in the first 14 days. Now we need over 800 backers a day to get to 12,000 and unlock Louis in the 14 day timeframe.
Even if we aren't hitting the average needed each day, there will be a flood of orders towards the end as FOMO hits the procrastinators. Not to mention there are people waiting for their check to hit, even though they don't get charged yet.

I'm still hopeful because the GB Haslabs have always come through, but I wouldn't put too much stock into the idea of a large last minute bump for an early bird. Yes at the end of the funding period people jump in, especially if it is already funded. However the early bird goal is also the funding goal so the FOMO may not be as strong since some collectors may think it isn't funded so why bother. As for paycheque time, yeah that might help, but as you said no one is charged until the funding period ends. So are there that many people waiting for payday? If so wouldn't they possibly wait until the end anyway since another pay period comes in after the early bird?
Again I hope I am wrong. However getting possibly 3,000=3,500 (possibly more) bacckers on the last day of the early bird might be a tall ask.

FOMO is for the last few days of funding, not 14 days in, early bird or not.

No telling. Backer behavior on these things can be really weird. Even though these sorts of funding campaigns have been around for a long time now, I still see folks misunderstanding basic aspects of them that are true across the board (like when billing happens, when shipping happens, what a production timeline means and why it isn't the same as a preorder...). Every campaign there's some new folks who have no clue how it works, and even folks who have done it before often hold onto very wrong ideas about how these things operate.
@jakeekiss Yep. I am always a bit surprised, when I shouldn't be, to see some people jumping on and asking about being charged for a Haslab.
Who knows what will happen, but recent history shows that early bird tiers don't usually move the needle too much unless the project is already backed, or a low number is needed to unlock.

@canprime there was a fair size uptick so far today. We will see where it is at in the morning for a final count, but it crossed the 8k mark. We need to start seeing more than 1k movements each day. Seems the closer it gets, the more people, slowing jump on.
