I was tempted to pledge on day one but have held off cause I had questions- and still fo that will likely never be addressed.
like - the decals. Would be great to see video of how they go on and off.
Bodies - I guess I will have to get mind out and see how the legs bend. It would be nice to see video of how you get the figures in the seats. Do you need to remove the roof to drop them in?
otherwise my only decision is do I get the deluxe or add the basic as a second. Guess I could pledge now for a deluxe and add a second later
I did wait to reup for premium as shipping was $27 for one car
I'm totally with you. Tall ask indeed. But I'm hopeful.
Guessing most people here are familiar with Yes Have Some/Toy Anxiety, but in case you're not, they're a big Ghostbusters YouTube/Podcast and they're pretty cozy with Hasbro and get access to more information. They did a big show last night on the Haslab and decal talk starts at about the one hour and six minute mark. Basically, they're not going to be traditional stickers, but they're also not going to allow for back and forth at will conversions at will. They were given an estimate of about five swaps and the assumption seems to be that most people will pick a look and stay with it. Also mention some Mondo talk, for those interested there, and they said 2 weeks until Peter goes up (this was recorded last night) with Egon in Q1 2025. Not sure if that was said at a Mondo panel and I missed it, but nice to have some confirmation there.
@misfit YHS had a booth walkthrough with Mondo where they mention the dates.
We are officially passed the half way mark and things picked up a little bit today. With the 10/27 stream there should be an additional spike, plus the closer we get to 12k the quicker the pace is likely to get. It's all going to come down to the last day if the early bird.

I hope you are right, but I am still skeptical. Hopeful, but skeptical.
I wonder if they were to announce that they are going to start the Plasma Series back up again if that might help garner more interest? Right now this is the only way to get more "new" Plasma Series figures and maybe some people are thinking it isn't worth the cost/hassle of trying to track down older figures so why bother with the Haslab as well. So if people knew they could get more product in the coming year maybe that might push them to back?
Who knows I'm just spitballing here.
Anyway:
Ecto-1:
6,256 / 12,000 (+305) 52.13% of funding goal with 39d 20h left.
It is moving along quite well and not dropping off too quickly, but it needs to do better with the daily gains to get to 12,000 in 14 days.
Yeah with the original movie figures having been off the shelves for years now and not getting any support for the newest movie earlier this year, not having current Plasma figures available to buy is probably hurting things. Putting a set of the 4 busters from the first movie up for preorder would probably do wonders here. Not being able to have a GB1 set is probably holding many back.

I'm coming late into this line as I mentioned above. Most of the Terror Dog wave is actually pretty cheap on Amazon, besides Egon. Not sure what happened there, but I was able to get him for $60 on eBay, whereas the rest were less than $20 on Amazon.
@gpmartin414
Harold Ramis’s (Egon) death a while back has caused some vendors to jack up the price on his figures, trying to capitalize on that unfortunate event.
Prices are heading up likely due to the HasLab, but prior to this the first wave was going for $100 to $125 for a set of 6 on eBay.
I just this week picked up Gozer for $20 and some (probably bootleg) Terror Dog BAF parts that came to $35 a dog. The Tully's Bad Night 2-pack with Tully and a Terror Dog goes for a premium.
If they sell 12K of these I bet we get some more exclusive figures or a GB1 team boxset.
Hasbro posted a video answering some questions. The main thing is that the decals are vinyl and will have anywhere from 5 to 10 reuses, possibly more. There will also be extras of certain decals that may be harder to position or may be swapped more often.
Hopefully this info puts some people at ease. I would hope people weren't expecting to swap the decals every day. Maybe Hasbro should just include 3 - 5 full sets if decals.
If you're going to display the car by its side profile just put the Ecto 1A stickers on one side and the Ecto 1 stickers on the other, then you can turn it back and forth as desired. If I do it at all I'll likely just do GB1 motif and if I feel like lots of lights just put the Ecto 1A roof on top. Accuracy be damned.
This sticker issue creates the opportunity for folks to create and sell their own reusable stickers similar to colorforms or whatever those vinyl stickers from the 80s and 90s that use to stick on glass were.

Still moving along well, but the numbers are going in the wrong direction to unlock Louis by the early bird deadline. Yesterday it was about 660 backers needed daily to unlock Louis, and today it is now about 677 backers needed. Let's hope there is a bump in the last couple days leading up to the early bird deadline.
@mwoo that seems like one of the easiest remedies: just include more stickers. I can't imagine it impacts the bottom line much, and if they don't even hit the Tully goal then they have even more wiggle room in the budget. If they just include double the stickers then that's double the amount of reuse.
@jtmarsh that is also a very good and sensible suggestion. I would probably do the same.
@misfit Considering the latest round of layoffs that just happened, I don't imagine the remaining bean counters/execs would be open to any additional cost for any project right now (even something miniscule as an extra sticker sheet). At least not without a great, concrete, example of how much more money could be made from the added expense.
Honestly while it is nice to have extra decals, I'm pretty sure I'll only have the Ecto-1 in GB1 mode. I might do the Ecto-1A look once in a blue moon, but not very often.
