I think the decals are one and done - unless they are like “colorforms” (vinyl pieces that are removable). I think they need to clarify this.
Thankfully this is wrong. They are swappable back and forth, confirmed in a display video. Over 100 led lights combined. The below video showing all the working led lights on each model is insane! I'm not getting 2 of these, dammit. I'm not!
Does anyone know, or has seen it stated, that if I plug this thing in, can I turn the lights on and off with a wifi switch? Some devices have a hard on/off switch, and this will work fine. Other devices have more of a push button/toggle kind of thing and they don't remember the previous state when they lose power. I'm really hoping I can just drop this in my display and be able to control the lights without having to touch it.
I wonder if anyone is getting the base model and only the base model.
If I end up backing this, I am just doing the base model. I don't need the GB2 figures, nor the GB roof rack just sitting in a box. I would want this as a display piece for my Mezco GB figures, even if they don't fit inside it.
I have the Plasma series figures, the sequel older versions (along with the kids), but I don't need the dark grey suits on top of it.
Hard for me to say any toy is "worth" $400 but with the electronics and the details and the display options, plus 6 or 7 well sculpted figures, I can at least see where the money is going - and this was an easy backing. I hope this succeeds as this is really well done.
Thanks for the video. I’m now leaning to just the basic ecto. As the Hasbro electrical engineer demonstrates it he says “ they should be decently removable” about the decals.
They confirm the heads are new sculpts but I wonder if the bodies are tweaked to sit in the car. I’ll have to dig out my plasma figures and check if they can get in a car

I figure it's $200 for the car, $175 for the figures and $25 for everything else. In reality I don't know that the car should cost $200, the lights and sounds are nice, but McFarlane's doing lights now in his $80-90 builds, I dunno about sounds. I see the decals are removable, hopefully they're fully reapplicable and don't lose their hold over time.
My McFarlane Batmobile stays in box in the closet, so this likely will too until I get a decent display spot/case for some of these things to have a dedicated home.
I'm more an X-Men guy, but this is tempting me more than the cartoon Sentinel oddly enough. The lights, sounds, Louis (tentatively) and Slimer are my main draws. The slime blowers / dark grey Busters don't hurt neither.
Does Hasbro Pulse charge when the pre-order is placed or when the product ships? I want to get the deluxe Ecto and a couple of Sentinels, but I'd prefer not to pay all of that upfront. Thanks again for any help folks can provide!
Ecto-1:
4,736 / 12,000 (+875) 39.47% of funding goal with 43d 18h left.
Almost 40% of the way there in the first two days. A good start, but let's hope it can stay strong for the next two weeks.
For those of you wondering about the decals, I would say be skeptical. I don't imagine, no matter how well made they are, that the decals will last long with more than one application. I think this will be a case of sticking to one look (for me at least).
The Ectos like real nice, but I'm having a hard time justifying one without a set of 1/12 Ghostbusters to go with it. I just don't like the Plasma Series aesthetics, and as long as Hasbro has the license I'm not expecting anyone else to do them justice at that scale (not a fan of the Mezco's either, for the record). And yet I can't quite erase the feeling that I'm gonna wish I'd gotten one anyways when this is over...

The Ecto will charge once the backing period ends in 40 some odd days (Dec 2nd). The Sentinel will charge when it ships (around this time next year).
@cmoney if you think you might regret it if you miss out, I would just place the order now. The worst case scenario is you can cancel it before the campaign ends or resell it later for more money.
As for comparing this to the McFarlane vehicles, it's not the same at all. The sheer number of lights in the ecto 1a is far more than anything McFarlane does. On top of that, they blink and mimic movement. It will also have a USB port for an always on display. Nit to mention this is a real car that requires a license fee, where as McFarlane stuff doesn't.

Yup, all this. The McFarlane one is going to give people a real warped idea of value now, but it's a triumph of very clever selection and a redesign that actually makes it easier to produce at cost. The way they've changed the Beyond Batmobile means most of it can be shot in unpainted plastic. It's got one hinged "door" part, no wheels, no sound, no decals, fewer transparent pieces, fewer body parts, and a single lighting color setup that's probably just "on" and "off".
Did the pulse membership give you free shipping on your ecto?

Getting close to half way there, and in a couple of days no less. However it appears to be moving slower than the previous GB Haslab. It will also eventually drop down to double digit daily gains so it needs to get higher this week (quickly) if Louis is going to get unlocked.
