@misfit Standard Plasma series repaints which is what I was expecting. The price is definitely going to be noticeably more than the EoV. There's no way it couldn't be for this much more stuff. I do think this one's more likely to succeed though since GB fans, some of them anyway, dropped 2k a pop for a 1/6 scale Ecto not that long ago. There's whales out there.

That said, I'm sure the action figure side of collecting will be furious about the price regardless. I assumed we'd get either a GB1 Ecto or a GB 2 Ecoto. Either all repaints or all new figs. To Hasbro's credit, I assumed they'd do either/or and they decided to do BOTH. So if you missed on the Plasma series, this is basically an entire GB 1/12 collection in one shot.

I assume the 4 main guys are included and the library ghost, Tully, and Slimer are unlocks. Maybe Slimer is an early bird thing like Robbie was with the EoV. But dang, this is a lot of toy regardless.

Remember once upon a time when Blitzway was gonna do 1/12 Ghostbusters, but then they never did?

@jakeekiss the success of a 2k of Ecto-1 can be seen as something that works for and against this crowd fund. Do people who already paid 2k for a really nice Ecto-1 have much interest in giving Hasbro 5-600 bucks for a worse one? There's always going to be people who hate the price because their concept of value has stayed rooted in the 90s or early 2000s when figures were 8 bucks and a vehicle no more than 50, Hasbro needs to find that sweet spot where they're winning over more of the "Finally! The 1/12 Ecto-1 I've been waiting for," crowd and not giving rise to the "I've been waiting my whole life for this and they want how much?!" group. It makes me wonder if this is a strategic leak ahead of NYCC and the team wants to see the reaction on socials before finalizing the package. I would guess price is mostly locked-in, but maybe they want a sense for what the base package is? Perhaps a bare bones Ecto-1 is available along with the two-way version and the GB2 figures with the rest behind tiers. The GB figures are probably 100% reuse so there's little risk in just making them a companion piece that's an open preorder as opposed to forcing them into the crowd fund package. We know the Marvel group is very online and reads the praise and criticism and it wouldn't surprise me if the same is true for the GB team at Hasbro.

@misfit Yeah I'll be very interested to see how it goes. On some level I think they may be hoping the "finally!" crowd will be folks who couldn't afford those 1/6 scale Ectos and will go for this as a midpoint between them and even smaller offerings. In that case the figures sort of becomes a bonus.

If all of this is potentially included in a single package it's mind-boggling. I wonder how long they'll run the backing period...

@mr_articulate Pretty sure it's 1/12. Hasbro released a 1/18 Ecto-1 already this year and it's still available on Pulse.

I have a feeling the figures might be part if a wave that will be put up for preorder when the Ecto-1 Haslab goes up. Just seems like too many figure for a Haslab.

The figures have new heads at least. Some appear to be better likenesses, others not really. The molded-to-the-face glasses just don't look good either way.

But Slimer and the library ghost look fantastic. And the car, man. It looks honestly great. But it will depend on the price, and honestly, the size.

@cmoney I kept waiting for those to happen. They never did! But Sh Figuarts could honestly do some fantastic GBs if they wanted.

I think the vehicle, Slimer and Library ghost are part of the Haslab. The rest are figures that will be releases to go with the Haslab. If I'm right, and I'm good with the price, I'm buying the Mezco Ghostbusters to go with this. Considering this is 1:12 scale, of course.

I have heard that there will be a fan created screen accurate Ecto-1A at NYCC when Hasbro debuts this KS, so we'll likely know this weekend.

The versions of the Ecto could be swappable parts, or they could really try and gouge people by making them separate versions and you need to back for both if you wanted the 2 of them.

I tend to agree that the four 'Busters are not included as part of this potential HasLab. It's just Slimer, the library ghost, and Louis. I'd probably put those in that order for the tiers, Slimer first, library ghost, then Tully. I really hope they have parts to convert the hearse into its appearance from both movies. That would be ideal. I don't know if I'd throw down on a GB2 set of figures. That's another $100-120 for just the figures. But I'd back Ecto-1 if it was around $200-250 max. Beyond that feels like too much.

It does look pretty cool. And if it does well, it might open an avenue for an Indiana Jones adventure series haslab.

One can hope, right?

@salemcrow if they make the two cars separate then someone at Hasbro needs to be institutionalized. I'm assuming parts, and it's just a question on if the GB2 parts are part of the base package or a tier or an add-on. And if we're doing predictions, I'm guessing $300.

I feel like, with the amount of electronics being shown, and the amount of different parts on the car, there's just no way it's coming in under $300, even if the roof rack is a separate purchase. I'd be surprised (pleasantly) if it came under $400. That's assuming folks are right and the main 4 fellas are separate release.

I'd love to be wrong, it's just hard to fathom. The one thing we don't know is if it has sound too, but if any project did, it'd be this one. That siren is pretty iconic.
