Just got the shipping notification that my concept Horde Trooper 2-pack has shipped from Target. I love getting new characters in the line and these are fun.
I actually ordered a loose classics Grizzlor without his fur to swap this head and some horde armor onto and slide him into my classics display. Hoping I can find a second set to have one for the origins display too, but...
New Fright Zone

Interesting that they created an interior... using parts from the exterior. The prison cell is reversible, the floor is removable and meant to be used as the interior floor. The back of the tree has a throne for Hordak. There's a small set of pipes or tentacles that I guess are meant to be for captives next to the prison cell. The crows are removable from the tree branches. And the puppet is now a fully articulated figure of a six legged lizard/dragon.

They also debuted Cartoon Collection Uncle Montork, Bow, Shadow Weaver, Grizzlor, and Fang Man.
I have a Fright Zone puppet in very nice condition, but not my old playset.
I have the playset but not the puppet! (cell door is broken at a hinge peg, tree has one branch that snapped off). A kid on my block totally stole the puppet. I even found it in his driveway and he denied it was mine!I have a Fright Zone puppet in very nice condition, but not my old playset.
@normdapito My missing Fright Zone is a head scratcher. I mentioned in the M.A.S.K. thread how my Mom gave those to my cousin, but I don't recall that being the case with a Fright Zone.
So, the speculation on Twitter is that the "club exclusive" figure offered tomorrow may be He-Ro ... or possibly Eldor... there is apparently going to be a figure for sale during tomorrow's event available only to those of us rubes who ponied up the $10 for the special club membership...
Honestly if it does end up being He-Ro, for other fans' sake I hope it ends up being like a variant He-Ro with a blue H on his chest armor instead of red or something. It would be a dick move to keep a figure like that out of the hands of fans who wouldn't pay for club membership. But then I guess the MOTUC He-Ro was a con exclusive... IDK
But with them expected to announce more Pre-ternia era figures I do hope we may get a first ever Sharella figure, that would be awesome
Supposedly the UK Creations site has an April exclusive listed as well, Vultak
MOTU Cartoon Collection and Powers of Grayskull Mattel Creations Exclusive Preorders.
I was considering trying to swap the lower legs from a Cartoon Cringer onto an Origins Battle Cat to gain the ankle articulation, but Origins has a lot of sculpted fur, while Cringer does not, so that spoiled my plan. But now I hope they make a Cartoon Collection Battle Cat. Seems unlikely, considering how the Adam/Cringer set is not moving at all at my Targets.
Mattel customer service is fantastic. My Rio Blast has been lost in transit in Memphis since February 15th. USPS was useless in helping of course. I finally contacted Mattel this morning fully expecting them to give me the runaround telling me to contact USPS.
Within 30 minutes of sending the first email I had a new Rio Blast in route to me.
I really didn't expect that but I'm glad to have another on the way.
Origins He-Ro revealed at livestream.
Not unexpected - still a little underwhelming.
I have never been a fan of Preternia or any of the multiple He-Men type stuff so I'm probably skipping this.
Not doing a lot for me either.
Everytime a non-vintage figure like this comes out and gets a lukewarm reception I worry more and more if we will actually get the vintage line completed.
