I got the Gwildor and Orko set yesterday.  At first, I thought I wasn't going to pick this up.  I didn't feel like I had to have a white robed Orko, and I would prefer a more vintage toy or movie version of Gwildor.  But I ordered the set from BBTS, worried we may never get another Gwildor.

I'm very happy I got this set.  The figures are both fantastic. I opene all my figures, but I have to say the packaging and presentation of this set was excellent.  if you're a MOC/MIB collector, this is a must have.

But if you collect loose like I do, the figures are great. Great paint apps, solid articulation, excellent accessories, and this Revolutions version of Gwildor is so well done, that even if they don't make a vintage toy, New Eternia, or Movie Gwildor, this Revolutions is plenty good enough.

I keep forgetting about this two pack. Is this Gwildor and white Orko two pack an online exclusive?

@leor I think the Gwildor/Orko pack is indeed a Fan Channel like exclusive.  Just on online retailers.  I haven't seen anyone ever say they found it in a brick-and-mortar retail store.

But BBTS, EE, etc has the 2 pack.

Just a quick heads up for my fellow Canadians out there.

Dollarama is getting in cases of the Evil-Lyn, Frosta, Roboto & Stratos wave.  $5Cdn each.  So if you are looking for any of them it might be worth your while to stop in and take a look to see if they have any in stock.

Stopped by an out of the way Target. Pricing for Revelations was weird there. Slushead was on clearance for $23.09. Regular figures were back to $21.99 but NA Skeletor was at $6.59. I don’t think I ever saw him go that low during the last clearance. He only went down to $10.99 or somewhere around there. Picked him up for a fellow collector.

Without spoiling anything since it just came out, did anyone else here watch MOTU Revolution?  And if so, what did you think?

I really enjoyed it.  I thought it was fun, had some really cool imagery and scenes, the voice acting, and music was great, and it's only 5 Episodes.  In 5 episodes you get quite a story all packed in there, but it flows really well.  It didn't feel rushed or anything.

There were definitely some figures I want from this show. We know we are getting Snout Spout, but I want Rio Blast too.  I don't feel that's a spoiler since Rio Blast is in the trailer.  But there were some really cool characters, and alternate/new looks and attires of characters that I'd really like to see get figures.

Especially He-Man in the final battle.

I absolutely adored Revolutions (I also loved Revelations, and still giggle at all the pearls-clutching reactions from insecure macho-bros over Teela’s haircut and the existence of a melanated female character). I have a HUGE list of figures I’d like to see:

-flashback Hordak

-present-day Hordak

-Final Battle Hordak

-Final Battle Skeletor

-Final Battle He-Man

-“Green Goddess” Teela

-“Black Parade” Adam

-Man-of-War

-Mech-at-Arms

-Final form Teela

-Leech

-Mantenna

-Grizzlor

-Horde acolytes(?) [hooded guys]
-Horde Troopers

mmm probably gonna stop there just to avoid getting specific and spoiler-y (definitely some doozies I don’t even want to mention, but definitely want figures of), but so many great characters and designs! It was just a wonderful series and I really hope it gets another season.

I’m 3 episodes in with Revolutions and I’m liking what I see so far. Revelations was just meh for me but this next arc seems so much more better. But more importantly, the toys are probably gonna be really cool.

Finished the last 2 episodes this morning. On a scale of 1-10, Revelations was a 4 or 5 for me , but Revolutions was a solid 8. I’d give it a 9 but I have my own nitpicks about certain choices. Despite that, I would definitely like to see a 3rd or even more seasons with more side character development with HeMan at the forefront as he was in Revolutions.

but more importantly…..MORE TOYS!!! So many characters need to be made from this season and even the last season.  Teela alone warrants sooo many figures!! Even the council of “space people” would be awesome.

@leor  I've got two episodes left to watch but I'm digging the show a lot. Definitely will be posting more about that once I'm done. But yeah - there's already stuff here that I would love to see in Masterverse.

Absolutely loved Revolution.

Now I need Masterverse to give us the final episode versions of He-Man, Teela, and Skeletor plus I’d also like Man-Of-War, Man-At-Arms (with the mech suit), and maybe Lyn’s final look as well.

Really hope they get to make another season!

I haven't watched Revelations yet. Do I have to in order to enjoy Revolutions? I've only heard mixed reviews, and I ain't got time for a show that doesn't come off as a home run. I'm only hearing good things about Revolution.

I thought it was a great, fast-paced series, that worked on a plot point left dangling from Revelations. I liked both this and Revelations, and I can't wait to grab a Keldor from this line.

I wouldn’t say either series is a home run, but as always YMMV. There are some really great things about both and some things that I would have done differently with both. I’m being vague in order to avoid spoilers of course. But the things I wasn’t fond of may very well be your favorite parts. I would say they’re worth watching even if I don’t think they’re a home run. There’s enough cool stuff to warrant a watch in my opinion.

Shining endorsement from @he-man himself! Another show to put on the list. (The list consists of shows I say I will watch but will never get around to watching)
