Dagnabbit Mattel. How are you going to get me to keep ordering stuff from your stupid site. Masterverse Panthor is definitely one of the things that would get me there.
My Zodac and Skeletor were also cancelled, and of course like an asshole I cancelled my original pre orders because I assumed Wal-Mart could ship out my new, in stock order.
But I'll get these somehow. Hopefully they are timed exclusives and end up on BBTS and EE.
Now for Panthor. I definitely want that. I will order 2 probably.

I haven’t gotten a good look at the Panthor head sculpt. If it’s updated, on the old Revelations Battle Cat body, I hope they release a BC with a better head sculpt as well. Or if they’re just doing an entirely new body for both, I’d be in. The Revelations mold is too cartoony in the face but not a bad body.
Panthor is my most-wanted figure in this line, but man if it isn't a tremendous PITA to just order a bloody action figure like this. I need this one figure but I may be done with chasing this stuff after this one, especially if he sells out.

Has anything Masterverse sold out immediately on Mattel Creations in the past year or two?
Of course I could be wrong with Panthor, but between the lack of sellouts on MC for Masterverse and the lackluster response to Battle Cat (which is basically the same mold apparently). I doubt that it will be hard to get Panthor after a couple days.
@canprime If it were any other character I really wouldn't expect a sellout. I think the last time I had real trouble getting a MOTU figure was Rokkon, but one of the original two mounts is stressing me out. Hopefully they anticipate people actually wanting this guy and have enough stock.
Honestly - I'm extremely curious about the performance of Panthor. Battle Cat performed miserably at retail. It had to be clearance priced hard to finally clean it from Target shelves and it lasted there a looong time.
So if they price it higher than BC was priced originally it feels like it might be a tough sell. But, if they play games with the initial release and make if "sell out" quickly - make people panic, create a bit of a frenzy and then release more stock a little later, maybe they sell more? They can play those games when they control the single source of distribution via Matty Collector in a way that's impossible for a retail release. Or maybe the Matty Collector audience is already sufficiently small they don't need to play those games. I don't know. I do know that I want Panthor for sure.
Aww man... Wal Mart finally got around to cancelling my Zodac order. I was hoping since I hadn't got that cancellation e-mail yet I was going to somehow get lucky and have my order squeak through. On some level I knew better, but still...
Strange thing with Classic Zodac. I got the cancellation text and email for the in stock order I placed several days ago today. But the site said Zodac was still in stock. So I made a new order. Right now the site says that new order is in preparing to ship stage. Not sure if that will go through this time or get cancelled soon.
Bah... by the time I got the e-mail it says it is out of stock on the website. It's very annoying. I definitely want multiples of that figure, so hopefully it comes back in stock in the near future.
I am super into it... and the $40 price tag is not excessive. I am tempted to buy more than one... but I think I'll just order one and then wait to see if it sells out or not. If it hangs around I may pick up a second one down the line
