I just recently finished completing the BA Skeletor wave as well. This Merman is so nice. I keep reminding myself he doesn’t have that googly eyes feature that some toys have when the eyes are encased in clear plastic like this figure has.  His sword looks awesome but that bendy plastic it’s made of kinda ruins it. Snake Teela is pretty neat but feels like she could use more snake accessories or something. Man Of War is nice too but the arm pauldron/armor on mine wasn’t seated on the arm correctly and just wobbles about. The plastic strap is pretty hard so I may have to heat it up to seat it on the right spot on the arm. BA Skeletor is the clear winner for me because he just looks badass. However he does have two things on him that I have to gripe about. One, I wish he had a spot on his armor to hang his weapons. Either on the back or hip. Two, I think he would have benefited from having gauntlets on his arms or something to enhance his look even further. Small gripes because he’s still a great figure.

Agreed on all crits.

For that pauldron on Duncan, push it up towards the top of the bicep. You can see the sculpt should fit around the angles of the triceps.

I think I liked Merman the most in the newest Wave.  I loved how they handled his eyes.  There are those clear plastic bubble lenses over the eyes.  He really just looks and feels like a perfect figure.

I pre order all the new Masterverse stuff.  They went up the other day while the forums were down.  All 3 look incredible, but I am most excited about the Fisto figure.  The New Eternia figures might be my absolute favorite thing to collect currently in toys period.

King Randor is available to pre-order on Amazon.  He's listed as "temporarily out of stock" but you can still order, so who knows:

Surprising they didn't take the armor off the Horde Trooper for even a single picture.  I assume it's possible so he can look like the front of the box, but I guess Mattel wants us to buy it and find out for ourselves.

Had the half hour window between meetings this morning and got my order in.   Two giant Horde Troopers heading my way.    Woo hoo.

I stuck with just one. Will they be making regular sized Horde Troopers? If so I'd probably get two of those. I would love to get some other troop builders like Palace Guards, Skeleton Warriors, the upcoming Skelcon. But I'm limiting to just two of each. Can't go crazy with so many, less due to budget, more due to space restrictions.

Yeah... army building has become a luxury I can't indulge in as I would have in the past, so I tend to go with two army builders each now.   I was bummed previously when I could only get one Skelcon from Mattel since they released him with the Roton vehicle.    I will buy two of these upcoming ones, but not more.   I would only buy two of the other generics as well - Skeleton Warriors, Palace Guards,  -  but generic Snake Men... well I make no promises.   It's not that would troop build a bunch to stand around looking the same but I would buy a bunch to paint up and look like different snake breeds.

I'd probably go crazy with some snake troop army builders, honestly.

Snake Men has always been my least favorite faction because I have no connection to them from childhood. I have only King Hiss from Classics, but all of the ones that were in the original line are in my Origins collection. I don't know that I'd pass on Snake Men once they make it to Masterverse, but I would stop at army builders for sure.

Bought 3. Want 6. I wonder how closely Mattel monitors double orders if I were to make a second account with a different payment method, name, and shipping address.

I’m actually curious how Masterverse would handle the Rock Men. Like will they be able to curl up and transform into boulders?

I picked up a couple. I need to get caught up with Masterverse. Or at least the New Eternia stuff. These will look awesome flanking Hordak.

Completely forgot the trooper went on sale today. I was just hoping for one, so I'm pleasantly surprised he still available at 10 pm EST. I've stopped army building for the most part, but I do like this guy as a bodyguard for Hordak (whom I do not put out on display often enough - really is a nice figure.)

OOFA!!

I picked up 2 today, and after everything was said and done it came out to just over $123Cdn!!!!

So basically almost $62Cdn each Trooper, which with exchange is about $45US each.

Definitely won't be doing that kind of purchase for Masterverse too many more times.  Although Panthor is coming sometime soon.
