Couple things I wonder about the Vintage Collection: can we expect more Origins sublines to migrate over to Masterverse?  Like the Filmation versions?  And if the Vintage Collection is going to exist, are they going to start taking bigger swings on the New Eternia offerings, since the more classic versions of characters might already have a separate place in the overall Masterverse line?

Fisto is a very rare misstep for this New Eternia subset. The all-metal arm is wrong, and the fist itself is less a fist and more of "holding change for the soda machine" hand.

Oh I really hope not.    Filmation already took over Origins and pushed me out of that format.   Please don't let it creep into Masterverse now, too.    It is by far my least favorite iteration of the MOTU looks.    I like where Masterverse is.   I'm excited for these most recent releases and these new previews.   I really hope they can integrate some of the new snake men characters and similar concepts into the larger scale.    A swerve into Filmation designs would put a serious damper on my enthusiasm for Masterverse.

It would just be another of their many sublines, but yeah, it probably wouldn't be one I'd be into.  Still, if it was enough to keep the whole line going rather than trickling away to nothing (a worry I have because of how poorly stocked it is around here), I could roll with it.  I'm still hoping for a few figures from Revolution to get made, but it seems less and less likely now, unless Netflix suddenly decides to do another season/series out of the blue.  I know some Mattel guys at SDCC said something along the lines of them "not being done" with MotU in animation yet.

Yeah I ordered a second Revelations Fisto as soon as I saw the New Eternia version, to swap over the head/armor. I guess I can still use the more armored head and just have a really armored Fisto as well as a more “classic”, so the figure isn’t wasted, but I definitely want to do something just a bit more traditional.

Target has lots of older Masterverse on clearance by me, including Fisto. I don’t think I want another on that old body, but agree that he shouldn’t have a full armor on his arm.

I really love how Evil Lyn came out though. And can’t get over that classic Skeletor. Really hits the mark for me.

That Evil-Lyn is perfect. I like the vintage style Skeletor a lot, too.

Not wild about the cybernetic arm on Fisto. I mean, it's in his name, he's not Armo! Actualy just not crazy about the overall look and usually New Eternia is my favorite part of this line so I'm surprised. I do wish the second head they were including had the gray in his beard too, I dig that.

Should have the latest wave in-hand from BBTS tomorrow.

Fisto is disappointing.  I've seen some pictures where his metal arm is clearly rubbery swirled plastic and not this nicely-painted gunmetal.  Not to mention, they're not going to top the first release's metal fist with a plastic fist.  I love that stupid metal hand.

Quick note about that Vintage Skeletor, he appears to be on the retro-inspired He-Man big boy body.  So while I'm happy with the updated versions they've sold us, I'll likely nab him just so he can face off with He-Man on equal terms.

I picked up a couple Masterverse figures on clearance yesterday including Battle Armor He-Man (the one with a beard).  I'm disappointed to see they added notches on the arms to fit the armor like bracelets and arm gauntlets.  Swapping parts is one of my favorite features of this line.  Picked up He-Ro as well and he's great.  Love how his staff works and looks and the construction, he feels very well-made overall.

Evil-Lyn's legs are absolutely cut but her arms are *missing* cuts, notably shoulder swivel and double-elbow.

All 4 of those figures look great!  Evil Lyn, FF He-Man, and vintage Skeletor all look perfect.  Fisto looks great, but that metal arm leading to his metal fist is different.  But honestly, I like it and think the figure looks really cool.

It's nice to see another sub line in Masterverse in the "Vintage" figure collection.  Making the characters look more like the 80's toys but in Masterverse form sounds like a great idea.  Between Vintage and New Eternia, Masterverse may end up being the collection to have the coolest MOTU figures ever.

As of now, that honor still goes to Classics for me.  But things are getting pretty d*** spectacular on the Masterverse front.

Since I mainly came back to MotU with the various Netflix series and the DC Comics, I don't have as much attachment to the original looks as some.  Which is to say, I think Fisto looks pretty cool!

Saw this post on Reddit, not sure the original source, but some official pics of Evil-Lyn and Fisto that I haven't seen before:

What pictures?  Am I the only one that can’t see anything, or am I missing something?

Nevermind. I can see it in the quoted post, but I can’t see it in the original.

Looks like Masterverse is getting itself a Vintage Collection sub-line now too?

Oh dear, this could get expensive.

I wonder what other accessories Evil Lyn could come with. She looks amazing, but sparse. They typically give the New Eternia designs something to set them apart, but also make it removable to revert to a more classic look.

It looks like Lyn just has the multiple sets of hands, the (removable?) cape and the adjustable-length wand. The “make it vintage” hack here seems to be removing the long staff of the wand and then taking off the cape.
