Get some shit in your hand. Get it!
Can't believe he's still up. Maybe he'll "pegwarm" and go on sale like Vykron. I'd get him then, and feel better about buying two Vykron at full price!
Snout Spout already shipped! I thought this was a pre-order? Oh, well.
International and Canadian shipping is back according to the posts I'm seeing on wrestlefigs.
Where did this Masterverse line originate from? Is it related to the cartoon from the early 00's? Or is it just it's own thing?
Â
There is the vintage line, and then MOTU Classics that was like an update for the vintage line for adult collectors, then MOTU Origins which is very similar to the vintage line but with much better articulation. Then there is the Mondo line that seems to be their own take on the figures but with a lot of inspiration from these three aforementioned lines.
Â
Then there is all this Masterverse stuff, New Eternia etc. but I am not familiar with how this fits in with everything, so if anyone can help fill in some blanks for me that would be much appreciated!

Still a no-go for me :/ Anybody outside the US have luck?

I just checked and something is up, maybe just for Canada but I don't know.
I went to the MC site and usually when I do it pops up with a notification that I am being redirected to the Canadian page (so everything is in CDN dollars, etc). This time it didn't pop up. So I logged in to see if it was just a glitch. However after logging in everything stayed in US dollars.
Next I decided to see if I could order Snout Spout. I was able to add to cart and then proceed to the next step. However at the next step I got a warning about not being able to use Shop Pay for Canada and to please check out as a guest to ship to this country.
Don't know what the hell is going on, but at first glance it seems like Mattel has decided they don't want to deal with the paperwork around shipping to Canada. So maybe we as Canucks can now order product but much like the small/independent online retailers we'll have to pay customs/duties/taxes when the product shows up at the door rather than at checkout. Hopefully I'm wrong but right now I don't feel like trying to find out.
Â
Update:
Â
Ok I decided to give it a try as a "guest" and see what happened.
Well it didn't work.
It let me go one extra step as a "guest" before flagging me and saying they don't ship to my country.
So still a no go to Canada.
The weird thing is that once I went that extra step they did switch the price to Canadian dollars. So they do have some of the old system still in place.
Either way it doesn't matter since I can't order in any fashion right now.
I do agree with others who have said what makes it worse is the back and forth so far with the last two releases (some countries can order one but not the other) and the complete lack of communication on the part of Mattel.
Sorry for false alarm. Mattel's WWE spokesman (the lead designer doesn't want to deal with figure community 🤣 ) posted yesterday about the "fix".
MC has a ring and figures dropping in four hours. It's possible none of wfigs Canadian members actually tried to place an order.
Masterverse is an overarching figure line in the 7"scale for Masters of the Universe with various "sub-lines" contained within
Â
There are Masterverse figures labeled as Revelations or Revolutions which are inspired by the recent Neflix Cartoon.  There are figures labeled as New Eternia which are essentially new interpretations of the classic characters inspired but by but not beholden to any previous media, there is the Sun Man sub line (only two figures thus far), there is the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe movie sub-line, there is the New Adventures of He-Man sub line, there is the Princess of Power sub line...  essentially they are taking design inspiration from any previous iteration of He-Man and lumping it into a single inclusive line and using the sub-line labeling to differentiate.
So I popped into this thread to talk about the new Triclops, realized I completely forgot about Snout Spout, figured I missed out... and was shocked he was still available. Also agree that $42 after shipping is a LOT for one of these figures, but I took the bait. He's such a goofy fun character, they got me. (I'm definitely okay with slowing down on Masterverse buys but he's one of those oddballs I'll overpay for.)Â
Triclops - was annoyed at myself for buying a second one (I got the deluxe before) but he's... just a really fun figure? I wish his eye ring spun like the old school toy did but it's kind of eerie body horror to have him able to remove his entire set of eyes. Just a cool figure overall.Â
Mechanek - I also wish he had a more permanent way of having his neck extend that didn't require adding or removing the extensions, but honestly... it's a neat mechanic how they implemented this. I don't dislike it at all. (love the un-subtle easter egg of the image on his shield too.)Â
Armored He-Man is exactly what I expected, but he DOES have smoother joints than my "standard" He-Man and more realistic skin tone, so he's going to take over that spot in the collection. My original wave 1 He-Man has been there all along but he's got a bit of a stuck hip, so no regrets getting this one too.Â
I have no memory of if I ever ordered King Keldor. No idea.Â
So I just opened the New Eternia Trap-Jaw - and this is an amazing rendition of the character, and just amazing looking figure. First and only Masterverse I've bought, as I didn't need another line to dive into....
So, what are the absolute top, must-haves? I'm thinking 40th He-man and the New Eternia Skeletor, and maybe Tri-klops because I've always loved his portrayal in the 200X show and the figure the 4HM did. But then? Buzz-off? Two-Bad?
@karl_space That's a great question. I just looked over the list of released figures right now and it's funny, I didn't realize it until right now but the New Eternia figures are across the board my favorite. I just tried to make a top five list but I was like nah, the New Eternia versions are just my favorites of every single character. If I had to do a top five, New Eternia Battle Armor He-Man, Man-at-Arms, Buzz-Off, Trap Jaw, Stratos, and maybe Clawful? I dunno, they're all solid. Nothing against the Revelations figures, they're really well done, but the New Eternia stuff just pops for me.Â
I will say I hope they do more Princess of Power figures. The few they have done are really lovely. I'd love to see them continue that part of this line.
@docsilence Ha, I haven't even considered any of the Revelations or Revolutions stuff. I really liked both shows, but the designs are all a little basic compared to the New Eternia stuff.
That's a pretty good top 5, though surprising the see the BA He-man on there. I'll have to check out some reviews. The new Man at Arms is pretty tempting though, and I need someone to flank He-man as it can't all just be bad guys..
