And also, yeah, the idea that having a short hair cut somehow makes you a lesbian. 🤣 Is Dennis Reynolds posting on this thread?
Got the latest Teela (I feel like her name is a spoiler), Skeletek, and New Eternia Trap Jaw from BBTS. These are all very cool. Trap Jaw in particular is awesome. I liked the previous version, but this is a big upgrade. He even has drop down hips!
Question for anybody else who has Skeletek—are his knees supposed to bend? They look like articulated joints, but they are super stiff. Stress marks are forming above the knee when I try to force the knee joint.Â
I'll NEVER understand how, in Geek Culture, there is so much misogyny, homophobia, and racism. I mean, those views are directly antithetical to what most of these stories are about! I'm especially baffled when these manbabies complain about something like Star Trek going "woke". Ummmm...did you ever watch anything Trek before? If you did, then you definitely missed the point. Hell, Spock championed the Vulcan philosophy of Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations back in the original series! Same goes for He-Man...did NONE of these people watch the lessons at the end of the episode? Sheesh!
X-Men is literally about Civil Rights.
Not to mention, pretty much every "geek" experiences some pretty heinous discrimination & ostracizing & unfair judgments based on harmful negative stereotypes (thanks for reinforcing those, Big Bang Theory), so you think there'd be more empathy, but that is sadly a trait lacking in most humanity, geek or otherwise.

Sadly, some in this area of our culture seem to feel "it's right" to treat others as they once were, in a "fair is fair" mentality.

I'm on board for paying the bullies back, but I've never understood nor condoned taking it out on the people who didn't bully you, let alone may have been kind to you (e.g. Columbine, et al).
Humanity is garbage, and my autistic brain was not built to deal with this craphole species. 😓Â
So, uh, back to MASTERVERSE, I'm curious, which figure so far is your favorite? I'm really keen on King Grayskull, can't believe how cheap and available he is, but I think the New Adventures Skeletor is my favorite overall. He's just incredibly well-made (aside from his cape) and fun.
I'm still holding out hope they release 40th Skeletor by himself. A fool's hope, it seems.
The New Eternia Trapjaw is just fantastic in every way, but I think Mekaneck may top him. I love the way they did the neck on him and can't wait to own that figure.
I think a lot of fan over-reaction also can be from just an inability to accept change. Fans spend so much of their lives with brands, they have a hard time accepting any changes which don't mesh with their view of a brand which has been baked into their head/heart for years/decades.  Hence why "classic" designs are so entrenched with various brands.  Heaven forbid a character changes their clothes or haircut. Things must remain exactly how they're remembered or someone has to admit the world around them has changed, including and especially their hobbies.
Got to finish watching Revolution. That was a ton of fun and left me wanting a bunch of figures.Â
Also, anyone else able to bend Skeletek’s knees?Â
Mekaneck, Tri-Klops, and Battle Armor He-Man incoming at BBTS!
I got an e-mail for those as well NORM. I'm most excited about Mekaneck. I actually ordered 2 of the He-Man's, so I could display them with each armor.
I had hoped these would come in at BBTS soon when I saw EE had them in stock. EE also got the new wave of Cartoon origins with Teela and Trap Jaw. Hopefully BBTS gets those in soon too.
Just got the Battle Armour Revolution figure, and he is surprisingly impressive. Helps that the head is much better proportioned, but overall paint is much improved. Also had this week Keldor, Tri-Klops (both nice for what they are) and Mekanek- that neck is just so much fun. I just missed out on Classics (I had He-Man and Skeletor when Matty Collector had them listed, but the price of the figures was hitting that point where I was going to get hit with import duty to the UK so I could never get fully on board), and I'm just enjoying what Mattel is doing overall. Puts ML to shame in comparison- if only they could sort the distribution out (and just make sure that international collectors could get hold of those annoying Target exclusives...) it would be perfect.Â
Is there anything else that was announced for Masterverse that hasn't gone up for preorder yet besides Snout Spout?
What about rumored releases? I seem to remember rumors of Bow and Glimmer.
I'm getting worried that Masterverse may be on its way out.
I think Snout Spout is the only one confirmed, but very reliable sources have said that Bow, Glimmer, Peekablue, Despara, Deluxe Horde Trooper, and Hordak from the current Revolutions cartoon would all be coming.
