- I like Robo for constantly reminding me this is supposed to be fun. DHunter for the sheer number of scale comparisons his reviews get. Also subbed to SuperDave's Reviews_Action Figures, Tman978, PrimevsPrime, Kentpool collects, Greg Cook, Mad Hatter, The Man Child, The Review Spot, When Toy reviewers get political or go after other reviewers I'm out. Toys are my escape from that stuff.
Trying not to get negative here per the OP's wishes, but I echo this. The internet is a great place to find your people, but it's also a great place to learn that some people who share your hobby are completely insufferable. I retreat to my quiet, level-headed, old-soul-coded communities of choice.
I find a lot of toy influencers unbearable, but I don't totally blame them. As a big Liverpool FC fan, I have found a contingent of reasonable folks online. I've also found some intolerable loudmouths. You have to take the good with the bad.
I chalk that up to YouTube and podcasts being a very crowded place. If you don't have a strong personality or come across as wishy-washy, forgettable, etc then you just get lost in the crowd. It makes it a real boom or bust place to go for entertainment, which is what I primarily watch these types of videos for. Rarely am I actually trying to decide if I want to purchase a product or not. And if I am, it's almost exclusively a Super7 product to see if it turned out like it was supposed to. The sports fanbase comparison strikes me as apt. I've gone through all of the phases of fandom with sports where I was the insufferable, live or die on every play type of person to someone far more chill. And I can't be around the insufferable types anymore because it will drive me nuts.
I listen to a ton of podcasts, but never found one related to action figures that I liked. As for YT, I'll occasionally check out D Amazing, Rektangular, xcorpeo and Viper Island. I don't really watch reviews anymore unless it's a new brand or line. Otherwise I feel I generally know what to expect.
I'll definitely give some of the podcasts and YT channels mentioned in this thread a shot though.
Who has time to spend with a bunch of podcasts or YouTube videos?
There is nothing I watch religiously - at all. I do watch more stuff by Robo and VeeBee simply because it's linked here and I'm already here and I follow them on Twitter. Other than that I occasionally watch and enjoy videos by a couple of british reviewers mostly because I enjoy listening to the accents.
Like others have said there isn't a ton that I can learn from these podcasts that I can't learn here and there aren't a ton of opinions on toys that I respect more than those of the people I know on this forum.
I do like following Preternia.Com on Twitter ( I refuse to call it by it's new letter) because he's always right on time with product drops and he doesn't include too much toy opinion into his posts - other than enthusiasm about certain releases. There are a few other toy personalities I follow there as well.
But really you guys are all I need
When you get used to Glenn Webb, everything else is just folly.
However, Shartimus can choke.
Im surprised you kids know about Glen webb
I miss the hell out of Glenn Webb. He was funny, articulate, and objective. One of the few reviewers who was able to balance criticism and entertainment.

Just because people don't advertise they're fwooshers for 20 years+ as an ill-concieved badge of honor, as if it gives them a leg up, doesn't mean it isn't so!
Mad Hatter has been my go-to lately, but he's kinda limited to specific lines, of course.
I don't follow any social media personalities very regularly, but I will say that I seem to end up watching reviews from these guys more often than not:
Robo
J Hernandez
D Amazing
Only One Kenobi (for the Star Wars 3 3/4" stuff)
I do watch Pixel Dan but I’m more interested in his toy hunting videos and other peoples, than reviews to be honest, I don’t really have shops round here like the ones Dan visits in his videos so I like seeing stuff like that.
J Hernandez deserves tons of praise or sure, but he's also not someone I watch or listen to. I used to, but mostly now I just follow him on Instagram for the occasional cool shot. I just don't have 20-40 minutes to sit down watching a review when mostly what I want to see is the 45 seconds of cool poses he puts the figure in. Nothing against J at all -- it's just that he's fantastic at making toys look amazing and that's mostly what I want to see from him.
It's not like I expect him to post up a video talking about how crappy a figure is, or how unfun it is to pose. That's not what his stuff is all about. I enjoy J's stuff in the way I enjoy Matt K's stuff. I don't really need words. Show me all your cool photos.
I sure miss Glenn Webb. I wish there were more toy YouTubers like him. Rest in peace, man.
Yeah, that one hit me hard. He's sorely missed.
Ones I usually check out would be;
-Fwoosh
-Secret Galaxy
-J Hernandez
-Toy Shiz
-Carbon Scoring (For the variety & history of some story-lines with the figures)
-Displaying Model Behaviour
-Nerdzoic
-Pegwarmers (On occasion, especially when discussing with others in the studio)
