First I'm hearing of these.  On the expensive side for sure, but the brand/line is called Wild War and so far consists of a 1/12 rhino and 1/12 armored rhino?

Not really any more info, and probably the same pics: https://toynewsi.com/1-51425

Wow... that Rhino is awesome.   I am SO tempted to grab a good 1/12th scale rhinceros - no idea what I'd do with him, but it looks really well done.

Robo brought this to my attention during the last weekly:

My guess is the rooted hair will look like shit on the final product, but you never know. I don't have an LOTR collection, but I think I'm going to go in on this. Gandalf is my favorite LOTR character and this helps scratch my fantasy toy itch, as well.

I wish he came with a smiling head, though. He and Frodo screwing around at the beginning of Fellowship is one of my favorite parts of the entire trilogy.

Phew!. I wasn't aware of this announcement until now. I hope *not* Gandalf looks at least half as good as he does in those photos. It's hard for me to believe what these third party manufacturers promise in these promotional photos and the fact that the manufacturer is new doesn't help either.

Since there's nothing like this in the 1/12 scale under license at the moment I hope this Hell Cat Studio doesn't stop there, man, I'd love to see characters like Aragorn or Eomer in this style.

Re: the War Rhino.  I see a lot of articulation cuts but I don't see any posing of them.  Are there any pics showing how well it moves?

TSI showed a D&D Mimic in the D&D thread:

Yet another piece of art for a Maestro Union figure that may or may not exist some day:

I can't figure out what is going on with the promotional images of Fury Toys Sun Wukong Monkey King. Listing has 3 heads but promo images appear to show at least one more and maybe two, both of which are comical and have a lot of character. One of these is cross eyed and maybe it's just that the eyes can be reoriented. But the other has a wry smile that is clearly a different sculpt than the 3 heads shown in the accessory layout shot. Anyone know?

Aw man, that Bear looks awesome but he is gonna be huge. dont have the room for him. i wish someone would make a smaller adult bear. something like 8 inch. Funny thing is, last nite i was searching for a articulated bear actually, i found one but he is what we call in the collecting world "posed articulation" oh well, something is something. i do have a 'cub' bear that ive been using for awhile.

First off, there are two versions of the figure.

Standard: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/267933?o=4

Battle-damaged: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/267935?o=4

They do not have the same heads between them.

As well, there is a separate accessory pack with more heads: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/267937?o=4

5K Toys also offers these, but it's all on one product page and you have to select which one to specifically add to your cart: https://5ktoys.com/collections/pre-order/products/preorder-fury-toys-1-12-demon-force-journey-to-the-west-the-monkey-king-sun-wukong-action-figure

@cmoney God damn, that's a trip down memory lane, I used to love riding around on that bad boy. That figure looks great but it's gotta be massive, don't have the room for it alas.

Since I was a teen I wondered why no one did a line of realistic, articulated animal figures. They're of broad appeal, require no licensing, and go with everything people already collect (dogs, dinosaurs,  horses for knights, wolves and bears as stand ins for Timber, Beorn, etc)

That bear is awesome and I'm so pleased that so many articulated animals, dinosaurs, and dragons are out there now.

@bat I'm loving all these articulated animals we've been getting lately.  I imagine the simple reason articulated animals haven't really happened before (and on their own) is due to cost.   Sure some people would like them to use with other lines (ie 1/12) but probably not enough to warrant the cost of developing them as a standalone line.  While there is some repaint potential, every animal is its own unique thing without too much reuse potential.   If we're talking about 1/12, a lot of small animals like cats and dogs, would have to be limited in articulation.  And do general animal toy purchasers want animals in 1/12 scale for what would likely be a $20+ pricepoint when they can get a PVC toy (like Schleich) for half the cost or less?
