I'm not sure how you can say the reaction is 'overblown' when you admit to not bothering to read what the people reacting were actually saying.
Sometimes it's not about you.
You're little grudge or whatever is weird, kiddo. I never once said any of it was about me. In fact, I repeatedly referred to the 'people' making comments. Not 'what I said.' So I don't know if you can't read, or if you're just that invested in trying to 'got'cha' at me. But it all just makes you look ridiculous.
Rough start for Hank on Pulse
Rough start for Hank on Pulse
I wonder what percentage of people buy from Super 7 vs other sites? I would never in a million years buy directly from Super 7 these days, despite that being my go to method at one point. I liked the idea of paying for it and not having to worry about it hitting my bank account who knows when, but Super 7 lost my trust a while back though and they were also always getting their shipments out last.
I'll pre-order mine from BBTS over Pulse because the shipping works out better for me, but if other stores are doing as badly as Pulse is, that doesn't bode well for this line making it. I'm curious how many Shadow Demons have sold? That might be a good indicator of how many people are ditching their Hasbro figures for Super 7. If more demons are sold, that might be people who are sticking with their Hasbro kids and just adding to the display.
Interestingly pulled up Bulk and Skull from their power ranges line and 200 and 182. Weird that those aren't equal.

I'll be honest, I didn't even know you could buy these on Pulse. Is there a similar snapshot of the S7 Joes for contrast?
@justice but like only buying twice as much doesn't mean much supplementation either when Hank sold 36
Hnh. It's possible Pulse just skews toward pre-existing Hasbro shoppers who'd already bought these characters. Like y'all said, just filling out their existing displays.
I'm also really rooting for this line, so my optimism could be coloring my interpretation.
Yeah... I don't think Pulse is where most of Super7's target audience shops, so it's not entirely surprising sales figures on that site are low. I'm super torn on whether to order these or not. I don't love the cartoony sculpts (I know, I know) but still might consider getting them if I can do some stylistic swaps of the heads or something... mostly because I want to support getting other D&D Ultimates figures.
They are sitting in my shopping cart on BBTS because I can't decide if I want to spend that kind of money on figures I don't actually love and would actively want to change...
Sigh.
I would guess the only people who would order these from Pulse are people with a premium account who can get free shipping, which might not be a crowd that cares all that much about D&D. Still, never a great sign to see low sales, but also probably not worth reading into. We'll know eventually how well these sold.
Super excited, Super7 showed off an Ultimates Tiamat. She will scale descent imo buuut has limited articulation. They said no ball joints, I assume Swivel neck. From the cartoon.
Also Vecna. That is like they are aiming the line right at me. Super hype for that. From the adventure, not Stranger Things. Also looks like modern Vecna.
Some cloths came out, one features Elminster, one features Warduke (not cartoon) one features a number of cartoon related bad guys. Just me getting my hopes up but what if Vecna came in a wave with Elminster, Warduke, and Strahd? That would be my dream. Next wave can have Drizzt Soth, Tasha and Minsc / Boo? Or just go full BG3.
Either way, I am ready to speculate again. Vecna opened a whole new door for me. I really, really hope S7 gives us the biggest variety of characters from all dnd mediums. I'mso beyond happy and will keep putting my money where my mouth is.
This may be my only chance at a big ol' Tiamat with any kind of articulation. Not sure if I want to commit the space to it, but the price tag may help me decide.

I almost missed it but the promo pic shows him coming with a separate, loose eyeball.
