@zombief-body I heard in the forums on megomuseum.com that surprisingly of all things Clearasil Acne Cream will draw dye out of stained figures. Now I haven’t tested it, but several members there swear by it.

My Target order of TOS Communicator and Enterprise-D arrived this morning. I was really surprised by how light the box was! I want to start by saying this isn’t Master Replica Props or Diamond Select Ships BUT they are great toys! I have no problem gifting them to young children who let’s be honest, We need young people developing an interest in Star Trek if we want it around for another half century. I really don’t get the need for being so critical of the line that a company literally doesn’t want to touch the license because it would be prosperity suicide. My grievances with Playmates isn’t with their quality. It’s with their unwillingness to have a dialogue with the fandom and also with their delay of new action figures. We all know that there are other options besides Walmart that Playmates could take to make this line successful.

If they could just cover all those screw holes.  I don't think gluing plugs in there would reduce the durability any.  Probably a definite chocking risk though but many toys are made today that don't have a dozen screws holding it together like it was made in 1985.  Have the saucer screwed together but have the section inside of the upper saucer or lower saucer at the phaser strip snap onto the hull to act as a cover for example.  It seems like it is very durable but adults will want this too!  Does it come with a stand?

The lack of any accurate detail on the top of the neck makes me never want to take it apart but I guess it is a nice play feature.  My 10lbs die cast Galoob Enterprise-D had the saucer glued to the stardrive hull by my 10-year old self because it kept falling apart in the 80s.  Same with the model kit I built a few years later.  Never a feature I cared that much for!

I wonder if BBTS is not going to carry Keenser. Been a while since he went up on Hiya's site, but not BBTS. They usually went up couple of days later.

@zombief-body This Enterprise did have a stand. One thing I am really wishing this one and the TOS ship had is the at warp whoosh. The omission of that sound is just ridiculous. I’m kinda tempted to grab a paint pen and darken in some of those windows on the star drive section. I took a picture of all the new Playmates stuff I have in my collection and it looks really nice. I sure hope it continues.

I'm thinking it's the modern 'softer' plastics that's doing the reacting than anything in the fabrics.  It may be worthwhile to start slapping some DullCote sealant to y'all's figures underneath the fabric, if possible.

Finally got him. I would get them straight from Hiya but I believe they've got a pay up front situation going on over there.

Super 7 showed off packaged samples of the TNG Ultimates! on Fwooshcast. The stream was pretty low res, so you can't see much detail.

I'm not sure I trust Super7 to do humans like TNG. Having seen some of their likenesses like Andre and others...

I will admit, Prodigy has a tenacious little crew!  I thought of you when I read this today.

@zombief-body I hope that like Prodigy the Playmates Toys line is as Khan says in TWOK “ Not as badly wounded as we were led to believe!” I ordered the Enterprise D and Communicator and I would definitely love the opportunity to get more from Playmates. If Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is any indication, Animated style “Lower Decks” figures are going to be fantastic. “ Strange New Worlds” has a lot of cool stuff they can draw from “Picard” has a lot they could do too. My biggest want is going to be figures to “Enterprise” especially Phlox. I just really enjoyed that character. I’m looking forward to Hiya and Super7 lines as well, but Playmates just makes some fun stuff!

I saw those two guys on Youtube talking about the line and I agree.  New show stuff and filling in the gaps in my Playmates collection.  I don't mind the newer articulation so much though, they can keep that.  I definitely want figures of the season 3 Picard crew.  All of them, not just the TNG alum.
