@nottelling56789 It’s a labor of love! 😂 I’m just super thrilled to have someone like Brian Volk-Weis working on these. He’s definitely a fan like all of us. I can’t tell you how relieved I am that he came around to doing Waves of the core characters in their most common duty uniforms because as nice as the Art Asylum/DST figures are, those figures are mostly based on manufacturing techniques from 24 years ago. They won’t stand up to the high standards set by Nacelle’s other action figures. I can’t wait to finally get these in hand as well as getting to see and hear others’ reviews. After all the times we’ve had the rug pulled out from under our hopes and dreams for a quality Star Trek line in recent years, I think we might have finally found our champion to finally defeat all the doubts and disappointment. I think BVW is going to earn that coveted Scotty reputation of being a Miracle Worker!
Amen to that. I feel the same way. Can’t wait to get these damn figures!
Man….I haven’t even considered this..fingers crossed this doesn’t affect Nacelle or Master Replicas…but I’d put both of them in the same playing field with this below hoodie/jacket company. The Skydance merger has made the license more expensive?
“We have been a longtime partner with Paramount and have really enjoyed working together for almost 6 years. Unfortunately, as a result of the Skydance merger, the increased cost of the Star Trek license became too much for our small business. We attempted to adapt but with the down economy, inflation and the new tariffs, I came to the harsh reality that moving forward with Paramount would not be sustainable. I have loved working with their team and will miss creating Star Trek merchandise together with them. ”
My Nacelle Archer arrived this morning! It’s pretty well done though the likeness is softer than I had hoped. Figures are definitely 1/10 scale
Post pictures of Archer! Anyone seen any other pics? I’ve seen Weyoun and Archer. Saw a comment about Sulu but for the life of me can’t find any posting.
I do have to say…I’m getting the vibe this may not be as simple as a container overheating. Appreciate the s*** out of BVW making an announcement but even he seemed to allude to that what Nacelle is being told may not be 100% accurate. Anyone catch the boxed sample pic “Captan Jellico”. Saw 1 comment about a figure having a kneecap come loose and backward arm? Nacelle is being transparent and I love it. But I can’t shake the feeling the factory they went with in order to stay under $30.00 for us…may just be sloppy “you get what you pay for” and BVW/Nacelle is having a behind the scenes battle with them. I will continue to support this line, believe Nacelle will continue to be transparent and I finally did pre-order the whole wave 1….but this does raise some questions…how bad do we want this line? I for one would be willing to pay more $ to avoid this in the future. What does everyone else think about this? Something isn’t adding up and it’s NOT coming from Nacelle’s side. Plus if a good portion of the shipment went bad how is this going to be rectified in 14-30 days? BVW has said in the past it’s easily 30 day boat shipment from China to LA. So unless the factory admitted they screwed up and will airfreight another batch…?
Really hope these are just early speed bumps that will smooth out in time. I don't expect it to be smooth sailing all the way (bar the likes of WWE, it's not often you get a line where every figure is based on an actor, in these quantities) Really, really want a Star Trek line like this, even with the scale being 1:10 instead of 1:12. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
The TOS bridge looks nice, and I like that they're selling it in sections too.

The TOS bridge does look amazing. No idea where I would put it or how I would display it, but it is very tempting. That said, I have my doubts about the future of this line. The apparent hiccups they've had, and taking this long to get anything out... Trying not to have my expectations colored by the several false starts we've had with Star Trek lines, but... this is a franchise that's hard to be optimistic about when it comes to anything like this.
Out of curiosity, has there been any updates on their plans to get figures stocked in brick and mortar stores?
EXO-6 Miles O'Brien up for preorder: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/361541
Not a terrible likeness, tbh, though I would have preferred the seasons 1-5.55 uniform. Will likely pick it up though.
