Got Hiya Chekov from BBTS yday, and his facepaint looks better than the first three guys. Other than that he's the exact same figure, of course. I've seen a pic of Scotty on FB so I know he's coming but Old Spock and Nero were due the same time, iirc; and I've heard nary a peep of them. I wonder if we're gonna get ganked of all the non-SF dudes. I esp want Keenser just to have more alien dudes; but ending the shitty 09 Movie line and getting to the good stuff would be okay, unless the whole line gets ganked.
I'm curious what the ankle articulation will be like for the Nacelle figures. It's hard to tell, but it looks like there may not be any or that it's minimal, at least on the current prototypes. I know it's a nit picky thing, but I love posing my figures!
This is also my concern. I'm a life-long Trekkie, but I've never bought figures because they mostly seemed worse than the rest of the market. Love the accessories and character selection that Nacelle is showing so far, but they're all digital renders so we don't know how well-engineered the figures will be.
Brian/Nacelle did reply to a comment specifically regarding ankle articulation on Instagram:
"we will have it for sure. This is a first prototype, so it has zero articulation but the actual figure should have at least 18 points of articulation"

He IS a toy fan, so it helps. Nacelle IS the company that produced that "A Toy Store Near You" show, so he's shown he at least cares enough about the community to highlight small shops for others to learn about.

*I am going to support the Nacelle line…but am I the only one who has to draw the line at Naval Worf & Geordie? I hated that figure in 1994 and feel the same 30 years later. I’ll go all in on wave 1 to support even though I can live without Tuvix and Preston…but the Naval stuff..bummed. All in to buy Kirk but really don’t need a horse. I just hope these accessories aren’t costing Nacelle too much ie rather the figure is cheaper or get another figure all together vs a to figure scale horse.
*HIYA Sulu mini back on USA Amazon. Literally said they had 3 and I just bought 1 today.
*On a now deleted post on another forum…appeared someone who is part of the Master Replicas figure development process spilled some BTS info that there’s “contention” in house about accessories with the characters ex Worf was designed to be able to latch his weapon on his back and the hilt you could pull out and it was a phaser like in the episode…but that may be nixed. I remember Ben Robinson specifically saying in an interview he was in the polar opposite camp of Nacelle and felt a phaser/tricorder for everyone should do the trick. It will be interesting to see what the outcome is…but it’s safe to say we will not be seeing any horses or dill weed coming with the MR selection. I for one probably fall into the Ben Robinson camp. Phaser, tricorder, maybe one character specific accessory and a way to holster the phaser/tricorder and I’m set.
At this point though…just happy we’re going from famine to feast with Star Trek figures right now!!
What are people thinking of the EXO-6 Ensign Mariner figure? She mostly looks good, but I'm not really sure what I think of the likeness and facial expression. She looks better than Boimler, imo, but something about her smile still feels... off. Her hair and uniform look good, so I'm still tempted to put in a pre-order for her. Helps that I did just start collecting 1/6th scaled figures this year.
Oh wow we are back! I had no idea! It’s been really busy since this site was down. I have all the Hiya figures to date, got a preorder in for the complete Wave 1 Nacelle Toys Star Trek line and have preordered all four of Master Replicas Star Trek line. I was also lucky enough to find an unopened Playmates Enterprise D bridge. Things are definitely looking up with Star Trek collectibles lately! Oh and I also put in a preorder for Hiya’s Enterprise Star Ship. While it might not be my favorite version, it looks pretty incredible! I hope they do lots more!

@enigmaticclarity I actually looked it up. The Enterprise D at 1:12th scale would be almost half the length of a football field.

There are only about 3 staff members left for the board, and Wordpress is proving to just be a horrible system. When there's nobody to work on getting it up and running again in a timely manner, it just goes dead for a bit. I honestly stopped looking because I thought this was the last time, and outsde forces have killed my access to IG and FB with no apparent resource to recover those, so I've pretty much given up on social media, as I will not do Reddit or the other current forum "replacements" that have popped up.
