Alright everybody! Brian Volk-Weis just announced on social media that he’s heard our pleas and they will in fact be doing bridge crews in their most popular uniform looks! Details will be coming early in 2005! I can’t wait!
I’m also glad to hear that Hiya Figures are getting in other people’s hands besides myself. I agree with the reviews. These are pretty nice and I hope they will do Legacy characters and also explore all the other current shows. I’m not sure if I will be collecting the 6” Hiya offerings or not. I definitely hope to collect 1:18th Hiya and whatever scale Nacelle’s figures are! Now I just hope someone gives us some “Lower Decks”figures!
Wow. Man at this point….I’m so impressed with Brian/Nacelle…I was going to cherry pick the 1st wave…but I’ll thrown down some $ to get every figure to support. This is really exciting.
Wow. So happy with Nacelle's owner Brian Volk Weiss's last video update. He said after reading over 2400 emails that they have heard the fans and are working with Paramount about producing the bridge crews along with the obscure or never done characters. They plan to make an announcement the first of the year. If I can truly get all the bridge crews in current 1/12th scale with modern articulation then that will become my collecting focus. I loved AA and DST's figures but having ones made like Black Series or Gi Joe Classified I will gladly replace them all!
@presidentjuggernaut Hopefully if they do well the license can expand. He has said he would like to have it all available.
Well, looks like I may end up purchasing some of this line now. Definitely a good announcement.
@aggroninja Me too. I’m actually interested in seeing people’s wishlists and some on-line polling like the Star Wars line has had for years.
For a Trek Toy wishlist my number one slot has to be a simple 18th TNG Klingon armybuilder. C'mon, Hiya; hook a brother up. Like Hasbro did with Wookiees during RotS, gimme a shitload of diff no-name armybuilder Klingons, just make them good playable figures.

I feel the same way. Seems he's literally reading every email himself and taking the feedback to heart. I have so much respect for this that I feel compelled to buy figures I was on the fence about, just to support a company that truly want's to do the best it can for the fans.
I was disappointed Mega didn't release a post-TOS Klingon warrior. Those would be fun in any scale. Maybe just pack in an alternate head or two for troop building.
Glad to hear Nacelle is listening to fans. I wasn't really planning on getting any of wave 1, but this announcement makes (some of) wave 1 tempting. Curious to see when/what they announce. I'm assuming the change starts with wave 2.
I could definitely go for army building in 1:18th too! DST kinda gave us a multi-use Borg in 1:10th / 7” scale before letting their license fizzle out. I really do hope Hiya gives us Klingons like you said, Borg, Hirogen, Jem-Hadar, Breen, etc.
For Nacelle I don’t think I want to army build so much. I do however want to go deep into characters and familiar bridge crews in familiar uniforms. I think it’s realistic to think we might get an Okana figure. It’s a great opportunity for a good William Campbell likeness to go on a Rocketeer figure in somebody’s collection!
As for my wants in 1:10th : I really want to see the DST figures with greater posing options. No more Wonky-Leg “River-Dance” Data! No more over size Picard with a diaper crotch. Also Hopefully we’ll get a full set of Archer’s crew with the blue jumpsuit in a plastic that will hold up better than what we got in 2001. I loved Art Asylum/DST and I am optimistic that Nacelle is going to learn from the mistakes that DST and Playmates made and course correct Star Trek action figures in a more successful direction.
I got my 4 Hiyas yday and have opened Kirk, but am holding off on Spock and the 2x McCoys until I've got a stashbox/bag for the loose gear they all come with.
If my sole example so far is true for all of them, you can avoid difficulty with the belt by simply popping them apart at the waist ball and slipping the belt onto the shirt directly, with lots of room to fold the shirt inwards to accommodate the belt sliding around it.
@adrienveidt How easy was it to do? And did he still feel sturdy when you popped him back on? It's probably just a me problem, but I feel like whenever I pop figures apart to try something, they tend to lose some integrity and become much looser/floppier when I put them back together.
Most of the resistance of waist motion seems to be the shirt rubbing against the pelvispants moreso than the connector waist ball; so pullpopping hasn't affected him so far I can tell.
'Captain, it does not appear that we have transported to Starfleet Headquarters as we had intended.'
'I concur, Captain. This appears to be the ruins of a pre-warp Terran civilization, European sub-continent.'
'Thank you, Cmdr Spock and Lt I'rina. Bones, care to use your medical expertise to weigh in whether we're indeed at Starfleet HQ or not? Are our eyes deceiving us?'
