Hiya Toys has a video demonstration of their Enterprise on their Facebook page. I don’t know if it has sound effects features but the lighting is impressive. It has glowing portholes, light up phaser banks and there’s even moving lights inside the Bussard Collectors on the nacelles. I can’t wait to see the fully painted model.

I also am not thinking it's a likeness issue as much as a parts reuse issue.

With the male crew figures they're getting to reuse almost everything.  Nero, Spock Prime, and Keenser are the only "one-off" molds they've announced so far.

Maybe they aren't committed to the idea of Carol (or Gaila); and are trying to "hold out" to see how the line does before they commit to molds for a female body that might be a one-off.

With that said - I'm not buying the line if Uhura isn't there.  In the Abram's films, Uhura is one of the "Big 3" characters (essentially taking a more central role similar to the one Bones held in the OG universe).  They should've found a way to justify the cost and included her up front rather than Nero or Keenser (who I am glad to see - but Uhura was more important).

No! No! I did NOT just see beautiful TNG characters!

NO!!!!!

Crap. I CANNOT justify getting into this line. I didn't like their Seven of Nine sculpt so I was able to stay away but those three look SOOOO GOOOOD. And I'm sure they'll do another 7 outfit soon, especially since they didn't lead with the silver.

I had NO IDEA EXO-6 had already covered so many characters - and so many of them homerun likenesses. And EXO is doing three Lower Decks 7" statues - with interchangeable parts!

I sure hope HIYA ends up being good. Hadn't seen Pike before - that's a great likeness to Bruce.

I know right?

Wasn't going to grab these...but seeing all the crews they are completing, I'm kinda smitten with them

Not sure I can even afford to go back & buy the ones I missed, but I'll at least try & grab the TNG characters in their TV outfits.

These newer ones do look awesome

Maybe it is a likeness issue, but I don’t think that is the case because as I said before we have other figures that have had Zoe Saldana’s likeness.

I also don’t think that it’s anything to do with Hiya not wanting to do female characters because GI Joe, Judge Dredd and Aliens all have female characters in their lines. Granted, Alien only has Sigourney Weaver in the White Spacesuit from the end of the first movie. They have gotten to all of the male leads in Star Trek, hopefully Hiya will have more to reveal like Uhura, at New York Toy Fair 2025. Hopefully they will do for 1:18th what Exo-6 is doing for 1:6!

That would be a dream come true for me. Ever since the early 80's I've wanted Classic Star Trek figures in scale with my 3.75" Star Wars figures!

Exo-6 really just started shipping their TNG stuff this year. Data, then Geordi. I've got both, they're great. If you're interested, now is probably the best time to hop on the line. You'll only have to backtrack on two figures. Picard went up for order a few weeks ago too. He might still be up for pre-order on some sites. I think Exo-6 proper has already closed the pre-orders on him, but they will likely have some in stock when they release him.

The Exo-6 stuff also always looks better than the pre-order images too.

If this Hiya 18th line does indeed succeed, what should be the first Shuttle they do for the line?  TOS Galileo?  The Reboot Galileo?

I vote TOS shuttle, but only if we have TOS figures to go with it. And I probably wouldn't pick up a Reboot Galileo because I'm already running out of space and I know it would be rather pricey. I think the Aliens APC was a couple hundred bucks if I recall correctly?

All that being said, I think I'd really like a Bridge playset before a shuttle.

TOS Galileo would be great and I know Hiya Toys would do an incredible job on it and TOS figures. I haven’t seen anyone comment on the light up Enterprise that Hiya had at SDCC. That thing was incredible in the videos from their booth. Individually lit port holes? Working navigation and running lights? Moving lights inside the nacelles? I’m scared thinking about how much the finished product is going to cost but I absolutely want it. My mind is racing with the possibilities of what this company might be able to bring us!

I wonder how Treks will look with those new Mando hallway and Armorer Forge sets Hasbro announced.  I bet they'd look great in the Blockade Runner hallway as if it were the Enterprise's.

I have to say this at least a couple times a year: I REALLY wish DST would revisit Trek! Their figures from years ago were really good, so I can only imagine how much better they could be now. Some of the old Art Asylum figures go for a pretty penny, so there is money to be made. I really believe that a comprehensive line, where fans felt secure that crews would be completed, would do well.

By revisit, would you mean start from scratch with new sculpting and new articulation? Or do you mean re-issuing the older figures and making new/unmade characters in the same style/format as the older ones?
