Really glad to see Scouter Vegeta getting a re-release - never managed to get the previous version and thats my fave design for him!

This isn’t a rerelease. It’s a similar looking figure with all new parts and faces. Also no tail or waist armor.

@nanigans - sorry meant as in a new version of Scouter Vegeta coming out as the previous ones are near impossible to find (shame it doesnt look like it goes with a destroyed scouter though)

Looks like Kyewi is coming tomorrow. I can't say I have ever felt like I needed a figure of him, but that pained headsculpt they gave him is pretty damn entertaining. He also has new parts for Namek Vegeta so you can recreate his death on your shelf.

I never thought they'd get to Cui before, well, pretty much any character they haven't made yet. They did a really good job with his head sculpts but I've got no use for him. I'd rather have Pui Pui 🤣

Cui makes me wish I'd picked up those two random Frieza Force guys from Demoniacal Fit when they were available.

Nice one! With First Form Freiza, Zarbon, Dodoria and now Cui (plus Namek Bulma, Gohan and Krillin) I really hope we get:

  • 2nd armour Vegeta (dark blue suit/no shoulder pads with a "death beam" and "stomach punch" replacement parts)
  • Nail
  • A reissue of the Ginyu Force

They don't reissue p-bandai exclusives, they "recolor" them. Which usually ends up being better than the originals.

Just hope they give us some new version of the Ginyu Force (heck if they want to differentiate them from the originals they can give the "new" versions of Jeice, Burter, Recoombe & Guldo the halo's they have when they fight Yamcha, Tien and Chaizou on King Kai's planet) and Ginyu could come with a namekian frog

I wish they would cool it in general on the P-Bandai stuff. I get making Cui a P-Bandai exclusive as he’s pretty niche, but that Vegeta should have been a general release item. I definitely grow fatigued with the amount of pre-orders I have through them which all require payment upfront and a not insignificant shipping charge with no option to bundle.

I don't mind P-Bandai as it beats missing the tiny preorder window to import a figure or pay BBTS's mark up for a figure a month or two later than all the import shops.

I also disagree that that Vegeta should be a mainline release. A very similar Vegeta was released many times already. I'd argue that this particular look is one of the least iconic for the character as most people associate the this outfit with the Saiyan arc and the look they associate with the Freeza arc is the darker jumpsuit without the shoulder pads.

The only recent P-Bandai offerings I found odd were Beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo.

Nah, it’s Vegeta. Most people who collect DBZ are interested in his various looks. It’s been years since he had a shoulder pad release too, it would have likely done fine at regular retail.

If they’re gonna make a Freeza arc Vegeta for mass release (remember that P-Bandai can’t/won’t be rereleased), I’d rather it be the one from the end of the arc that we’ve never gotten.

@misfit are you in the US? If you don't mind waiting a bit longer, Global Freaks in Spain is my main preorder place for PBandai. Vegeta was $58.70 shipped. No tax. Altogether cheaper than paying the ~$20 or so to have it come from a Japanese site.

The new Future Trunks was $40.17 and SS Vegeta was $24.07 with $11.18 shipping between the two of them.

Downsides are they are a pay ahead PO place, and they tend to get stock pretty late. Not too long after BBTS though on average, but sometimes about a month after.

Edit: that said, yeah, Vegeta should not have been PBandai. People have been clamoring for a new Scouter Vegeta for ages and while this maybe isn't the specific version it's likely the last Scouter Vegeta they will release for several years.

I'm in the US. My complaints are more to the mental fatigue of these releases of late. I've lost count of how many P-Bandai orders I have right now. I enjoy the convenience of the BBTS model where I just preorder with no obligation and then let stuff accumulate in a pile of loot until I feel like shipping it for a tidy 4 bucks. The $10 shipping P-Bandai has isn't awful, but it adds up and it makes every 60 dollar figure really a 70 dollar one.
