Why not just make a general thread? I think there was only a general thread on the old board, but it was mostly dominated by the Dragon Ball stuff so I see why a dedicated Dragon Ball thread was created.

Agreed.

I only collect Dragon Ball Figuarts, so it makes no difference to me either way

I would've, but creating new threads is the single worst part of the new forum. My notifications are flooded by topic replies every time I log in. I'm trying to avoid creating new threads at all costs, especially threads where I have limited interest in the subject matter, like general SHF.

Bit the bullet! 😆 We now have a general SHF thread.

Only reason I created a specific DBZ thread was because I felt that the old thread was basically a DBZ thread most of the time, and sometimes posts on other random figuarts figures would get lost in the conversation.

When I first saw Trunks on Preternia's twitter, I thought it was Farmer Goku from Super. Glad these are coming for those who want them. I don't want to go down the GT rabbit hole further than Super Saiyan 4 Goku, so I'll be passing on these. 

Vegeta 24k Power Level is up on Premium Bandai. I had no idea this was in the works. I want a Saiyan Saga Vegeta, but I'll compromise and just get this one. The little skirt pieces on the armor are annoying anyway. I find it amusing though that Bandai doesn't even try to hide the fact that these shoulder pads kind of suck by having them hinged up in the image of the crossed-arm pose.

Wouldn't have his tail either. 

They said they're using the Tullece shoulder pads on this Vegeta. I didn't get that figure so I'm not sure if those are better or not than the old ones. Either way, easy skip for me. I wouldn't get either one, but I'm surprised they made this Namek Vegeta rather than the one from later in the arc that people actually wanted. 

Those GT figures are, as all of them, another easy pass for me.

I might also skip the "new" God Goku since I have the original and the exclusive one with nicer paint and translucent hair. Looks to just be another repaint. Might have to see if it has nicer faces as they've been doing lately. 

I wish they'd rerelease the Whis training outfits.

Nah. Those are 1.0s and the colors on Goku are all wrong. We need updates of those rather than straight re-releases. 

Not a huge fan of GT so I'll pass on Pan and Trunks. Just waiting for Omega Shenron.

Probably gonna pass on Daima stuff too, unless the show REALLY works for me.

The animation for Daima looks great from what I can tell, which is a shame because Super deserved that treatment. I'm never a fan of the whole "getting turned into a kid" thing and it was my least favorite part of GT. Probably wouldn't get any figures from it. 

Daima looks fun, but yeah, probably won't need to get any figures from it. Definitely all set on GT, as well. Super got off to a rough start, but by the end it was looking pretty solid. I think they struggled with doing TV quality animation for a bit before figuring it out. It also didn't help that they were basically adapting two films with much higher animation budgets so it was really easy to make a direct comparison to something superior.

That new Vegeta looks great, I PO'd. Never liked the other Scouter Vegeta. This one is the closest to what I wanted that to be - more cartoony proportions. He looked like a little troll doll in Z and I really want figures that echo that early aesthetic. I think I'm going to try my hand at sculpting him the tail and skirt pieces out of flexible Cosclay, so he really is a Saiyan Saga Vegeta. He'll look amazing with Nappa.
