Why are they doing Trunks a 3rd time without releasing Kefla or 18? I want Z 18, not Super 18. The jumpsuit doesn't do it for me. I get Trunks is more popular, but shouldn't they at least do a round 2 of some of the other ones first?
I'd like a re-release of android saga 17 & 18. Maybe they'll do that when they get around to semi-perfect Cell.
Same here! They did 19 & 20 recently so I would love it if we got the Z version of 17 & 18
Actually they could do 18 in her original blue jacket look and later black jacket look to (the one when she breaks Vegeta's arm/is absorbed by Cell)
Androids 17 and 18 feel like a safe bet for a re-release in the not too distant future. Then again, I'm surprised at how they seemingly pulled back from the Cell saga over the past year to go back to Namek. I thought by now we'd have seen an Imperfect Cell offered.
I don't think a SS4 Gogeta exists either. He's probably my fave fusion, I kinda wish they'd do him. The Dragon Stars figures are trash and I don't wanna spend my money on them just to be disappointed. I'd rather spend more on awesome figures, and SS4 Gogeta is up high on my list of wants.
Full Power Frieza arrived at my door today. The character design is pretty ridiculous, but the figure does a nice job of bringing it to life. I do wish Bandai would apply a wash or just plain paint the hatchmark battle damage they sculpt into these DBZ figures. It would really up the presentation. A confident customizer could probably apply it themself, but I'm not such a person. They did a really good job of integrating the articulation into this guy. I'm a little surprised they didn't go with that drum style head connection with Frieza that we've seen on Krillin and Orange Piccolo. Instead, it's just a typical double ball peg, but it sits quite snug in the alternate heads and already I've had the neck come off before the head when swapping which is a little annoying. The two disc energy effects also have a post in them that's not glued in and that post popped out of them and stayed in the hands when removing them. Not really a big deal as long as the little thing is connected to something and those hands are only going to be used with those effects. I do think they missed an opportunity by not giving us an arm stump and a torso stump for Frieza's last stand (float?) after he's all hacked up. The bonus Goku portrait is fine if you want Frieza punching him in the face as part of your display.
Overall, those are mostly nitpicks. This is a good figure and I'm not sure I need any more Friezas. If they ever get to Frieza Black I'd probably grab that. I skipped his lesser forms and I don't really care for Golden Frieza. Though if they ever did a more Dragon Ball Super sculpt of his fourth form and did a golden version of that, maybe that's how I'd talk myself into getting another.
Just a quick silly shot, but the Sh Figuarts Goku’s Effect Parts Set is really fun:
Another reissue has shown up for pre-order - Majin Buu (Good version) due out in June 2025
Cmon Kefla. I've been checking out ebay and some other places looking for a good one on the cheaper end but most of them are in the $90+ range. I don't know how much she was new, but that's a bit too expensive presently. And alot of those are from China. They say authentic, but I can't help but not trust them to be knock offs.
The new Daima figures look interesting. Goku has a more youthful appearance which really makes me want a proper end of Dragon Ball/early DBZ Goku. Considering grabbing the new Vegeta since I don't have a base form Vegeta and it's a new sculpt. The knees are a little funky looking, but I think that's part of the Daima stylization.
And also, it was announced the Daima will be airing on Netflix which is good for me as I didn't want to have to signup for Crunchyroll.
I found SSA Vegeta at Wal Mart today. The only issue I really have is the beefy shoulders. He's also got the shiny gold hair instead of the flat gold. I don't mind it, but it isn't quite uniform with the other regular SS colors. The Trunks I have does have the gold as well, so at least they match. I'm hoping the SS Blue Vegetas hair matches SS Blue Gokus when it gets the new release next month. I have that preordered.
I'm pretty sure the new Vegeta has shiny blue hair, basically the same approach as the Vegeta and Trunks SS reissues.
Well I got my SSB Goku at Target for $35, and those seem to be the ones with the new shiny hair, so I'm hoping Vegetas is the same as that. If not, I do have a metallic blue I could use to spruce up Goku. And it'd be ok if the shade is a slight different cause Vegeta could just be considered SSB Evolved. As he's not out yet, as far as I know anyway, I haven't seen any pics of them side by side.
@trunks3540 I haven't seen any comparisons, but I also haven't looked. It is out as Anthony's Customs did a review recently. There are probably others on YouTube that might have more comparisons.
I'll have to look later.
