I like the Piccolo from Super Hero better. Better colors, sculpt and expressions. Less expensive too.

Yeah its a shame the smiling head wasnt included in the Proud Namekian set, but at least the Super Hero version can be used on it
The heads might fit, but SH Piccolo isn't the same color as Z Piccolo, so it won't match.
Got my GT Kid Goku in today. Mecha Frieza ships next week.
What? Yes they are the same color…? The greens are exactly the same on both releases.
I got Mecha Frieza in today. Really nice sculpt and I love the chrome paint they use for metal bits, but someone needs to tell Bandai they don't need to overengineer everything. Frieza has new shoulder parts where the outside, purple, portion pegs onto this hinge piece that's really annoying. The original fourth form Frieza was fine, especially if they would have molded the inner parts of the joint in white. We definitely did not need this addition. I was also curious how the sliced in half feature worked and it's basically a painted, slug, torso that comes with a stand. You pop off the arms, legs, and tail off the main figure to put on this thing to simulate the effect of Frieza being cut in half. It's neat, but they might as well have just sculpted the torso with the full arms and legs at this point so we could just display both. I don't know if I can see myself sacrificing the whole figure just to have Trunks slicing him in two on my shelf. Then again, it's not like Mecha Frieza did much aside from show up and get cut in half.
I guess the figure looks good for what it is. But boy, that was a lousy design in the 90s and it has not aged any better. And that arc might be the absolute worst in an already awful series.
I guess they're focusing on GT pretty hard. Baby/Super Baby and Omega Shenron are basically guaranteed at this point.
Meanwhile, I'm still looking for them to finish Cell's forms with a Semi-Perfect and new Perfect Cell and a Pure Boo finally.

Yeah I'm sure Baby and Omega Shenron will appear, not sure how many others they will do - I can't see many people wanting characters like Dr Muu, General Rildo, the Black Star Dragons, mustache Vegeta or old man Krillin
Agreed we need Cell's other forms - I was hoping they would be announced quickly after Imperfect Cell but that hasnt happened
I don't know if anything is guaranteed with GT. It feels like they're testing the waters after doing the Super Saiyan 4 guys and Kid Goku with an assortment of figures. If Trunks and now 17 do well then obviously, yeah, we're going to see more and more GT. I guess it's cool for people who like those designs, I'm personally all set with GT.

Agreed, I have SS4 Goku and Kid Goku while planning to complete the trio of Trunks and Pan
Would get Omega Shenron and might get Baby Vegeta (still such a stupid name 🙄 ) but really not planning to go deep into GT figures
Should add GT to the title the way things are going, super android 17 just announced and up for pre order on some japanese sites.
Super 17 is a good figure of a design that I do not care for. I'm going to pass on that one. Only GT figures I think I'd be interested in are Baby Vegeta, Omega Shenron, and ss4 gogeta. Maybe adult goku in the blue and orange.
Definitely waiting on semi-perfect Cell and a Perfect Cell redo. Perfect Cell is my number one most anticipated announcement at this point.
Comic Con exclusives were announced last night. This year from Dragon Ball, we can look forward to the following:
Goku and Kid Gohan (early DBZ) with the Flying Nimbus. Looks like Goku will have his windswept hair and a new face. Gohan looks to be in the same style as the Kid Gohan figure released with Raditz last year so expect minimal articulation.
Dragon Ball Super Future Trunks reissue. Has a more pearl finish and translucent hair. Probably updated face-printing. I regret not getting the original release of this figure so this a must-have for me provided he comes with the same stuff as the original.
Dragon Ball Super Full Power Jiren reissue. Like Trunks, has a new pearl finish. A good figure and another I passed on because I just didn't care for the character's design, but I did get that U.I. Goku reissue and he could use someone to fight...
No word on if these will be sold outside of the convention circuit, but it's probably a safe bet at this point. Just sucks that for those of us who do go that route we probably won't have these figures in-hand until next February or so.
