It's funny.. I think the blank helmet would only matter to me if I didn't know who Elric is and, therefore, didn't really care about having an Elric figure in my display. But since I DO want Elric, I don't care about the helmet at all. I definitely want Elric to be a unique character and stand out on the shelf, and adding a bunch of guys dressed exactly like him and using the same magic weapons he has access to seems like the exact opposite of that.

BUT, it's a smart inclusion for people that are just looking at this for the cool black armor guy thing and maybe don't have any interest in the pale, long-haired dude aspect of it. It was good thinking by the SC team. Looking forward to what they do next with the Moorcock characters.
And of course, I pre-ordered Elric immediately.

I too had to jump on Elric despite being 18th-do-and-die; but I agree it's not the best outfit for him.  I hate that nobody ever gets the helmet correct, where the dragon wings fold down to become cheek armor.

If they're only gonna do 3 Eternal Champions Corum and Hawkmoon *have* to be the other two, although I'd murder God Himself to get a good collection of the End of Time canon.

I read the DAW collection back in the 80s as a teen and obviously loved them; and I'd recommend just reading those if one needs to read the OG material.  Moorcock added more in-between stuff later but once you get to Stormbringer and his tale wraps up it was obvious Moorcock was just padding the canon for cash, imho.

If anything, I'd recommend reading the currently-ongoing Titan comics as they're friggin' *great*.
