The tough thing for me about this line is that I don't want a LOT of any specific type of figure. Too expensive and too much of a shelf space investment. I got two from the KS, plus the accessory kit for them. I'd love to get maybe one or two more at the most - but the price, with exchange rate, plus shipping to Canada, really puts me off. Would be cool if I could share the burden with a local collector, but I haven't even seen anyone from here collecting this line. I used to have the same problem with Boss Fight stuff, where I really felt like the only guy in the city buying any of it.
Super bummer, is what I'm saying. Gotta try to convince a local store to carry these to make my life easier.
Aw man, I really do feel for my collecting brothers up north. It sucks this stuff isn't more easily available to you guys.
@reefer-shark Yeah, it sucks. But it's not like there's anything anyone can do about it (no one making action figures, at least). The figures aren't unreasonably priced at all. But shipping, especially lately, absolutely sucks. I shipped my BBTS POL a couple of days ago; a Dark Horse Witcher thing for my wife, Origins Cringer/Adam, Origins Mer-Man, and NECA Bon Jovi. That's all that was in there.
39 dollars in shipping. Which is almost 54 dollars Canadian IF the credit card company uses an actual real-life exchange rate and not one that they just made up on the spot to enrich themselves because that's apparently legal (they totally did the latter, by the way).
It's just the general state of the world that if you don't live in the US, you're probably slowly (or quickly) getting priced out of collecting action figures.
Crazy especially considering shipping from Asia to California is relatively cheap/affordable. I've had stuff arrive here quicker coming from Asia than if it had shipped within the US.
I got some of this line from the KS. Didn't get any of the accessory set, since I find them to be a bit expensive unless you have quite a few figures. Just getting an accessory set for a figure or two doesn't seem worth it.

Yeah, it's wild. Shipping something -within Canada- is actually more expensive than shipping something from Canada to the US. And shipping something from Asia to Canada is way cheaper than shipping something from the US to Canada. None of it makes a single bit of sense, because everything is completely arbitrary.
Do we have to contact them for ankles or is it automatic?
I love my three lizard warriors. Two Slates augmented by armory teaming up with Royal guard swordsmen/swordsreptile.
Thwipp!
All the extra heads in the one pack I got off Kickstarter makes me want more of these figures for sure... And makes me wish I'd bought more off Kickstarter to begin with.
@prophet I havent heard anything except that comment in the live stream, and I don't think they've made an official announcement. I was assuming it was automatic though.
I don't need tighter ankles on my Royal Guard, I need tighter toe joints. Those have been the lynchpin in his stability for me. He's currently utilizing a McFarlane stand, which helps.
Same issue with my Slate — ankles are completely fine, it's the floppy toe joints (that aren't even really needed) that keeps giving me trouble.
Eagerly awaiting details on Friday's in-stock sale ...
@grumpymatt Yeah - floppy toe joints, rounded shape on the bottom of the feet, and loose ankles are all contributing to the issue. They actually went over it in depth in their last live stream. They said they tightened the ankles on the new shadow slate, which helps the issue but doesn't really fix it completely. They would need to send us whole new feet to get us really straightened out on this.
Thankfully this shouldn't be an issue on the Barbarians and fish people.
Yeah, I wouldn't be sad if the toe joint was dropped entirely. And they keep teasing the in stock sale on Friday, but said they aren't giving a time.
And I don't know if that means giving a time "yet" or if they're actually just going to drop it randomly that day. Cause that would sssssuck. I wanna spend some money, I need to know when.
@detrimental-fig Im totally with on you the sale thing. Im all-in on this line, and I need that shadow slate! If I miss out because of the random time drop (or whatever it is they're doing)
Well, I guess this is as good as it gets on sale info. (I get the reasoning for not announcing time but strongly disagree with it.)
Don't care for the snarky preorder comments either. No offense to Savage Crucible but I'm now approaching all first-time Kickstarter projects with extreme caution for a number of reasons.
And what retailers are selling these right now? BBTS is sold out of everything.
Anyway, this is from Insta:

How does that...make sense...? I mean I get not wanting to get slammed, plus bots, scalpers, etc. But...what.
