Roboskulls are on track to ship from China in roughly a month and expected to begin shipping to buyers around October.
@boy_wonder Yep, can't wait for mine to come in. I'm a little irked they changed the color of the Breath of Death for the SE version. I like the blue over the yellow, but whatever, it'll be such a showpiece when it comes in I probably won't care.
The it's just waiting for those 6" figs to come in. It's cool that it works for 1/18 too, but 1/12 is why I grabbed it.
@jakeekiss It's gonna before four years from the end of the Kickstarter till we get all of the six inch figures at this rate
@thewyldman Perhaps. The current schedule brings it in at around 3 yrs from the end of the kick. That doesn't bother me as much as it does some folks. The only kickstarters I think I've ever backed that released on time were comic book ones that were effectively already finished. Invariably the figure ones are always a month or 6 behind at minimum.
Here they were going from basically zero to full manufacture on a large vehicle and multiple scales and sculpts of figures. It's a broader spectrum of items than most kicks. And TBF, I was worried initially that they wouldn't be able to do it.
That said, though progress is slow, it's been steady, and so far everything that's been produced folks seem to agree has been good. I dunno, just because of some of the places I've worked I have a pretty high tolerance for the stuff that draws out a production schedule. It happens and as long as I feel like work is still being done it doesn't bother me.
Last day to preorder
@thewyldman There's a part of me that wishes I'd gone ahead and ordered a second roboskull in the standard colors. Alas...
I really hope they manage to get here before Halloween. That'd be lovely.
I can tell I'm a toy collector by how sad I was that I missed out on a pre-order of a toy I didn't even want in the first place.
With Fresh Monkey basically making Red Shadow figures, I was a little tempted, but not $200 tempted.
@fletch Weirdly, given 1/12 scale vehicles that have come out since, I feel like the Roboskull has gotten to be a better value over time, especially coming from a smaller outfit. Obviously it'll all depend on final arrival when I get to mess with it, but it's a lot of options and accessories even in just the base model. I'm definitely still looking forward to it.

Right. i'll be honest, i struggled to see how the Skull worked very well as a 1/12 scale vehicle - it made sense to me as a 1/18th scale thing, but working also with 1/12 scale figures made me skeptical, so i felt OK passing on the Skull itself. But it made me happy that i could buy the figures without the vehicle. I ordered the Wolf Trooper, the Skeletron and the Gyre Wolf to go with my Red Shadow guys - so i can round out that faction and i can make do without the crazy tie fighter that i wouldn't have room for.
Looks like they're taking a trip on a slow boat from China!
well they did have 2 typhoons hit China recently
