I really wish I liked these less. I gotta cut back on my collecting and this is not helping.
A Toy Kinda Mood had a great interview with the creators at Fresh Monkey and Gridiron.

One welcome inclusion was a better image of the Red Riding Hood and Agent Harker design sketches.
Not sure if I've said it here yet, but an earlier design of Harker had her with a sword instead of a crossbow and smoking a cigarette.
I hope both of those return. The sword would differentiate her from Van Helsing and his crossbow, while the cigarette gives a hard-boiled look you don't often see in female characters.
Well, both of those ladies would be instant buys if they come out close to what is pictured in the concept art. I'm trying very hard not to go all in on this line - and it's been doable so far because I'm not a huge fan of the monster motif - but the human figures have all been so good I'm still in so, so deep. And these two are going to go right on that pile.
Was hoping we’d get a nice promo render for Dr Rand. I was tempted already just for a generic scientist to have with my figures, the Dr Venom inspired head only sells him for me even more.
Dr. Ginger Wolfman makes this the best Monster Force Figure yet!
Man... I may have to get that figure just so I can use the head to pop onto an Xavier wheelchair body and make my DCUC Niles Caulder figure
The addtional portrait could come in handy too. And there's always room for a dude in a lab coat. So this figure is a win.
Holy hell, is that Dr. Krieger?
That's what I thought from his portrait in the comic, but the figure itself is clearly Dr. Quest.
Especially when Monster Force has this Race Bannon Bayton Reed waiting in the wings.
Oh man... Dr. Quest is an awesome take on that (I might actually order two) and a Race Bannon analog too... this line is too much fun. Would they do 'grown up' analogs of Jonny and Hadji - a blond in a black turtle neck and an indian in a turban... I honestly don't think I could resist if they dropped those into a line.
Also, is just me or does the second alternate head for Tannis Rand look suspiciously similar to a particular Spider-Man adjacent scientist/busiiness man/bad guy?

Heeeey...Dr. Rand looks suspiciously like Dr. Quest.
edit: ninja'd
Fun fact: I learned while looking for a picture of Dr. Quest that his first name is Benton. Bayton's name (technically B8t0n) seems more explicit now.
It's also interesting that they're both on opposite sides here, so there's no "Team Quest" in Monster Force per se.

that may very well be, but if they release a figure of Bayton he’s going right next to Dr. Ginger Wolfman on my shelf since they’re a couple… A COUPLE A GUYS!
@spongyblue, Soldiers of Fortune is a line that I just kind of don't get. I think it's that I don't have enough space for generic figures and these guys intentionally lack any kind of character. Especially compared to the absolute wild shit coming from Monster Force and the 1:18th Eagle Force lines (and even Naughty & Nice.)
Except that blue hood guy. Clearly I'm getting him.
If I understand right, SoF will be enhanced by gear packs from Gridiron Studios which could make them more interesting to me. Like, get an Action Man-type character with a bunch of different costumes and gear options.
Ill pass on the zombie soldier with the modern haircut and on the soldier of fortune line.
