lol, fourth time typing this out. Let’s hope the page doesn’t refresh this time.
Went ahead and placed an order for The General. I was already considering him, but I think I’ll end up using his black haired head for my eventual Black Major fix-up. Then it’ll still be fun to probably use the figure primarily as General Ross and have that vintage GI Joe head around to play with.
Speaking of Black Major, er, Major Noir… he’s the only one I don’t particularly care for their redesign of. Not digging the long jacket on him. Would’ve preferred either a short jacket like Count Ironmoon or better yet, no jacket piece at all. Would’ve liked if they’d used Van Helsing’s legs on him to have the untucked pants at the boots to better emulate the vintage Black Major and for the sake of visual variety on the shelf considering the whole squad right now uses the same legs.
It’s possible I could make a fix up with another figure that might have those legs in black, but at $37 a piece, this won’t be an easy line to buy figures simply for fodder.
@boy_wonder Not to suggest another $40 figure for customizing but you could always use the black sleepwalker body for him:
The forgotten king looks good and makes sense with his powers. Dracula not so much. Just your typical easy toy variant. Would have preferred a version of him just drenched in blood instead of this translucent red variant.
Still looks better than the deleted Deacon Frost La Magra from the alternate ending to Blade? 🤣

Damn you for selling me another figure from this line. I think I'll pick this one up, try to swap on the arms from Major Noir and the head from Count Ironmoon to get a better Black Major.
Then, I'll use the trenchcoat body, the arms from this Sleepwalker and the red ski mask head from Wolfsbane - left over from using the silver head to make Red Jackal - and make an all new character.
Sigh - this is getting expesnive, but super fun
@panthercult be alot more fun if they could get figures down to like 32 lol
True story - If these were closer to $30 I'd be more inclined to consider troop builds.
As it is Red Wolf and Red Laser are unique characters - I am not troop building any of these
@panthercult love him or hate him. The best thing thing vala ever did for action force was to get the figures down to $30. I've picked up figures I would have skipped and even troop built generics from that line since then.
I was going to just enjoy looking at pork pictures of these, but those hooded cultists look amazing.
And if I'm going to order those, I might as well get a couple of uniformed generals.
And heck, Dracula is just one more figure.
😵💫
I really liked the hooded cultists but I'm reluctant to pull the trigger. I mean, as cool as he looks, he'd look way cooler in a group of three using the different types of hoods. Do I want to go down that well?
And do I maybe buy one of those MF agent characters for suit color variety in my cult trio?
@fletch I bought 3 lol
You can always by some cheap marvel legends suited bodies to put the extra heads on

Yep... I had no interest at all in that black suited agent figure from the last wave of Monster Force but now I'm definitely considering ordering one to use with one of the alternate hooded heads. Sigh, I'm such a mark
@thewyldman yeah, I’ve been eyeballing the revealed figures so far to see what pieces I might be able to use. I’m curious if that red strap across Noir’s chest will be molded onto the torso, because then I’d probably need to find a way to keep the red belt.
The Eraser might be an option. I’m guessing that the knee pads are separate pieces from the legs, which after a little paint removing, would probably leave a pair of black legs like I want. But that decision might be a ways off until folks get wave 1 in hand and I can see how easy these are going to be to customize. Hopefully the torso pops off at the waist and the hips will pop off the ball joint. Then maybe someone here would want the invisible man parts to ease buying that figure for fodder.
EDIT: Never mind, none of that is gonna work, haha. Went back and looked through as many prototype and in person test shots as I could to get a better idea of how these are assembled and those knee pads are definitely sculpted on. I’ll figure something out eventually.
Machinegun wielding Bigfoot? These mofo's tryna take all my money or what?
