@ashtalon, 16 out of my 30 current pre-orders are Monster Force, a clear majority for Fresh Monkey.

Super7 used to be the lead, but with my Thundercat and Silverhawk collections wrapping up, they've dropped way down. In fact, a few of my collections are nearing completion, which has freed up funds for my new obsession.

Having said that, though. I'm thinking of dropping my POs for a couple MF figs as the luster has worn off. Halloween Boy, fer instance, doesn't really feel like part of the line to me, and the Forgotten King himself doesn't inspire me.

For me Halloween Boy is #1. Just the right amount of ridiculous.

@spongyblue, see, that's what originally got me on board. I don't know anything about the comic he's from, but I like the idea of a Phantom-esque demon hunter. It's just that aside from the distinctive headsculpt, it's just a tactical suit guy but in orange.

The risk of a long pre-order period, I think. Over time, some designs just reveal themselves a little less interesting than on first sight.

I'm definitely on the fence, I'm cautiously optimistic, but seeing some good in hand pics and reports on quality will be the deciding factor I think.

Concept art for the Mask and a possible further stretch goal have been posted in the Fresh Monkey Fiction Fans facebook group. The possible future stretch goal looks to be inspired by an even more obscure GI Joe villain that wasn't part of cobra or frankly ARAH. Good to see and the update fits.

@thewyldman, I've seen the picture you're talking about.  I'd assumed it was just Skeletron parts; is there someone more obscure it's based on?

@fletch oh it seems to be partially based of General Blitz who had cyborg parts in the cartoon for Sgt Savage and the Screaming Eagles. Sgt Savage seems to be the even more forgotten joe series than extreme so nice to see even if its a bit different

I have Halloween Boy and the Crimson Moon trooper sitting in my cart to pre-order at BBTS. On that fence something serious 😬 😬

@spongyblue You won't have to worry about being charged till like 2025. Doesn't hurt to preorder to see if more stuff you might like gets unlocked!

Yeah, it seems like they used Drac to balance the wave's budget. Smart move, really.

I don’t mind Dracula being less accessory-heavy; after all, it’s not like he needs guns. I do hope one of the upcoming exclusives is Dracula with an added cloth cloak and an “old” paint deco a la the first few chapters of the book.

@fletch Yeah the disparity in accessories is the biggest issue with this line. At 37.99 you kinda have to toss in some shit with figures like Dracula or Dr. Caligari. Yes, they're both great but I really hate that the box is empty.

Red Shadows subline is actually fairly balanced though so maybe that critique has been heard.
