@docsilence swapping the wings is pretty easy. I haven't had any breaks, personally, but I also don't swap them frequently. The caped wings often don't plug-in nicely for me and just sort of hang there, but it works for what it's going for. Hudson has not received any caped wings. NECA had previously indicated Lexington would come with some, but they changed their mind, so the prevailing thought is that MacBeth will come with wings for Hudson. Or, he'll get a variant of some sort like Broadway (he's the only character you have to buy twice if you want caped wings). Angela and Thailog also have not received caped wings.
@doc-baghead I'm generally content with the NECA offerings as well. I'll listen on animation-accurate Gargoyles because that would have been my preferred aesthetic, but they'll have to look really good. I mostly would want better articulated figures than what NECA has provided as it does annoy me a little they can't do their classic three-point pose. They need some neck articulation, at least, to pull that off.
@misfit Thanks for the info - I did notice that Broadway got folded wings with his detective look but for the life of me couldn't find anything on Hudson's wings. I had lost steam on the line not because the figure aren't amazing but just out of space, but could definitely get back into it and didn't want to miss those wings.
BBTS has Lexington in stock.
This line has been quiet for a while now. Is this the longest they have gone between releases since the Gargoyles line started?
@turtlepig yes. Detective Broadway is the only release for 2024 and it's a variant. The last new sculpts were all released last fall (though they've done reruns of the clan this year as evidence by BBTS getting a new stock of Lexington recently).
Ok, thanks Misfit!
I wonder if Mondo will go for fully animated designs or the designs like these NECA figures.
I wonder if the issue is outside of NECA and if the lack of news or real releases is due to some unexpected licencing issues. There have been massive delays with Dynamites Gargoyles' comic run and, more so, with their classic comics Kickstarter. It is strange to go from "best-selling line" to tumbleweeds.
As an Australian, part of me hopes it is licencing issues as they negotiate worldwide sales instead of US and UK only.
@thebalzan The delays in the comic have nothing to do with this. The comic suffered from production delays, but an issue just came out.
Weisman also mentioned four comics projects for Gargoyles set for 2025 that he's actively working on.
I don't think any of the other Gargoyles media is impacting the figure line. That doesn't mean there aren't issues though. Disney did just grant Mondo the license for their stuff, but it likely has little do with NECA since it's a whole different scale. Still, Disney wasn't happy with Super7 so they basically stopped approving stuff and let the clock run out on that deal. I suppose if they're not happy with sales of NECA's figures the same could be true, but it's all just speculation right now. Gargoyles being absent from the trade shows this year was a bad sign.

Agreed. Plus, as I understand it, the comics and the figures are approved by two different divisions anyway. Disney's Publishing and Disney's licensing.
@turtlepig Mondo is riding animated accurate looks for most of their lines right now, so they'll definitely go with fully cartoon accurate. With bits of cel shading. Just look at their BTAS line or Spider-Man and X-Men animated right now. The Mondo figures are going to be huge and expensive.
The thing that gets me is that these figures are still being shipped. NECA is sending them out to be restocked. Lexington and the Steel Clan robot, for example, are showing up at stores again. And I hear that Elisa Maza is going to be shipped again. BBTS got restocks. My Target was empty for a while but now has a lot more in stock.
So these figures are still selling. Who restocks figures from a line that isn't selling? I can't help but wonder if something else is going on.
Macbeth’s silhouette was shown during the same “31 days of reveals” as the NBX Ultimates back in 2022 and those are only just now getting released.
I don’t think the line is dead, I just think NECA is running behind on everything but Ninja Turtles.
I guess we’ll know for sure in March at Toy Fair, but I think we at least get Macbeth and Coldstone, even if they’re still another year out, before they truly shut the lights off and kick us out.
Both BestBuy and Amazon currently have the Vows 2pk of Goliath and Demona on sale from $70 down to $40. It was enough for me to pull the trigger for some better and more varied face sculpts and to have a backup Demona as my last one's knee joint was warping making her lean. It's obvious this 2pk wasn't moving hence the large discount, but it works for me in the short term. Hoping we get at least MacBeth and Hudson's wings before this line goes belly up. If they shoved Hudson's wings in with Owen that would be perfect and I could call it closed on the line at least for me personally.
