Yeah, that looks more like a robe than a trench coat. Don't know if I need folded wings enough to buy a double character.
That coat looks like absolute shit.
I was looking forward to this release because I think Detective Broadway is cool variant.
I shouldn’t have to source a 3rd Party Trenchcoat, essentially the only thing making him DETECTIVE Broadway, to make him not look like trash.
I could buy a discounted Playmates “Elite Collection” “Movie” Turtle or Super7 Disguised Raph and throw everything else away and havr a better Trenchcoat than what NECA is offering.
is it a cost thing?!?! He doesn’t have his wings out when he wears the coat, those could have been cut to give him a not garbage coat!
but who are we kidding, Coldstone and Macbeth aren’t even on the back of the box! This was the only way to get Broadway’s wings out, we’ll be lucky to get Hudson’s, no way in Hell are we getting Angela’s.
I’d love to be proven wrong but the line’s dead, and this figure is it’s shiny holofoil print tombstone
Yeah, I am pretty much convinced the line is just dead in the water...unfortunately.
Where the hell are Coldstone & MacBeth!?
Coldstone was on the cover of the first Toycollectr magazine and that was, what? 6 months ago...
It'll be a real shame if those 2 do not see release.

That was fall of 2022.
@doc-baghead the coat looks more like a bath rober. Which, in hindsight, would have been a pretty funny thing for the show to do if Broadway couldn't find a legit coat. I was surprised at how awful it looked because I think the trench coat that came with the movie Raphael was pretty nice. Either way, garbage release and I'm not buying it just to get some closed wings and more food items. Broadway will have to be the lone gargoyle on my shelf with the spread wings.
I am not convinced the line is dead. It is certainly slow to release new figures. But each release seems to be fulfilled in waves. For instance Lexington came out, some orders were fulfilled, and then others had to wait a few months for even more stock to come in for their orders to be fulfilled. It seems like each figure has a really large production run.
In one of Randy's toy convention interviews late last year he indicated there was a lot more to come. And sites like Nerdzoic indicated that their sales for Gargoyles were really good.
I could be wrong, but I'm not worried. I'm also mostly satisfied with what we got. Perhaps that is an issue. They are not in a hurry to release more, because their really isn't too much meat left on the bone after the core cast. Further characters wouldn't sell near as well. I'd buy some, but I'm not clamoring for them.

”other characters wouldn’t sell nearly as well and I’m not clamoring to buy them” is not a defense for the health of this line.
Anyway, I’ll still probably buy the official Bathrobe schlub Broadway when it goes up on Target’s website because I’m a sucker and want the alternate portrait, the cape, the hat, I like the art on the cover flap and the best way to make me buy a figure I already have is mini foods… but I went ahead and bought a “Ninja Elite” Michelangelo off Amazon (it’s $12.50, eligible for free overnight shipping, and if it hadn’t fit I could return it at Whole Foods when I buy chicken in a few days) and tried the coat on Broadway.
If don’t want to buy a second figure but DO want a Detective Coat for the one you have, it fits PERFECTLY! Arms are the right length, coat goes down to just above his knees, accommodating for the shell means the coat easily fits over his ample tummy… it’s better tailored to Broadway than the one actually made for him. It also has an accurate belt that closes with the proper clasp instead of a lazy knot and little buttons for detail (which admittedly the animation model does not have, but the animation model also doesn’t have separate claws from digits and bulging muscle veins so I’m just saying if you’re taking the artistic liberty the Gargoyles are vacuum formed yoked, maybe assume the coat had buttons)
So yeah, NECA may routinely school Playmates in what it means to make a good TMNT line, but with this coat NECA takes a rare L.

That last bit wasn't meant to be a defense.
I think sales for what has come out have been really good. I think sales for what's to come will be less. But I do think there is more to come.
NECA figures seem to arrive in chunks so I'm not sweating the future of the figures we've already seen. Obviously, nothing is guaranteed, but I also wouldn't be shocked if we get preorders suddenly for MacBeth or Coldstone. The lack of a February Toy Fair does suck since we didn't get to see what the companies are pushing for fall.

Yeah, the complaining about the line being dead seems ridiculously overdramatic. Like goddamn, we just got flooded with a bunch of characters, I'm fine if they're taking some time to "reload" with more.
We get flooded with a bunch of characters?
We get flooded with a bunch of characters?
Last year we had Broadway, Brooklyn, Sega Genesis Goliath, Angela, the Steel Clan robot, Armored Xanatos, Elisa Maza, and Lexington come out within the span of a few months.
@whitehawk345 I must have spaced out my purchases then because I don't recall getting hit back to back on these.
