I skipped on Thailog. It had a fantastic accessory. Armored Thailog is interesting. Iβd consider him. Owen is my next biggest want. Iβm not sure what accessories to give him. He has to have a flip phone. Oh he could be a two pack with Puck. That would be good.
Thwipp!
Just saw a group photo of the collection and they had Thailog with closed wings (from video game Goliath). Anyone have these to see close up pics and how well it works?Β

@prophet I also skipped Thailog, I'd die for an armoured one, and understand why he exists as he does, but as it stands it's a single episode version of the character that isn't that exciting aside from some amazing accessories.
Other than him and the dumb variants like Game versions, I'm all in on the line. Not sure about Detective Broadway though, as though the character is awesome, I don't want duplicates unless it's an iconic presentation and hope against hope the relaxed wings will come with another figure down the line.
I am dying to get my hands on Lexington too. Pity none of my usuals have got him in stock yet.
Finally opened Lex & Xanatos today. I had gotten them last week, but lost power for a few days (which SUCKED), so you know...priorities.
I ran the blow dryer over Lex, due to the issues noted in the thread, and that seemed to work just fine.
I really like both. Xanatos so much, I went back and ordered the armored version, which I was not committed to until I knew I could fit him into the display...which it seems I can.
Other than MacBeth, I may be "done" with the line.
I skipped Thailog, Angela, Steel Clan, and the game versions of Goliath.Β
Coldstone is a maybe, if he ever releases...
I think the only other figure I would highly consider, would be Fox.
Overall, I am happy with my collection. I have the main characters, and that's all I really need (aka, have room for😊 ).
For those that are interested, Dynamite is running a Kickstarter to restore and release trades of the old Marvel and SLG comics!
@whitehawk345 Sadly it seems to be the most lacklustre kickstarter I've experienced. The funding goal has been acheived within a few hours and they've basically been radio silent since with only the most basic questions being answered.
Isn't that a good thing? The goal was met, everyone should get their stuff, and the campaign doesn't close for another 4 weeks or something. I'm up to date with the current Dynamite run of Gargoyles and it's all right. I miss the atmosphere of the cartoon which just isn't really conveyed in still images so it doesn't hit the same way. I never read the old Marvel and SLG issues, though I didn't feel like the current run was hard to get into having not read the SLG stuff. I'm curious about the past issues, but I don't know if I'm curious enough to throw a hundred bucks or whatever at them to find out and then have more stuff hanging around the house. It's good that they're doing it, though given the amount of interest in the project it sure seems like there was no need to make it a crowd funding thing.
@misfit It's good that it's backed, but when there's nothing to be excited for like stretch goals, there's no point to be invested in its success.
The unresponsiveness to questions is bad in any crowd funding.
That all being said - Everyone should go back it as there's no guarantee they'll see release outside of the Kickstarter (one of the questions that continues to go unanswered).
I think getting the product being sold is reason enough to be invested in its success. I took a look at some of the questions and it struck me that the obvious answer for many was a simple, βNo.β They wonβt say anything that harms the campaign, like confirming these will be available again later, either. It seems like a really straightforward campaign to me: Β if you want these TPBs, here are your options, decide accordingly.
Does anyone know a good weapon to use for Elisa's gun?
@bip I'm using a gun from a marauderinc.com weapons pack. I bought the set to get replacement swords for Classified Storm Shadow, but it came with lots of other useful stuff. The one I'm using IS a little small for her, but it's definitely better than the included option of... nothing. I'm sure Gridiron Props has plenty of options that would work, too, but those are gonna be a bit pricier.
@bip Probably impossible to get now, but I had gotten McFarlane's weapon pack 1, and there's a pistol in that set that works perfectly for Elisa. I'd say nearly the perfect scale and fits in her hand beautifully while matching the animation model close enough.
I bought a sidearm off of Casting Cave. It was pretty cheap, but unpainted and they didn't have any 1:1 matches to her 9mm from the show. And even though this line is technically more of a 1:10 scale line, I found guns from 1:12 or pseudo 1:12 lines like Marvel Legends look fine in her hands. If you have a Deadpool figure, then you probably have a spare gun for her. And if you don't, there are a lot of nice Deadpool figures out there if you don't just want to buy a gun.
I find it funny that the photographer for the solicitation images on the two-pack didn't even both trying to get them to stand in the proper posture. I can just see them fiddling with the pair and saying "Screw this." I'm not feeling those new faces for Goliath. The teeth-gritting one looks okay as it has a toony vibe to it, but the smile looks off. Demona's new expressions look pretty great though, and I was surprised when the original Goliath opted for alternate heads instead of faceplates so this is probably a good move to re-engineer that aspect of the figure. I'm definitely not paying 70 bucks for a couple of new faces though and some accessories I'll probably never use. I'd say this is a great opportunity for people to catch up if it weren't possible to find plenty of Goliath and Demona figures on the shelf. And yet it sold out, so obviously there are plenty of fans who aren't me.
