@nilocomic I feel like most of the male gargoyles are pretty tight there due to how they cut the sculpt. They really tried their hardest to hide the seems, but it makes the joint hard to work with and limits how high they can raise their arms out to the side. With Lex, there's just less meat to work with and thus he's probably more susceptible to breakage as a result. Being able to get the past ones to "go" gave me a false sense of confidence with Lex.

EDIT: As I feared, BBTS having no additional stock means they can't replace my figure, but they refunded the purchase so I have nothing to complain about. Maybe I'll get lucky and score one at Target now where it's a few bucks cheaper.

Yep, that peg for the bicep was so small it couldn’t hold up against the tightness of the stuck shoulder. Definitely felt overconfident in its strength based on the past Gargoyles. Hopefully he’ll start showing up at Target and Walmart more frequently so you can get a new one.

He’s in stock at Best Buy with free shipping so I just grabbed him there. A net gain of four dollars!

Got Lexington, Broadway, Elisa and suited Xanatos all within the last 3 weeks or so.  I don't know how many more of these figures I'll honestly need aside from detective Broadway just to get the wings etc.  Likely will get MacBeth just because I liked the character and his hunter mask.  Do we know who we have to get to get wings for Hudson?  I don't think I'll be getting stone versions of these only because I don't have the shelf space even without the giants wings attached now.  Maybe Owen and then I think I'm likely out unless they start selling head-packs separately, because I'm not buying another Goliath & Demona just for more facial expressions.  Someone let me know where I get cape wings for Hudson!

@jtmarsh I don't think Hudson's wings have been confirmed yet, but I'm assuming they're coming with MacBeth.

I got my second Lex yesterday and, yeah, these shoulders suck. I didn't break anything on this one, but even a hot bath did little. I'm tempted to try to just pull the shoulders out just a little bit to give them some more room. At least I have the broken one to experiment with. It's just kind of a bummer as I think Lexington is one of the best looking ones so far, but he is not fun to handle.

I want MacBeth and Coldstone and I’m holding out hope he comes with Hudson’s folded wings. But I see myself becoming more picky choosy. I want Owen. The Pack are interesting. I guess I’ll just have to see.

All these Lexington stories have me nervous. He is still in the box. Heat baths don’t help? I’ll be extra careful with him.

Xanatos has been my fun lately trying to get him in the Will Riker poses.

I’m going to open Elisa next. Kind of working through them.

Thwipp!

The hot baths for Lexington don’t create a permanent fix, but they do help. Definitely don’t try to move him without heat.

@prophet heat only helps a little with Lexington because it's not paint that's causing the joint to be stuck or tight, it's the engineering of it. I tried a second time with it and really didn't get much out of the shoulder. I even made sure to heat just the shoulder and not the bicep as I didn't want that peg to become soft and gummy. Lexington is definitely a figure to take care with as later on when I was swapping heads I somehow managed to snap his foot off at the ankle when pushing down on the alt head. I can't say I've ever done that before, and it makes me wonder if some of the harder plastic for this batch came out a bit too brittle. Thankfully, I had the other one that had the busted bicep so I was able to swap the shins since the lower leg just pegs into the thigh. I've now set the figure on my shelf with no plans to ever really touch it again.

Even ignoring the two breaks I had, Lexington just isn't a fun figure. The sculpt is nice and I love the default portrait, but his wings (something this line just can't avoid) are terrible. Unless they're as wide as can be for a flight pose they just look horrible and nothing like any version of the character we've seen. I wish NECA had gone with a soft goods material for the membrane of his wings so they would drape nicely for casual posing. They could have done a swappable set of arms with plastic wings for flight poses. Like a lot of people, I really like Lexington's design from the show and his character, but his figure might be my least favorite from a presentation point-of-view and a fun factor.

Hearing all this stuff about Lexington is so disappointing.  I've been hesitating with him already just because he's so small and they didn't drop the price on him at all.  Now hearing about all these breaks......man.  I want to pass but he completes the core team.  Ugh.

I put my Lex through the paces when I got him a few months ago and he was fine. I didn't really force anything extreme due to the wings, but with generally moving them around for poses, the arms didn't feel like they were going to break like others have had happen.

Yeah my Lex is just fine. Didn't have any problems like that. I will say the wings are awkward and you have to kind of...think as you move parts, but he's doing fine.

Beyond Macbeth & Coldstone, I need Owen, The Pack, and the Weird Sisters, and would like Matt Bluestone. I need to do another rewatch (my last one was when Disney Movie Club finally put out S2V2 on DVD, so it's been awhile) to see if anyone else hits me as necessary for a "complete" collection, but those are the ones that stick in my mind as fitting that description (like, I wouldn't cry if I didn't get Matt, but would be pretty upset to not have the rest I mentioned).

If Macbeth comes with Hudson's closed wings, I'll grab him, but as far as NEEDED characters for me, it's Owen to go with Xanatos and Demona, and I'm set.

My wish list is pretty comprehensive. From the first two seasons of the show and the SLG and Dynamite comic books. But if I could only have five more. Not counting the Macbeth, Coldstone, and Gabriel that were were already shown:

1. Armored Thailog (he's what we should have gotten, I understand they wanted to recoup costs on the mold, but...)
2. Owen Burnett
3. Fox
4. Puck
5. The Weird Sisters... yes, I am cheating. One mold, three different characters.

After that, I'd want Matt Bluestone, Wolf, Jackal and Hyena, Coyote (any model), Oberon, Titania, the Archmage, Katana, Nashville, Fu-Dog, post-Phoenix Brooklyn, Coldfire, Coldsteel, King Arthur, Sir Griff, the Mutates, the Hunters.... yeah, just keep 'em coming.

^Seconding this list.

As long as we get Coldstone and Macbeth we’ve gotten the Kenner characters and that will officially be “good enough” but this list would finish off the core players and be perfect. I could also just rattle off names forever of characters I want, but that list of five *chef’s kiss* no notes!

Do the Weird Sisters have different faces or just different hair colors? Since Elisa has swappable hair they could do one figure, three expressions, three hair pieces… similarly I really hope Owen comes with a Preston Vogel head and bow tie, since there’s no reason to ever make an actual Vogel figure (and you could probably trick McF collectors/people with the NECA Superman to buy one to be their Clark Kent)

I really want a Doctor Sevarius (with so many indie companies making amazing Animal Warriors I need Anton to tie them in with my Gargles collection!) but he’s a low stakes character (Hey everybody! It’s Tim Curry’s least visually interesting character!) I can see NECA putting him off for a while.
