@mwoo A vested Gonzo would be a sure buy, especially if he's a little bit taller than the current figure.
I'm curious how newer characters like Walter or Bobo would sell. I expected Walter to be an announced figure by now. The low sales of Pepe and Deadly have probably lowered the chances of getting Walter, or other newer characters, in the near future. But I wonder if characters that don't have Palisades figures, like Walter, Bobo, Sal (with Johnny), and Yolanda would sell better.
As much as I want a Bobo and Walter 2-pack, and I do think they would sell, I really question how well a Sal Manilla or Yolanda the Rat would perform. In my opinion, they are not starring characters like Deadly and Pepe, or Bobo and Walter for that matter.
And I really do wonder how much Palisades collection owners are looking at our figures to see who's already made or not made yet. It's not like any of our figures work with their collections. The scale is too different.

I agree that a Bobo and Walter two-pack would likely sell well, since those two characters have had big roles in the most recent movies and haven't had much merchandise. I hope it happens! I also agree that Sal and Yolanda are a tier below those two in prominence/popularity. I thought a pack of Sal and Johnny would be popular because Palisades didn't complete that duo. It seems like there is interest from Muppet fans in getting characters that there is little or no merch for, including no Palisades figures, but I have no idea how widespread that interest is.
As the NYCC audience member mentioned, the Newsman seems like another well-known Muppet that may support a figure. I hope y'all are able to make him, Beauregard, Link, and Pops, as I think of them at the same tier as Lips and Lew. I guess it depends on how well Lips and Lew sell.
Fingers crossed they sell well! At this point, Pigs in Space is my next vote, but we'll see.

I have both DST and Palisades, two entirely separate displays obviously. I'd much prefer that you were doing Palisades scale and style, but you aren't and it's hard for me to pass on any Muppets action figures, so I've been collecting DST's line since Day 1.
For me, getting new characters/outfits is much more exciting than getting stuff I already have in a new scale. For this same reason, I'm more interested in other themes (Veterinarian's Hospital, Christmas Carol) than Pigs in Space, which given the figures and playset that Palisades did, I don't see you improving on what came before. Covering new ground allows you to step out of the shadow of Palisades and pull in more collectors who will buy new characters/themes because it is new and not something they already have.
@scottg10 I understand not wanting repeats of Palisades figures, but I'm the opposite. Since the displays are separate, I want both collections to feel complete. I'm fine if Diamond Select never makes Muppets Tonight characters, like Clifford, Johnny Fiama, or Sal (though I still think a Johnny and Sal pack would be popular). But, I really want them to make some of the bigger remaining characters from the Muppet Show, like the Newsman, Link Hogthrob, Beauregard, Pops, and Marvin Suggs (sorry everyone for listing those characters like 20 times already in this thread, I just really want them), especially since I've been making custom figures to fill out the characters I think are unlikely to ever get made, like Nigel and Louis Kazagger.
I could try customizing the 5 characters I'm most hoping for, but I'd prefer getting actual figures instead because I'll never achieve the same quality. Without them, my display definitely feels like it's incomplete. Any figures in addition to those five are icing on the cake to me.
I wish I had bought the Palisades Pigs in Space set and figures. Oh well.
Look forward to seeing what comes next.
Thwipp!
@bills-all-day I don't disagree, the DST line should be "complete" and key characters should be released. However, who is considered a key character is going to vary from person to person and DST themselves have stated that they are getting into a lower tier of character that they don't think will sell as well. So if they do decide to recycle more popular characters in new costumes bringing something new to the table (i.e Veterinarian's Hospital, Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppet Babies, Muppet Wizard of Oz) may appeal to a broader audience. A Palisades collector may not bother with Muppets in Space, but those other themes are brand new and can work as standalone collections.
@scottg10 Yeah, I'm selfishly hoping there are enough folks interested in classic Muppet characters for DST to decide to make more, in addition to making variants. Lips and Lew could certainly be as deep into Muppet Show-era characters enough folks are interested in buying. I obviously hope not. I'll just keep buying them and bringing them up on social media and hoping sales stay high enough for us to get all the additional figures I want. With variants, that's like 20 figures.
@MSWord Do you think Pepe and Deadly will be arriving before the end of the year? Any idea on when Lew and Lips will go up for pre-order?
though I still think a Johnny and Sal pack would be popular).
If DST put out a Jonny and Sal 2 pack, I thinkmit would do rather well, especially if they did a chase variant of Jonny in the shark skin suit. If it's Sal by himself. It wouldn't do well.
I hope people get it if they want one, but a Johnny and Sal 2 pack would be the first set I skipped in this line.
I love the figures I have and I hope to get a bunch more, but I honestly have trouble getting excited for new reveals in this line. The long wait between figures really takes away from me caring about what's coming in the future. Unless I'm mistaken Sam and Rizzo was the last new set and I got that over 2 years ago.
I don't think I'd buy a Jonny/Sal pack either. I didn't watch Muppets Tonight. I skipped all of those figures in the Palisades line too. I only got figures from The Muppet Show. That's probably all I'd do with the Diamond line too.
I would definitely buy a sal and Johnny 2 pack. But then again I'll kinda take whatever is available in terms of muppets so..
Fingers crossed pepe and deadly arrive soon. Pepe is my favorite Muppet and I have wanted him in this line ever since I noticed he's amoung the muppets on the packages of the other figures
But if I have waited this long I can wait a bit more

I really hope that DST is able to fix whatever issues are delaying Pepe and Deadly because, I agree, the long wait between figures is not helping the line rebuild momentum. I think Deadly and Pepe were first shown 16 months ago at SDCC 2023. People have stuck with the line for a long time, but I've definitely heard from other folks who have lost interest because of long delays. I need interest to stay high so I can get all the figures I want.
Veebs interviewed Andrew from BFS. Most of the interview is about their Saurozoic Warriors figures, but they briefly discuss other lines at the end. Around the 39 min mark, Andrew provides updates on their Fraggle Rock figures and shows some production samples of Boober and Sprocket. It seems like wave 2 should be coming out in early 2025. Wave 3 is in development. Who do folks think will be in that wave? I'm hoping classic Mokey is included.
