I just saw there is a Mr. Allan in the World of Toys YouTube review of Uncle Deadly and Pepe scheduled for 10/30. I assume that means we'll be getting them in early November.

Mr. Alan guesstimates a lot of his livestreams. We'll see when they ship. Hopefully soon.

@msword Thanks for the clarification. Hopefully, we don't have to wait too much longer for them. Maybe before the end of the year, at least?

In this week's AskDST, DSTChuck said they are still hoping to do about 3 Muppets releases a year. He also said they are still undecided about continuing with Muppet Show characters or starting to incorporate movie variants. After thinking about it more, even though I would definitely buy Christmas Carol figures, I strongly prefer new characters from the shows.

In other Muppet figures news, Rip Rocket Photography posted images on FB for Blitzway's new Sesame Street Carbotix figures. They look interesting, but cost around $140. Is anyone familiar with this line or company? It's new to me.

@bills-all-day Blitzway did the 1/12 Inspector Gadget, Where's Waldo and Voltron releases over the last few years.  They also do a lot of 1/6 figures, including Ghosbusters and the Ecto-1.  There are also some other Carbotix figures in the same style.

@bills-all-day I have the Blitzway Ghostbusters and the figures are great, but I really kind of hate the look of the robo Sesame Street figures.  If you are just wondering about quality, I doubt you have a reason to be concerned.

@captaincracker Agreed, I love the Blitzway Ghostbusters figures, and the Inspector Gadget figure set is pretty awesome too.  It appears they are re-releasing the GB figures with new and improved  headsculpts if anyone is interested.

At the 25 min mark in ToyShiz's video of the DST panel, DST showed early images of their Lips and Lew Zealand figures. I'm curious how these will look in figure form. Based on these images Lew looks good, but I think Lips' hair is a little too big in the back. It could just be the angle. I'm so excited for these two! What do folks think?

I didn't watch the video, but I've seen the renders of Lips and Lew. Is the scaling off between these two? Either Lips looks too big, or Lew looks too small, or both. I imagine them being closer in height.

I scaled the pics to each other, so I may have gotten them slightly wrong, but Lips is very tall and Lew is very hunched, in all pics I've seen. I'm sure all reference possible is being used to get the scale right on the development side.

Oh, and I also found out that Pepe's mouth is hinged, so it can open and close.

That’s great news.

Excited for any and all new Muppets news and additions to the collection.

That' cool to hear that Pepe's mouth opens! Is Deadly's mouth articulated, too? I hope Lew is slightly bigger than the slides indicate. I know he's small, but he looks pretty tiny next to Lips. I assume Lips will be about the same size as Zoot, Floyd, and Janice.

At the NYCC panel, someone asked if DST will start making variants for their Muppets line. DSTChuck said that Lew and Lips are probably about as far as they can go while hitting the sales they need and variants are likely. He also mentioned Zach wants to make sketch and movie variants, like Pigs in Space, Vets Hospital, and Christmas Carol. Pigs in Space would get us Link and Strangepork, which I definitely would like. Christmas Carol would be cool, too. Since I'm still hoping for them to make several additional Muppets, I hope sales for Lips and Lew are high enough to convince the DST folks to make new characters and not focus entirely on variants.

A Pigs In Space set would be great. Christmas Carol seems like it would be a big hit among casuals since many people just remeber that movie from their childhood and it's still regularly watched. I really want a sweater vest 80s style Gonzo too, not to mention the Muppet Babies from Muppets Take Manhattan.

I get not wanting to do variants, as it allows people to add to their collection and display without doubling up on characters, but there are iconic looks that we need to have.  Crazy that tne is almost 9 years in since wave 1 with no variants.

One thing I'm surprised about is a lack of Walter. Though I suppose his presence has fallen off since Muppets Most Wanted.

I just want to voice my support for character variations.  While I've bought every figure, I've never been as enthusiastic about this line since I have the Palisades figures.  However, exploring something new like Veterinarian's Hospital, Muppet babies (from The Muppet Movie) or especially Christmas Carol would be amazing.  Every year I watch Muppet Christmas Carol and then wish I had figures from the movie.  I almost bought the Funko Pops last year, but I resisted the temptation.  Covering this movie could make great holiday releases from DST for years to come.

@mwoo A vested Gonzo would be a sure buy, especially if he's a little bit taller than the current figure.

I'm curious how newer characters like Walter or Bobo would sell. I expected Walter to be an announced figure by now. The low sales of Pepe and Deadly have probably lowered the chances of getting Walter, or other newer characters, in the near future. But I wonder if characters that don't have Palisades figures, like Walter, Bobo, Sal (with Johnny), and Yolanda would sell better.
